I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

    I have been informed that 3 votes for YES, were actually votes for NO.

    So the corrected totals:

    122 No for Snorri

    112 Yes for Snorri

    Again, corrected the correciton so the tally is right?

    • Even though I voted for Snori to take an apprentice with Svina in mind there is one good thing about Katash taking her, in the absence of a direct hierarchical relationship the kid is more likely to tease her 'grand-master'. Goodness knows Snori could use some teasing. :V

    I think that error you're talking about with Derpio, CharBhaal, and Pempelune may have corrected itself after I tagged them and mentioned it. But that doesn't change the final result.

    119 No, 115 Yes is correct far as I can tell.

    im willing to vote to take an apprentice WHEN we don't have a mega gronti project, a war going on, and after karstah learns how to train an apprentice from us and we finish up our current windsight related research.

    I'll be interested in an apprentice after this next part of Windsight where we figure out how to do it without maiming. Gives us the right environment to entirely revamp the teaching curriculum. Which is probably round turn 62 or 63 tbh given the war and megadragon.

    I do not think there is a non-prosthetics way to gain wind-sight, it's a fundamentally unantural thing for a dwarf to have and those tend to require sacrifices.
     
    I might vote for more apprentices if our current ones start dying.

    EDIT: Provided their narrative space isn't taken up by their children/grandchildren.

    I imagine possibly Witchsight Rune having variants which focus on specific Wind of Magic and tool used for specific thing would be what dwarf jewelers use to see gems inner structure better, but as mechanism which they can see individual winds or all of them. Or something like glasses/googles that help see all the winds without needing to replace their eye. I still imagine those options would be less effective than going with replacing the eye.
