The real concern is Homura noticing that this worked, and then turning her attention to the Kaname household... :V

The same orientation, opening pointed towards her wrist.
Hmmm... So, three possibilities.

1: This is a replacement for the canon final loop in some way. Unlikely, but worth mentioning for completeness sake.
2: There's some odd number of intervening loops that happen and memory manipulation (Hi Homucifer!) to forget them also happened.
3: As Kai says, this is the last loop, or at least it wasn't by Homura's power that things went back.

#3 would fit with coobie's actions early in the quest, if there were... errors, lets say, in the way things were reshuffled back. It also fits with Feathers' known powerset: "Splicing" history. To use Oriko's terms for it.

Or we could not poke the time bear, quietly note this, and move on.
Yeah let's -- well, for the moment let's quietly note this and move on.

Deal with Kyouko first.

Okay, waiting for the appropriate moment may be one thing but I have to raise gripes with "not poke the time bear" because that kinda implies not looking into it at all.

WE AREN'T MISSING SHIT, AURA, TWO PLUS TWO EQUALS FOUR.

[] Ask Homura if she remembers actually turning her shield to go back in time at the end of last loop.

It fits too well. And the implications are just, uh.

And and and, I mean, let's be real here: isn't this exactly the kind of thing Firn would do?

(To be clear: the point here is, "Madoka's wish sent Homura back in time this last go-around, rather than Homura sending herself back).

I mean unless I'm being dumb :p

OH MY FUCKING GOD IF HOMRUA DIDN'T TURN HER SHIELD WHAT IF SHE ACTUALLY DID FUCKING GET DEWITCHED FUCKING CHRIST

Yeah, uh, I'm like 99% sure it's Homu-safe to poke at this. We should get on it like first thing tomorrow morning IC IMO, although I'm not the most on-ball atm I admit. The implications of this are too big to not investigate ASAP.

No worries, there's zero chance of that. Not that I feel able to contribute in this regard.
Eh, don't worry about your competence too much. Speaking from my own experience in this quest, what matters most isn't whether you're right or wrong at any given moment, it's that you can contribute a perspective. If you say enough things and are listened to, at least some of them will be very, very right and people will have their own following thoughts. The rest is simple practice.

@The Phoenixian Yes, yes, no need to fear that I'll inappropriately censor myself :p I'm not intimidated by PMMM lore, just not quite as familiar with it as some present.

Anyway, I do note that current votes are somewhat scattered as to... everything. To aid in the unification, I'll reiterate that Sayaka is already in the loop that we're doing this. Keeping her in the loop could be as simple as telling her that yep, we're doing it (and don't let Kyuubey bite, according to @Raiseth). Is there a concrete reason to do more?

With regards to handling Kyouko, I'm happy to break for a vote if Mami has any real trouble with Kyouko, as opposed to trying to draw up contingencies. If someone would like to mention specific contingencies worth writing in options for, I might be easily persuaded, but for now I advocate "hands off and break for vote if something happens that Mami doesn't handle on her own".

OK, so I just went through the entire omake list on the front page, and I can't find this one omake I'm looking for. It's written from Homura's perspective.

In it, Mami dies and Sabrina witches out, but not before having one last conversation with Homura, theorizing that the entire loop was meant to give Homura time to relax and recover. Then it keeps going, with Rebellion happening and ends finally with Homura looking at a Clara doll that is nice to her while reminiscing about Sabrina.

Can anyone find it?

I remember reading that, but not on this thread.

Regarding letting Sayaka know about the meeting...do we have her phone number?

Because a text message is less likely to be noticed by Kyuubey than a telepathy call.

And we don't want Kyuubey to catch wind of either of the opportunities that it can exploit, the meeting or Sayaka potentially being alone.

point of order with idea two, there is also the possibility that something went off with the number of loops prior to the canon final loop, instead of between then and now. like for completeness' sake, though it wouldn't necessarily be in keeping with everything sprawling off the rails only after Madoka's last wish, it's still possible that there was an extra or lesser number of loops prior to the last one that's changing the numbers. for all we know the events of *that* mysterious loop provided the tiny push that led Madoka to make the wish-that-wasn't-the-canon-final-wish last loop. there doesn't strictly need to be any memory weirdness or anything more conspiratorial than an extra or missed loop prior to the last one being the first innocuous butterfly that spawned all this.

... that being said it feels like it would be a bit off-brand for it to be that innocuous. nothing in Sabrina's life has been that innocuous, possibly *including* our grief hair extensions that will grow to mimic the style of god.
