I'm thinking that's a question for next vote, honestly: this one doesn't look like it's going to be getting to action, largely because I don't want to vote to, say, flash vaporize the entire storm system via ribbon combo until we have a better idea of what's going on. But, going beyond that, mostly my intent looks like -- "We're going to want someone on Madoka the whole time so we keep her and Nagisa in the same pool." Then... to be blunt, we have some capacity to sneak off, or worst case we could even just vanish into timestop when her back is turned (she won't see that as magic, after all, just strange).

But honestly, my personal preference would be to just... Get this dealt with without Sabrina even needing to be involved beyond the organizing. It would be a really, really great precedent to be able to say "hey cool we don't have to drop everything for every crisis, we have friends who can deal with it." And the Big Cheese would be pleased.

It's not some kind of unconscious influence - it's just that on a purely OoC level, it happened to jigsaw perfectly with my previous plans. Coincidence, as far as that but goes.

Anyway, as to the current storm issue...

Enemy action looks likely. We're scheduled for the attack from the Soujus, and it's unfortunately not like we haven't made other enemies. Also, we're close to Oriko's predicted death date unless I'm off the mark.

I want to suggest we include Madoka and Hitomi in the local telepathy explanation about the storm. The magical girls may be the ones who'll have to fight if there is enemy action, but the two of them should know something's up. Leaving them blind to the situation is a dick move. Also, they'd be in a better position to cover for us with Nagisa than anyone since they both generally know the score. Plus, establishing a precedent that they get word if shit that could affect them is going down will help them remain calm later, since they'll know if something serious was up, we'd have told them.

I do agree we need to keep a magical girl with Madoka if we have to head out and deal with a threat, both as protection against whatever threat is coming given Iowa's known MO, and also someone to keep Kyubey from popping up and manipulating a moment of uncertainty.

I like Sayaka for this. She's witch bombed now, so she is 100% onboard with the Don't Make A Wish Foundation, and her clone abilities make it easier for her to handle slipping away without actually slipping away. Also, if we are dealing with the Soujus, a Sayaka clone can't be gemsnatched if the real Sayaka's with the rest of us, so what looks like a soft target will turn out to be anything but.

Also a reminder, Nagisa is still a potential. She isn't read in, and is likely to accept Kyubey making a high pressure sales pitch if she thinks her big sis is in danger if whoever we leave to keep an eye on things loses track of her.

We could have Homura take either us or Sayaka on a timestop scouting run to get a better view or try to find whoever's causing this. Sabrina has good magic detection and Sayaka has that eagle eye power (plus can spin off a clone to keep searching or talk to someone out of timestop).

They probably don't even need an excuse for Nagisa if Sayaka and Homura go. Just duck behind a corner or say they want to check out a shop real quick while the rest of the group keeps doing what they're doing.

Edit: When you get to this, the meep, know that I now have a purse of my own! I even keep the cash in a dedicated pocket that zips closed.

[X] Mika: Thank her for letting you know about this, you'll get back to her in a second?

[X] Mami, Sayaka, Homura, Madoka, Hitomi, by telepathy: Fill them in on what's happening.
-[X] Could be enemy action? Certainly worth investigating for safety's sake, should Mika be invited over to help?
-[X] You'll contact everyone nearby in a second to fill them in, should you contact Fukushima or the Pleiades too?

[X] If friend consensus was to invite Mika, let her know that you'd very much appreciate if she came over and helped. How fast can she get here?

[X] Kyouko, Yuma, Oriko, Kirika, Shiogama Girls, Animators: Fill them in on the situation. Promise them updates as you get more info, ask them to contact you if something happens.
-[X] Pleiades, Fukushima Mercenaries: Follow White Ribbon group consensus on whether to contact or not.

[X] Wrap up your shopping trip relatively quickly while you wait on Mika to arrive, try not to spook Nagisa too much.
-[X] Have Sayaka split some clones off to do some preliminary scouting while you wait.

That's too much, assumes too much, and over-reacts.

Best way to handle an ambush is to turn the ambush on the attacker. So if it is an ambush or not we don't want to immediately reveal that we know something is up.

[] Thank Mika for the heads up. She is of course welcome to visit and investigate if she is curious, but if she rather stay univolved you'll report back to her on anything you learn about the storm.

I've actually eaten cheese ice cream. It's called queso ice cream in the Philippines, and it was my favorite flavor when I was a kid. That being said, I have very faint recollection of how it actually tasted. I'm assuming it's pretty good, since I remember they sell huge tubs of the stuff in the freezer section and it's often paired with ube ice cream, and ube is the Philippine's favorite flavor.

From what I recall, it's... savory? Definitely saltier than normal flavors like chocolate or vanilla. Mine had tiny chunks of cheese.
