I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

1) How many Bars for an Ogre-Sized Gronti with an Adamant Skeleton?
2) How many Bars for a fullly Adamant Ogre-Sized Gronti?
3) How many Bars for an Adamant-enhanced rune set on a Bloodthirster-Sized Gronti?
4) How many Bars for a Bloodthirster-Sized Gronti with an Adamant Skeleton?
And just for completeness, I must ask:
5) How many Bars for a fully Adamant Bloodthirster-Sized Gronti?

1. 4 bars
2. 16 bars
3. 3 bars per item, 12 for pure adamant armour, 3 for minimum effect of boost on armour.
4. 8 bars
5. 32 bars

The cloaks and the pendant were due turn 18 right? So next turn we need to put aside damn near every other shiny and pump those out. If I've got my timing right.
Yeah the Dowry part 2 commission absolutely needs to be done on turn 18, that's when it's due. It's sitting at 1/3 now. 2 actions would finish it and overflow it by one, which I think is pretty small. 3 actions for it means we get 3 actions of overflow, one for each item. That lets us also make the Banner with 2 actions (It's part 2 only takes 1 action), overflowing that by two.

Ah, good. Good. Means we should probably be able to pump out the armour for Otrek and Gloin as well probably? If we can come to a consensus about what material to make it out of.
We could but if we put two actions into the armor, we only get 1 overflow. Each piece of armor is then going to get 1.5 actions into it, and that's okay but could be better, especially in the face of neither having a combo. In my mind them not having a combo means that they need three actions put into the part 2 at least, because that means that in total due to trait procs they each get 2.5 actions into them.

Since material only does so much, and we don't have a combo, then we need to make it up with the armor's via effort and in that vein it's my opinion that 3 is a good baseline. I want them to at least be T3s so they're reasonably better than what the pair are wearing now.

Rune of Daemon slaying: A potent rune to kill demons

Rune of Sanctuary: This rune magnifies the natural anti-magic aura that already resides inside each Dwarf, acts like a first line of defense against the chaotic taint that would protect the pillar from the chaotic energy.

Master rune of Grungni: This rune stirs up the winds of magic using their swirling arcane force. Instead of swirling arcane force with the rune of demon slaying it change to swirling energy of cleansing fire. Like a controllable Tornado that sucks demon taint in the area of effect and cleanse it.

Rune of Daemon slaying + Rune of Sanctuary + Rune of Grungni, Runed into a pillar of Pure Gromril reinforced by adamant, and make a crown and rune it into something that would somehow connect it to the pillar and control it.

What do you guys think? possible to make?

So what you are saying is you want to make the Pillars of Grungni up north? Where do you want to plop the pillars of Grimnir? Becausewi feel Spelleating or breaking would work better for Grungni and Daemon-Salying for Grimnir.

Completely agreed. I would rather err on the side of more overflow than less.

These armour sets, as well as the Dowry and Banner are for our Hold, and for our Royal clan.

This will be a part of our legacy, just the way Trollslayer will be.

I would like it to make it as good as we can as we reasonably can.

Our adamant bottleneck does encourage us to research more and put loads of actions into each item made. Also the better to let it pile up.

Not really. There are caps to what can be Gained from overflow.

The issue is a matter of time. Better to have them before the next great campaign for the King and Prince than after.

As far as I can tell they're going out every turn, and have been since the beginning of the game. It just doesn't stop because there's always something else to go out and murder. E: Well more specifically Otrek, this most recent time was the first time Gloin went out. I'm less concerned about the next great campaign when they're pretty consistently fighting every turn.

If we do decently on the Banner and Cloaks, which is pretty plausible since it's not that hard to achieve that in my mind, then they'll both have pretty good defense. That's enough in my mind to put three actions in on turn 19, or turn 20 (if people don't want to make the prince's armor from Adamant which seems likely).

So how likely are we to make Ymir AKA the super Gronti created using the T5 heart in the next 3-4 turns? Would be pretty useful to have an epic tier tank/super combatant for what is to come and think it would be more practical to make it using Pure Gromril and then just outfitting it with say Adamant Armor later. Seeing as the QM did confirm that using a rune of forging along with the heart would make it extremely easy to repair imagine that a rune of fortitude would combo with forging when used on a Gronti which would likely give us a super tank that can take on hordes of enemies and sent into the thickest fighting while drawing the most powerful enemies yet still being able to be repaired pretty easily between battles.

I wouldn't mind, certainly. Honestly, at this point, I'm halfway convinced that the Movement of Things won't help any with Golems and Gronti. It's meant to expand application, after all, just as studying the Master Rune of Snorri Klausson is meant (in part) to allow it to be placed on a weapon. So barring letting the Adamant build up, we're good to go. But if we could improve it later that would be ideal.

One more turn would give us enough Adamant for an Ogre sized one with an Adamant skeleton.

Not sure about the Skeleton since the QM IIRC pretty much stated that using Adamant for only part of something only gives the minimal benefit if we had just used it to make the entire thing. Hence why I suggested just making the armor itself out of Adamant.

@soulcake, how much Adamant would we need to use in a blood thirster sized Gronti to get its boost to the power of the Runes?

I'm thinking we could make an Adamant Heart inside the Gronti and that is what we would inscribe the Runes on.

So how likely are we to make Ymir AKA the super Gronti created using the T5 heart in the next 3-4 turns? Would be pretty useful to have an epic tier tank for what is to come and think it would be more practical to make it using Pure Gromril and then just outfitting it with say Adamant Armor later.
Well if we go by the list I set out of things I thought were important for it to be the best practical form we could get it:

The Tl;Dr is that to make one out of Pure Gromril at Ogre size we could do it in threeish turns after finishing turn 18 (the Dowry) if we saved the Adamant Armor for later.
  • The universal bit of leg work we have to do is studying the heart itself, for any project using it. We can't use it in a project until we do that. Done.

For the Golem, there's a couple of steps that would need to be taken before we could create it according to my proposal:

  • Since I want to plate it in Adamant we need to be able to produce Adamant reliably. That means finishing Rune Metal part 4 at least, if part 4 gives reliable Adamant manufacture, which seems likely. Part four gave reliable Adamant manufacture, and we worked on making more Adamant per turn this turn so that's done.

  • We'd also need to study the Movement of Things research. That should help with understanding and improving upon Golems in general, ala Rune Metal is my hope. This isn't done, needs 8 actions. E: Two turns of 3 action effort.

That's the research stuff.
  • Then we have to get whatever supporting ingredients we think we need. Troll parts are effectively infinite considering where we live, plus Pure Gromril. There might be others, but those are the main ones. We haven't done any of this, the most promising one is Adamant.

  • Then we have to make the Golem itself, which we know is 3 actions if Ogre sized. One to take up part one of the request, 2 to actually do part 2. Then because we know how we can put equipment on it, that means a further 1 action for each piece of equipment we want for it, more Adamant and more ingredients. Going upwards of 8 actions is eminently possible just building the Gronti and its stuff.

  • We need to some how test out the intended combo for it because if our Super Thing doesn't combo that's a damn shame.

Its worth noting that I figure we can get the Warrior in place in 3-4 turns as a test bed for a Combo for Ymir, since that was the point of it, and that's pretty good since it's job is to guard the Inner Gate. That achieves a decent bit of strategic good and gives us time to gather materials to make a better Ymir.

Hmm. Why do you think so?

If that was the case that it's just Understand A Master Rune but cheaper then... why does Movement of Things exist as an option? It's a repeat of another option but cheaper, and so outright better than every other Master Rune in terms of action count to understand it. We learned our Master Runes from Yorri, why do none of the others get their own unique researches that are of comparable cost?

I took Movement of Things to be about the field of Gronti design which is like its own entire thing, because they're pinnacles of Runecraft and each is entirely unique.

[ ] The Movement of things: The Rune of Waking or Animation as some would call it is a rare rune. How Master Yorri knows both the regular and Master Rune could be explained by either a harrowing adventure full of terror, beasties and treasure or by something as mundane as asking a friend, you could never be sure with the man. Still, this was a rune that, to your frustration, you haven't had much chance to tinker with. Maybe just a peak? [Cost: 8 actions] Student of the Odd will proc.

Any plan for the making of Ymir to be made out of Silver Wutroth with an Adamant skeleton or is the thread locked on to the idea of using gromril?

We'd have to do a Silver Wutroth research action, because I don't know the virtues of that over gromril.

Also, how many golems are we planning to make? Apparently we named the trollheart golem Ymir, is that different from the Warrior?

I was planning on making two. The Warrior is a test bed to see if the combo I had in mind for Ymir (Awakening, Might, Fortitude for synergies with the Heart) would actually combo.
