On Thread Etiquette:

I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Please endeavour to be cordial. :^)

The even-more-elder High Priestess of Valaya is an even gumblier-grumbler than our protagonist. Nice!

@BungieONI Your plan turned out to have really good thematic synergy. I though it wasn't properly action efficient, but it turns out to have worked with the narrative of the update really well.

I was rather surprised it turned out that synergistic tbh. I knew the Foundry would do Something, but that much was a happy accident.

In regards to efficiency, I'm not clear if the action from the grudge towards Alter Assembly counted as one of ours and end up proc'ing our productivity perk? Or do the actions we get from from grudges act more like apprentice actions in that sense and we still need two 'natural' actions to trigger the perk? I couldn't tell from the update if the extra healing runes were from action overflow or just a natural outgrowth of the battle.

It doesn't really matter in this instance but it's helpful to know for future Grudge actions.

It's in no small part due to a flexible system.

But speaking of which; is the Gromril itself useless without a proper smelter, or just less economically prosperous as it can only be supplied raw, and we'd require trade with Karaks with proper smelters, and between that and distance and time Kraka Drak ends up with less?

This was already answered in the updates around the battle. The Grudge reduced the number of actions we had to spend to complete it from 2 to 1 and the tonnes of trollparts made it better. There was no overflow on the Altars.

I imagine a large amount of Gromril is always being shipped southwards. There's only so many Gromril hotspots for one Hold to try monopolizing it.

You have smelters that create bars of the stuff, and sell both that and the ore you don't have the capacity to process southwards. As the hold grows and once the foundry is completed the ratio of ores and bars will shift in the favour of the latter.

Are people more satisfied with the battle now that we see the building catastrophe our first great enemy was pushing himself towards, giving us that last chance we succeeded in (with a lot of help from chasm-chan)

Think iron versus steel but imp. It's still isnt just m

I eat chicken breast too. Doesnt mean I have to wear it.
Autocorrect?

Fine. still want to make use of such an excellent ingredient/reagent.

That we agree on. But keep any leather products just for flesh and blood Dwarves. Picture the Lincoln Monument if the suit was real cow leather. Then add time. Ew. Any reagents for aesthetics sake I am assuming is consumed in the Rune creation.

Wonder if there is rune to increase the population..

One third casualties are pretty serious. It will take a few decades to make up for that loss.

We should also see if we could do anything to increase the combat power of our dwarves. Last time they were kind of underwhelming.

There honestly doesn't need to be if adherence to canon events and stations is tossed out so we can make our own story.
We have centuries to play with before it even matters, why toss it out so prematurely?

I would prefer there be adherence to canon unless we make a big enough change to ripple it away. I've been looking forward to how we handle daemon invasions since the quest started.
