The 150 word limit is more... guidelines, than some hard and fast rule. It's primary purpose is to stop the old bad habit of people attempting to write the entire update in a vote through vast arrays of nested if/then statements, and secondarily to make a reasonable cutoff point so that Firn can get to most, if not all, of the points and goals raised in the vote. Being 30 words over isn't that much of a problem.

I remember those bad old days.

Sabrina has gotten much less forgetful since we started doing the vote word limit. Since we don't have so much that we "forgot we didn't do" because the update didn't get to some part of the vote and we never actually continued the vote in abeyance.

This would also have to be a lie.
"Not yet," Homura demurs. "And I have not. You are an anomaly, Sabrina, like Oriko. I- I've never seen you before."
Why the stutter?
You cock your head, reminded of something. "Speaking of which. Why isn't Oriko dead? I figured you'd kill her after... what she did."

That hora hora the next line down is implying something is up with what Homura said.

And we never did figure out why the stutter.

Wait, I thought Madokami had killed her Witch and was incorruptible. :thonk:
A. Wished away Witches Madokami did, we don't know anything about the Madoka who wished everything could be fixed.
B. As Homucifer herself said, a Demon isn't a Witch.
Madowitch cannot be fixed. Madowitch is a Witch (or Demon, it doesn't really matter) wielding power on the meta level, power to completely rewrite the entire setting, its history, its future, and its laws. Even an unbound Grief controller can't do much about that. Even "merely" Homulily is a threat we can only handle by preventing it from existing at all; a Witch'd Madokami is completely beyond anyone who doesn't, at the very least, have some serious Independent Manifestation memes.

... So, by induction, Madowitch is just as much in contradiction of this Madoka's Wish as in the original canon. Or, perhaps inversely, a Madowitch can be permitted to exist if and only if there would also somehow arise an ability to meaningfully oppose her.

AKA: guaranteed game balance on this one, at least.

I'll admit, part of me is really tempted to bring up Sakaya's parents being open-minded in Kyouko's earshot, just so that she knows that won't be a problem if and when she develops feelings for Sayaka later. But I suppose that's probably a bad idea.

... Maybe once Sayaka and Kyousuke are sorted out.

No, that would be way too much in any circumstance where attraction isn't as obvious as ours and Mami's. Circumstances are different, Kyoko might not be interested in Sayaka when she already has Yuma and Sabrina reminding her what morality is like, Sayaka might actually be straight. As is, we've introduced them, and whatever happens from there is fine. I'd like to stay like that.

*nods*

for now we need to observe...

.... or get Yuma to call Sayaka big sister too : P

There is a simple way to determine whether or not Sayaka's gay.

Get her to help Kyouko try on some new clothes. If she's gay, she's going to spend a lot of time appraising how Kyouko looks in a new outfit.

[X] Lunch!
[X] Meeting with your friends - Nagisa, too!
-[X] Introduce the elements of Nagisa and Yuma, and observe the resulting chemical reaction.

[X] Don't pressure Kyouko into coming shopping with you. She could pick up some extra clothes for herself and Yuma if she came, but you'll understand if she's all socialed out for the day.
-[X] If she does come along, try to make sure she doesn't feel too out-of-place among all the rich girls and expensive shops. Maybe get demolished at DDR if there's an arcade?

[X] While shopping, acquire some/all of the following, leaving the rest for next update:
-[X] A decent smartphone plus data plan.
-[X] Your own soaps and shampoos.
-[X] A separate bank account for yourself.
-[X] Appropriate formal clothes for the Shizuki meeting. (And maybe Tokyo too?)

[X] Just generally have fun with your friends!
-[X] Buy something nice for Mami.
-[X] If possible, try roping Madoka into helping Homura pick an outfit.

Removed as ultraquestionable:
-[] Quietly ask Homura if she wants to get Madoka something?
--[] You know Madoka wants an iPod...

Replaced to:
-[X] Quietly ask Homura if getting gifts for Madoka is something she's interested in doing.
--[X] If yes, see if you can arrange a situation where it's clear to everyone that Madoka would like an iPod so Homura can offer to buy her one without it being weird.

"Hey want me to buy you an iPod" vs "Oh you want an iPod? That's no problem"

Adding, because paranoid cat and it's a litmus test of the "memory wipe is an active effect and QB cancelled it for people in families after we told him to" theory:

[X] Add to abeyance: check privately with Sayaka -- did her parents get their memories back?

Can anyone see if they can make an omake out of this? At least with sufficient use of drugs.

[X] Kaizuki

[Q] If Kyouko does agree to go shopping, see if Sayaka would be willing to help her try on new clothes, and watch from a distance to see Sayaka's reaction.

Yo let's not end up with firn asking for more votes

Maybe that means somebody comes in and makes changes -- fine. But let's not hold up the update I want pmas without delay ;_;

[X] Kaizuki

Important question, have we told Kyouko and Yuma not to mention meguca around Nagisa? Because we REALLY SHOULD DO THAT

*Nyans in alarm*
