On Thread Etiquette:

I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Please endeavour to be cordial. :^)

[X] [Anniversary:] Strange things up here ya know, rules break and one must make do, sooner waste ale than give them a show. [Speed along Far Northern penchant to roll with the strange occurrences.]

I find myself a rather large fan of the North being known as the "weird" parts of Karak Ankor.
But, I also like the idea of them being the "Friendly" Dwarves, too.

[X] [Anniversary:] Now I'm not discounting the work of Morgrim's folk, but I can't share a toast with whatever that new gadget is. [Progress development of Far Northern Dawi preferring allies over tech.]

Hopefully the "Preferring Allies over Tech" part doens't mean the Far North would use Tech less then other parts of Karak Ankor.

And of course,
[X] [Anniversary:] Zhufbar seeks to harness torrents of a different sort. Harness the sky, gas that lifts and madness of youth. [Experiments with lighter than air ships start earlier.]
Because Dwarves gaining the power to fly early would be a real game changer, and I want to see Snorri's ensuing internal rant about how "Dwarves never needed to leave the ground and fly before, and most certainly not with a finiky airship that could be shot down easily, bah!"

As for the Mouth to the Dwarven Afterlife?
Hm, not much of a fan, I can see the appeal, but I feel it doesn't really... fit, all that much, to be honest.
A bit to obvious bit of reality mukery, but that's just me.

-[X] [Apprentice:] Yorri Oldorsson of Clan Winterhearth
-[X] [Apprentice:] Alma Almasdottir of Clan Winterhearth

I'd chose the Three Unlikly Named Triplets, but I like the idea of these three a tad bit more.

If anything, I feel the Triplets would learn better under Snorri, if they're still unclamied by then.

Edit:
Fuck it, I'm also voting for the Elf Vist.
Because why the fuck not?

Going with 3 given Karstah had to deal with 3 shard wyrms with varying personalities and interests...and she will have help of Snorri with some stuff so there should not be much problem.

Maybe we could trade some snazz points for a lucky insight?
That'd be nice lmao.

If KKR this turn and Kraken Autopsy next turn are kind to us, we might be in a position to finish it. But another option is on turn 61 doing 3 Windsight, 1 KKR (its only semi-random), and then Conclave perhaps is the final hail mary. Or if the Conclave is an action on turn 62 we might be slightly better off.

Oh. Wow. That's right around the end of turn 61/start of turn 62.

We'd be able to squeeze out Windsight if we can get drip from somewhere like the Kraken Autopsy. Examining KKR this turn may also work if we're blessed with luck. If we got 3 drip into ESP, then we'd be able to do 3 ap into Windsight, 1 war, 1 Conclave and wrap the whole thing up with a neat little bow.

Hmm. Might have to skip that one and reveal Windsight independent of the Conclave.
The Conclave becoming your "throw wrench into society" moment was not unexpected but its still funny.

Most people are happy revealing a Rune they learned you know.

Maybe I make it a plan quest and have everything set to the next conclave as a deadline :^V

I see no reason to give poor Karstah three apprentices unless she takes the triplets and since I'm not voting for that only for Svina that is what I'm voting for

As for the other vote... I like allies but a point has been made that we tend to do that in quests in general and will doubtless keep doing it so lets see what the Everqueen might have to say

If only Snerra could be found, she could do with a few more bumbling youths under her belt.

As for Vragni, I'm extremely tempted to write in a vote of a letter of congratulations, wishing him the best and looking forward to seeing the works he creates both with the tongs and inspired by them. Zero sarcasm, insult, or faffing about with doublespeak. Partly because he'd hate it, but mostly because I still wish we could reconcile with the man (despite the entire issue being literally one of his own making). The man is going to cause a rift by making all his apprentices refuse to speak or teach a rune to one that Snorri and his students have taught at this rate.

I think you may have copied my original vote and including the part where I accidentally pasted in the same thing twice. Sorry
