The main question is, if both Sabrina and Homura were sent into the past by Madokami, then why the two week difference in-between our arrival points? Why not send us with Homura in her hospital room or somewhere nearby?

Obviously, some things should have worked out just right for us to not die, if we were dying before getting transported. Like, Madokami could have homed in to her own location and time when another she was with Kyubey, and it required for her to be aware of magic, having met Kyubey, etc.

Like, she couldn't aim our point of arrival by figuring out where Kyubey was, but she could figure out where Madoka2 was and then worked out the time and place when Kyubey would be traveling with her, okay.

But that means, it was absolutely essential for us to contract on arrival, that means our braindamage internal organ damage wasn't the result of Madokami screwing up our navigation controls or something, Sabrina as created had been untenable to survive for any meaningful length of time from the beginning. Sending us to Kyubey was the only way for Sabrina to make it out alive.

Suddenly, all my shitposts about Madokami using Orbital Befriending on Walpurgisnacht/Her Witch are much more plausible.

———————————
Sabrina ( seriously, Sabrina? How terribly original, Mom. Ha. Ha. Ha. ) slowly opened her eyes.

Weightless, she floated in-between reality, surrounded by nothing in particular. Before her, a vast infinity of darkness and light stretched on, the checkerboard of the universe breathtaking in its beauty, half-radiant, half-shrouded, half... consumed by something?

Oh, she remembered it now. How embarrassing. She, uh, she probably should apologize for trying to devour the immediate metagalaxy and/or drown it in despair. It's not like she knew better at the time!

Slowly, she turned her head, looking for her- mother? savior? goddess? other self?- looking for Madoka. Despite being weightless, the effort nearly sent her reeling. A sharp spike of pain drove its way from her head to somewhere in her abdomen and back again.

-an arrow, brighter than Despair, brighter than the hottest stars, let loose and flying straight at her-

"Ugh," Sabrina moaned. "Too much Nanoha anime, mom."

And then, to her horror, she found what she was looking for.

Here she was. Madoka.

Also Homura.

Her moms.

Hugging in front of her.

Naked.

In Space.

Why.

Feebly, Sabrina questioned the unfairness of the universe.

"Oh my Madokami, whyyyyyyy-" she whined.

Suddenly, Homura's eyes met hers.

Her face lit in confusion, and then, in - in what Sabrina was sure was almost a mirror of her own - mortification.

Quickly, she tried to disentangle herself from the, ugh, hug.

Madoka hummed questioningly, oblivious to everything:

"Is something wrong, Homura-chan?"

Homura managed to squeeze out:

"There. Behind. A, a person. Our... daughter?" she paused, before blurting out all at once. "Sheislookingatus!.."

"Oh," Madoka blushed, going from pink to something resembling puce in two seconds flat, and spun around, turning to Sabrina. "Oh dear."

"Erase. This. This, thisness, from my memories, please," Sabrina said in clipped tones. "I know you can."

"I can't! It's not exactly precision work, everything from your immediate memories will be gone!" Madoka exclaimed.

"Don't care. You need me to what, fix everything, right?" Sabrina asked, and Madoka nodded weakly. "I'll figure it out on the ground, so to speak. Just... no child should live with a memory of her parents engaging in Naked Space Hugs in front of her!" She exclaimed with absolute conviction.

"Once I send you back, you'll start dying..." Madoka cautioned.

"Send me to Kyubey, then. The greedy little rat will Contract anything with a pulse and Potential. Wasn't that your plan, anyway?"

'A crude, if accurate description of my policies,' Kyubey agreed.

"Wait, you were here too?" Homura exclaimed in absolute horror. "Madoka. Delete this."

"But-"

"No buts," she huffed. "Our daughter is smart, she'll figure it out."

"Gee, thanks, mom."

"Oh, alright," Madoka said indignantly. "Now, to find someone who would erase my memories..."

She snapped her fingers, and, poof, Homura was gone. Presumably, with her memories deleted, Sabrina guessed.

Madoka floated towards Sabrina.

"Good luck," she said, and bopped Sabrina on the nose.

There, everyone was gone, leaving her alone with her im-mortal embarrassment. Also, Kyubey,

"... How much did you see?"

'Everything. However, I don't see anything wrong with myself observing," Kyubey's red eyes gleamed. 'I'm always watching, and anyone hardly notic-"

"Ew, gross, stop, just stop."

A minute passed or, perhaps, eternity. Who could say?

"Say," Madoka began hopefully. "Could I get another Contract to delete these memories from my mind?"

'One Contract per person, I'm afraid. Apologies.'

"... fiddlesticks."

So, there's a note from elsewhere in favor of Sayaka involvement here that I find pretty insightful:

Sabrina had promised Kyouko that if things looked to turn ugly, the rest of us would step in to stop it, and thus Sayaka being there would be helpful since Kyouko has a friendly rapport with her.

As much as her presence might make things seem to lean on their friendship the flipside of that is that, of all of us, Sayaka is the only one besides ourselves who's really met Kyouko in this timeline. Even if it's mostly in a professional capacity the fact of the matter is that we ourselves are pretty biased both towards Mami and towards looking at our friends through rose colored lenses and even beyond that we can be... more than a little blind at times.Besides which, she should be there for her waifu when she opens her heart up.

Somewhat tangentially, looking back, we've told Sayaka about the meeting, but we haven't invited her. And if Homura of all people can see the use in doing so I think that we should too.

I think you're stuck in the old paradigm with your first question here: Why do you think we Homura got here at the usual time? Or even any sooner than we did at all, really? Would she still have confronted Mami If Madokami is Feathers is splicing time then the moment we appeared could well have been the moment it all began, or even the moment the timeline stitching finished.

After all Madoka wished to fix everything. In the timeline where we wished to fix everything we got local reality editing. Madoka made the same wish, but has rather more potential than we do.

As to the rest, our poor health, Sayaka and Other Gucas failing to muck with our soul could be taken as an indication that we are imbued with some portion of Walrpurgisnacht's Helplessness. It could just be

Anyways, points adjancent to the issue of timeline editing:
  • Sasa should have contracted long ago. She has not
  • The events of Our Benefactor, especially the odd note that Sayaka's parents were sleeping at an unusual time
  • Coobie checking up on stuff very early on. Perhaps he caught something.
  • If Madokami/Kriemhild Gretchen spliced time, she probably exists in this universe as a result of that. What does that mean for Coobie's quota and resultant behavior?
  • We exist in this timeline, and may be Walpurgisnacht, but Walpurgisnacht is also yet to come. Are we alone in being like that?
  • What's up with those potentials coobie doesn't ever seem to contract?
There's probably more, but just that off the top of my head.

This doesn't preclude Madokami just choosing the timeline she likes the most or creating it from scratch, without splicing anything and then sending Sabrina into it somewhere down the line in what she considers the most opportune moment.

I think that assuming we have arrived at the exact moment of the new timeline's creation is kinda, I dunno, narcissistic? Also, why doesn't Homura remember some things, but remembers others when it'd have made sense for her either not to remember anything or everything?

We 'd have toyed with nuclear synthesis and literally nuked the city. It had nothing to do with Wish itself, except for creating the possibility to do it in the first place by enabling us to manipulate reality on subatomic levels.

We still could do it, only with Grief, but why would we? So we don't.

... I can't wait until Sayaka puts two and two together and accuses us of being a teenage Witch.

Once sayaka learns about the time loops

She likely is going to ask about the previous itterations of herself from the rolled back timelines

And trying to tell her about octavia and the fact that homura has several copies of her seed is not going to be fun

Don't know if it's fanon or not, but Soul Gems and Grief Seeds may disappear from Homura's Shield each time she travels back in time.

Homura herself has stated that grief seeds persist when they're in her shield. But she doesn't use them out of their native timeline because Kyubey would notice if she has seeds that don't belong

She's also stated that she never, ever uses her friends seeds unless its a matter of life or death

... meaning when we perfect dewitching from griefseeds Sayaka can expect to get a couple of less than useful Imoutos.

We should make them wear different uniforms.
The Sayakas from other TLs can be Nurse Joys, and the Sayaclones from this one can be Officer Jennys.

The real problem is, how should we ship the surplus of Sayakas? I mean, one Sayaka equals one Kyouko, okay, but I somehow think Homura has more Octavias than Ophelias.

One to Kwijibo, one to Hitomi... one to Homura just to see the horror on her face? What to do with the rest of them?

... I'm not going to suggest a Highlander Death Tourney, but...

(I mean it's not like mere decapitation would kill them.)

we could always just do what shoujo does

Sayakanact,
If madoka is able to merge with herselves from other timelines and gain the sum of all their powers and memories then why can't Sayaka

Kyoko can clone herself too once she starts working through her trauma.

I'm not ready to move on from the Grievous Menace into Attack of the Sayaklones. Pretty sure Revenge of the Incubators would completely screw us over.

What if the moment we dewitch any of the alt!Sayaka, our Sayaka either gets the memories of past her, which would result in Sayaka getting mad at alternate her and/or realise her gay for Kyouko. Orrrrr, our Sayaka gets overwritten by past loop Sayaka, Homura style. Which would be... Bad.

I feel like there might be a solution involving crystallography, namely arranging Sayakas Soul Gem and Grief Seeds into a cubical syngony and then hitting them all with Hope until they meld together into one giant Mega-Sayaka with all their memories and abilities combined...
