Of the remaining bits:
-[] We don't want to give Sendai reason to believe that our negotiations here are doomed to fail, causing them to act... impulsively.
>> Unnecessary
-[] We intend to deal with the extortionate behavior that Sendai has been engaging in, that has been making life difficult for others.
>> Unnecessary, though probably brought up in the negotiations later.
-[] With our grief manipulation ability, we can largely eliminate grief seed resource issues, rendering the extortion pointless.
>> Already demonstrated.
-[] If you have a specific need for Rin and her abilities, we can see about addressing that right now, before we move to the broader discussions.
>> Appears to be irrelevant, so can discard.
-[] Travel as a group to Rin's body and revive her. Preferred method is Sabrina kneeling over her, getting handed the soul gem, and placing the soul gem against Rin where she can see it when she revives.
>> Can happen next time.
[] Move to an acceptable location for discussions, explain our position, and start getting their story.
>> Can happen next time.

So, mostly discardable; just don't get too distracted from Rin.

And, because there's clearly not enough paranoia here:

Main question is what, exactly, we're agreeing to. It seems simple enough; cleaning up a little grief is quite literally the point of Sabrina's power. That makes me feel a bit concerned about the phrasing here:
"I- we," Chouko looks at her friends. "Could we do... could you help us?"
"Could we do..." -- I'm not quite sure what the question there was originally intended to be.

"Could you help us?" seems like an innocent enough question (particularly in light of their desperation), but we may be agreeing to more than what we're seeing on the surface. It's particularly suspicious when there seems to be no reason to break the update to ask for a vote on it.

Am wondering if we just recruited four new magical girls to our organization.

[x] Agree to cleanse all soul gems, as well as refresh all grief seeds.
-[x] But.. that's not all you need help with, is it?

They're actually reasonable meguca.
Imagine that - magical girls...who are reasonable!

"And, uh. Not to... deliberately try and prove the point, but I've got one more thing to say... I can cleanse Soul Gems and Grief Seeds alike, and I'm willing to offer my services. Free of charge. After all this is over."

Since it was recent, I went and pulled the exact wording.

Mmm, I think we might want to clarify a bit. While Sabrina is clearly trying to say "I can provide help after things have calmed down", I think the University Group might have thought she was offering to do something radical *now*. Dunno how important you guys think it is, but "agree" really could refer to a lot of different things.

Yeah, reading it again, this seems like a really odd place to call for a vote. I think something more specific may be in order.

[x] Agree to cleanse all soul gems, including Rin's

Also, we offered cleansing to Ishinomaki pretty much immediately, but that the service we were offering (as opposed to the demonstration) wasn't on offer til after the war was resolved.

Of course these girls seem very willing to drop the war immediately if it would get them our services. It doesn't seem like we'd need to put that in as a conditional to get them to stand down, the way Ishinomaki, and particularly Sendai were somewhat reluctant about.

That's not true. Their attitudes in the update could very easily be ones of desperation. They're short on grief seeds and know about the lichbomb, it's not unreasonable to think that they might know about the witchbomb as well.

The question in my mind now is: Do we cleanse seeds as well? Kinematics, can you split that part of your vote into two parts? I think it's easily possible to vote for cleansing soul gems, then vote for whether or not to cleanse grief seeds.

Eh, we already stated this was intended to stop the bloodshed... And if it turns out it was something radical (I doubt it), then we can reinstate what we actually agreed to do.

[x]Agree to cleanse all their gems. Cleanse their seeds too, as extra incentive for them to cooperate for Rin and to help win their trust.

I mean, they're not going to start a fight with us right there and we're not leaving them until we're sure there won't be more fighting...so why not?
