[X] So your plan is that if Kyouko goes through with agreeing to this meeting, you're going to fully explain your understanding of why the fight happened to Mami -- you've avoided doing so until it was necessary because bringing up their estrangement hurts Mami -- and do your utmost to make sure that the topic of the fight is utterly obsolete. At that point, so long as Kyouko doesn't deliberately try to pick a fight, that's all you'd need to do.
I... kinda figured most of the point of Kyoko and Mami meeting up was so they could hash things out with each other and have this very chat face-to-face so each of them could hear the explanations directly from the horse's mouth. Having Sabrina essentially deliver everything second-hand separately to Mami and Kyoko feels a bit off.

Saying "Mami could've killed you before if she really wanted you dead" is also the kind of thing that might sting the pride of someone as proud of their fighting skills as Kyoko. Though I suppose since Kyoko's already talking about Mami killing her she might not be particularly offended, if it wasn't meant to be exaggeration, which is what it sounded like to me.

Even if it might well be true that Mami could beat her 1-on-1.

[] You know that if things had gotten bad enough that Mami had actually wanted to kill Kyouko, she would be dead, and then Mami would be too shortly afterwards, because it would kill her to do that to a friend.

[] If Mami wanted to kill you, you'd already be dead

You know, speaking of Homura... she does.

Except, side effects include permanent memory loss and de-aging for everyone except Homura.
And considering that there's no way of guaranteeing that we'd be able to go back with her...yeah, that option's probably off the table. Without us, she'd just go back to The Definition of Insanity as she tries to prevent Madoka's death/contracting.

In line with Godwinson's request to look over the last Kyouko discussion, I've found the tail end of the conversation, which I've quoted for the interested:
"So the thing is," you say. "I'm pretty sure that you don't know this, but if you were to just... show up on Mami's doorstep tomorrow and say absolutely nothing at all, the reception you'd get from Mami would be this: repeated, tearful apologies, mixed with offers of food, friendship, and housing."

"Bullshit," Kyouko snaps. Burning eyes snap to yours.

You meet her gaze calmly, despite the danger smoldering in her look. You're not backing down over this. Kyouko invited the topic. Kyouko knowingly invited the topic. It's important to you and Kyouko - and it's important to Mami. You need to get through to her, and something tells you this is one of very, very few chances you'll ever get.

"Do you know why you ended up fighting?" you ask. You hold your hand out, gesturing at her with the outstretched palm. "She doesn't have a problem with you. Mami's problem is that until very recently, literally everyone in her life eventually abandoned her or abused her trust."

You laugh, and if there's bitterness in it, well, it's just you and Kyouko - who opens her mouth to say something, but you cut her off with a slice of your hand through the air. Her fist clenches, jaw setting hard, but you are not backing down. Because she's getting annoyed, she's getting angry, but that's her defense mechanism.

"You're not special," you say with a razor-sharp smile. "At one point, I accidentally convinced her I was breaking ties with her, and promptly ended up in a ribbon cocoon. And yet, the only thing I've ever heard from Mami on the topic is how much she regrets what she'd done that night."

"Bullshit!" Kyouko snarls, before softening her voice and darting a look towards the bathroom door, body taut with tension. She turns a blazing look on you. "She tried to kill me!"

You laugh in her face.

"If she wanted to hit you, she would have," you say, folding your arms. "No. She didn't."

Kyouko rears back as if struck, eyes burning and fingers twitching.

"You might've fought," you say. "But believe you me. She felt horrible for it, and she holds the pain still. Close to her heart."

And you smile again, wry and thin as you stand and start to pace slowly around the room, more out of having an outlet for your nervous energy than anything. It also puts you a bit out of immediate stabbing range. Kyouko's gaze tracks your motion as you brush your fingers over the television, over the curtains at the windows.

"You say I'm a saint or something," you say. "Forgive everyone, everyone deserves redemption no matter who they are. And that's... eh. There are some people..." You shake your head, trying not to think about the Soul Gem you're holding locked in Grief. Rionna. "But no. The relevant fact of the matter is this: you, Kyouko, are not unforgivable. There's literally one person who has a problem with you. And that's you."

So I'll vote

[X] Godwinson

because I'm sure not voting to repeat this argument again.

[X] "Did you know that Mami's greatest fear is being all alone in the world?"
-[X] "She misses you terribly. She always has."
--[X] "Just stand back and watch as she stands there trying not to A: break down sobbing because you are there, and B: hug you till your ribs crack."

My issue with Godwinson's vote to me is that it seems... to controlling I think that might push Kyouko away. Mami thinks Kyouko hates her and Kyouko thinks Mami can/will never forgive her.

Rather than having Sabrina explain she's going to do this and that and how she KNOWS why the fight occurred, just tell [in a fashion] Kyouko she's being silly if she thinks Mami is just going to shoot her in cold blood.

Kyouko is already up for meeting Mami - she just thinks Mami's going to shoot her for being as horriable as her father.

Edit: Short version - We don't need to do alot here. We don't need to overthink this.

Problem with your idea is that it's telling Kyouko what Mami fears most, which is kind of a breach of trust. And we don't want to hurt the Mumi like that.

Probably smarter to start with a wisecrack, then recount our experiences with how many people have actually managed to piss Mami off.

[X] "Kill you? Are you sure we're talking about the same Mami Tomoe?"
-[X] "In the time I've known Mami, I could count the number of people who have managed to actually piss her off on my fingers."
--[X] "And I could cut off my hands and still have enough fingers left to count how many people have pushed her far enough to actually murder them, if you get what I mean."
---[X] "Only risk to you seeing Mami again is her hugs breaking some of your ribs."

Now I believe you are misunderstanding with a recent example.

Masami was still mad at Mami and we tried to be very specific in the explanation, but she rejected it, I think telling her that Mami fears being alone is something that can show that she is not a perfect statue as she wanted to show her.

We need to show that Mami is human too and has fears and dreams like any other girl and of course we're talking to Kyoko, so @Godwinson vote is basically pointless, after all it's KYOKO we're talking about

Well, Kyouko can be dumb about the relationship stuff as much as any human being, and she can also be surprisingly perceptive

Which problem exactly do you have with Muramasa Koko?
She's the one who came up with the revelation to live a life without regrets she told Madoka, just before trying to save Oktavia.

Kinda makes me want to repeat her words back at her, but that might be, eh.

Edit: that whole episode leaves a bitter aftertaste in my mouth, anyway.

Homura is acting OOC ( on second thought, this thought paralysis is pretty much IC for her, which is really, really sad ) just for the sake of getting herself fucked.
1) Doesn't try to convince Kyouko harder
2) Doesn't try to help her and make sure she survives
3) Doesn't go with them into a Witch Barrier to fucking protect Madoka what the fuck Momura what the fuck
She just sits there and... drinks tea with the Incubator, asking him to explain exactly how he fucked her over this time.

Man, this is pretty much the concrete proof that no matter what Homura thinks, she's Sabrina's Mom alright. Brina's Mad Social Skillz must have come from somewhere, after all.
