Kai brought up some pretty good points:

- Kyouko should probably hear about this ASAP, since she's in the most danger, being isolated.
-- Plus this is an opportunity to get Kyouko more integrated into our group.
--- Plus Kyouko deserves a say in whether Mika comes over, given their history.

- Oriko's got clairvoyance, so getting her help is obviously relevant.
-- Homura needs to be on the line while we contact Oriko, for assurance purposes.

- We don't need to dictate stuff like Sayaka using her clones - we can just request help from our friends and let them decide what the best way to do that is.

- Mika's offer to help is mostly in the form of info gathering, so we should make sure that it's clear we don't expect her to fight in our response to her.

- My previous vote was over the 150 word limit. :anger::anger::anger:

So, yeah, this addresses a bunch of concerns.

Redshirt made me realize that we could include Kyouko AND oriko AND madohito if we de-bundled mika which completely changed the vote entirely and made everything 1000x better and he's awesome and i'd list more reasons why he's awesome except i'm dead so i can't do so at present

Jeezes, I've been here for two and a half years at this point. Where does the time go? Here's to another two and a half and beyond!

All I wanted was to make sure Madoka and Hitomi were included in the call, so I'm good with the changes.

Okay so purely for my edification (1) I'd like to request people contribute a large variety of ways we might, oh, you know, get rid of the entire storm system.

So far I'm at "flash vaporize the entire thing by emission of heat from grief seeded into the storm via ribbon." Thoughts?

(1) -- and also to raise general confidence, but mostly for my edification. Cat want imagine weather go BOOM, nya.

Also, somewhat contraintuitively - storms are the result of low pressure systems.

A good way to stop a storm would be to increase barometric pressure - ie dump a lot more air in above the storm system.

Timestop is potentially useful for this - take air from somewhere, move it to somewhere else, repeat.

... this is not practical, however, even without magic maintaining the storm.

I'd wait for Mika to arrive and give us an expert opinion, before planning any drastic measures. Everything you can do to physically disperse a storm will take a lot of energy and will probably have quite a few side effects even moreso when there's unknown magic involved in the mix. Mika doing something about it if turns out to be danegrous after all is probably the safest solution.

Edit: A maybe possible but ridiculous solution would be to have Kirika anti magic the sky if it's magic that keeps the storm going longer than it should :V

Humid, warm air at ground level is the energy source for natural storms. Elevated temperature and water vapor content both cause air to rise. As it rises the water condenses, heating the air and driving further rise, until the condensing water rains out and the now dry parcel of air can cool enough to sink.

If you took the humidity and heat out of the low-lying air, a natural storm would be cut off. If Sabrina and Mami could do a combo attack to spread a high surface area of grief/ribbon/anything that can either be maintained at low temperature but above water freezing, or be endowed with magical water-condensing properties (preferably without heating up in the process), over a large geographic area, that would halt a natural storm. Ideally you would want to cover a significant portion of the storm's area with this magic dehumidifier. Also, I think it should condense the water and absorb the heat of condensation, but let the water drip off it, since suddenly removing water entirely over such large area seems like it could have undesirable side effects.

Not a natural storm, of course, but I imagine such a technique at least has good odds of picking a fight for control of the weather with whoever is powering the storm, though.

On the more arcane side of things, Sayaka has a lightning power, which is probably conceptually close to storms. Not sure how it'd work- especially since Sayaka isn't the original owner of that power- but it might be worth looking into.
