I wonder if this is To The Stars influence or just oddly prevalent fanon."You know," you say to Mami and Homura. "Sometimes, I'm genuinely uncertain whether Yuma is an evil mastermind, or just a kid."
Interesting, I thought that the thread was in consensus on the "zero loops since Madowish" theory.Did Homura turn back the clock, or did Madoka?
Was there another loop in between, that's gone missing? How would that work, with Madoka still around?
Madoka Wished to fix everything, so... what had gone so terribly wrong?
That makes no sense. There can be no Sabrina without the thread. That's the whole premise of the quest. Here's a thought I just had.
This might not be the first loop where Homura has encountered us.
She might have done one other loop before this one, and whatever happened, something went wrong, but she wound up learning that she can trust us, and that's the real reason she's so accommodating towards us in this loop.
Or maybe I'm shadowrunning. Who knows?
You mean this was an act? There's a pistol in her other hand, but it's not pointed at you. Not right now, anyway, though you have a feeling it might have been otherwise for a while, there.
Both hands are trembling.
"H-how?" One simple word.
You shake your head slowly at that. "That... is the one question I can't answer. The first thing I can remember is waking up in the alley. I don't know how or why I know... but I want to help, Homura. That much, I'm sure of."
Homura takes a shaky breath. "I. How do I know I can trust you? If you know about Oriko, then you know what she can do. How do I know you're nor like her?"
This would also have to be a lie."You've never run into anyone with my powers, though, have you?" You hold up your right hand for emphasis, reminding her of what, precisely, you can do. "Speaking of which, do you need...?"
"Not yet," Homura demurs. "And I have not. You are an anomaly, Sabrina, like Oriko. I- I've never seen you before."
She's said we're new several times.Here's a thought I just had.

Brinapilot, however, only entertains the idea for a moment before switching to the "two loops since Madowish" theory.
Is this Firn giving hints to steer us on the right track?
Or did I just miss where people talked about the two-wish theory?
I brought up both possibilities in my post describing the situation, and I'm the one who noticed the discrepancy originally, so it might just be a reflection of that.
[X] Lunch!
[X] Meeting with your friends - Nagisa, too!
-[X] Introduce the elements of Nagisa and Yuma, and observe the resulting chemical reaction.
[X] Don't pressure Kyouko into coming shopping with you. She could pick up some extra clothes for herself and Yuma if she came, but you'll understand if she's all socialed out for the day.
-[X] If she does come along, try to make sure she doesn't feel too out-of-place among all the rich girls and expensive shops.
[X] While shopping, acquire some/all of the following, leaving the rest for next update:
-[X] A decent smartphone plus data plan.
-[X] A seperate bank account for yourself.
-[X] Appropriate formal clothes for the Shizuki meeting. (And maybe Tokyo too?)
[X] If possible, try roping Madoka into helping Homura pick an outfit.
-[X] Quietly tell Homura that Madoka would really like an iPod.
[X] Just generally have fun with your friends!
Here's my initial vote. Suggestions/critique welcome!
[X] Ask Sayaka if her parents got their memories back
-[X] Out of earshot of Kyouko
--[X] You're trying to reconcile that with Hitomi's mom
Oh jeez, that brings up a horrible thought.I wonder if this is To The Stars influence or just oddly prevalent fanon.

The possibility there was a loop in between that Homura doesn't remember links up badly with Madoka having made a wish that might have turned her into Madokami, and us having problems with an entity involving black feathers.
What if Madokami spent the hidden loop trying to fix everything herself but failed, and now we're dealing with Madocifer.

I guess this would make a good theme song for her.
A. Wished away Witches Madokami did, we don't know anything about the Madoka who wished everything could be fixed.Wait, I thought Madokami had killed her Witch and was incorruptible.

I think.Yuma as a cheerful preadolescent Illuminati secretly guiding the mankind from behind the curtain
@Redshirt Army Um, that vote surpasses the 150-word limit that Firn gave...might want to trim it a bit.
I like what you put @Redshirt Army, but, uh, probably should add a caveat that if kyouko and Yuma come shopping to not mention or do magic around Nagisa.
The 150 word limit is more... guidelines, than some hard and fast rule. It's primary purpose is to stop the old bad habit of people attempting to write the entire update in a vote through vast arrays of nested if/then statements, and secondarily to make a reasonable cutoff point so that Firn can get to most, if not all, of the points and goals raised in the vote. Being 30 words over isn't that much of a problem.@Redshirt Army Um, that vote surpasses the 150-word limit that Firn gave...might want to trim it a bit.
