rebellion can basically be summed up as
"I fucked up big time" the kyubey story
"I fucked up big time" the kyubey story
That's a very valid point.
[x] Wind down for the evening.
-[x] Make sure Mami knows not to discuss Homura's past without privacy measures. You want QB to know as little about this as possible.
-[x] Along with Mami, extend Homura an open invitation to come talk to us - talk to her friends - whenever she wants.
-[x] When we beat Walpurgisnacht, together, we'll throw Homura a bigger party than she's ever dreamed of.
-[x] Ask Homura if she wants to go to the mall with you and Mami on the weekend - you want to set up a bank account and buy some stuff, so ypu could go have fun together.
[x] After Homura leaves, hug Mami lots. You're not leaving.
-[x] Apologize for not telling her earlier.
-[x] Offer to make a privacy field and answer any additional questions Mami has.
-[x] Propose letting Homura sleep over tomorrow.
[x] If time permits, vote in abeyance. Otherwise, just relax and leave it for the morning.
E: Shuffled it around so Homura knows we're taking this seriously.

Massive plans are very Sabrina, but before that I feel like we're not acknowledging what a huge step opening up like this is for Homura. This deserves hugs and some manner of verbal positive reinforcement.
One thing to ask here: Does Homura know we're going to Fukushima tomorrow, and will she want to plan around that before she leaves for the night?
I half-remember that there was something regarding that affair that she'd want to be involved in, though it may have just been that she has Rionna's body.
I do like a lot of your suggestions, but I'm not sure about spending 15 minutes in a trance to make a privacy sphere unless we actually need to? Although, we do know of the enchanted grief method, which lets us stay conscious...
-[x] If Mami has any questions about the situation, provide privacy and answer them.
Pfft. Welp.
Fixing.
[x] Keep comforting Homura as you wind down for the evening.
-[x] She can come to you and Mami -to her friends- whenever she wants, to talk about whatever she wants. We'll keep her secrets.
[x] Before Homura leaves, inform her and Mami of your rough plans for the weekend.
-[x] You'll be heading to Fukushima tomorrow morning to check on Airi's condition.
-[x] Ask Homura if she wants to go to the mall with you and Mami Saturday - you want to set up a bank account and do some shopping, so you could go have fun together.
[x] After Homura leaves...
-[x] Thank Mami. Express your utter joy with how she helped Homura. She Made A Difference, tonight.
--[x] KISS HER. NOT ON THE CHEEK. KISS HER.
-[x] If Mami has any questions about the situation, provide privacy and answer them.
-[x] Propose inviting Homura to a sleepover tomorrow.
[x] Homework?
-[x] Otherwise, just relax, and leave the IRCs for morning.
[x] Kaizuki
I know you'll pick the right thing in the end, so you have my vote! And welcome back!
not only that we got a confirmation for the rebellion sequel last week!Damn straight.
Also, I don't know if this is widespread knowledge yet, but Magia Record has an English release now! ...My phone's barely big enough to hold it.![]()
-[x] Thank Mami. Express your utter joy with how she helped Homura. She Made A Difference, tonight.
Hmmm...
So, after showering on it, I do think this has meaningful differences with what I'm saying... But I'm not sure if it matters...
So here's the thing. Mami helped in two major ways. Tonight, she listened to Homura and accepted her. It was very helpful, but also very simple, and I think that if just that is presented to Mami, there'd be an element of "well, anyone could have done it."
And it's true. Sayaka could have listened to that and accepted Homura. We, uh, we've basically said as much, even IC.
But before that...
The second key point I was making with this was that it was through Mami's actions that Homura came to have someone she was willing to share her story with.
Because Homura? Didn't decide to share with Sayaka.
Fact is, she didn't decide to share with anyone but Mami...
And... While it's true that Mami accepting her is undoubtedly the most important part of the whole thing, it's also the case that getting Homura to be willing to share at all was the hard part. That's the part that is making me vote to kiss her over all of this. That after all this time in the loops, in spite of circumstances others would have taken issue with -- the blatant secrecy, etc -- Mami overcame (with some help, yes, but I'll remind you again that Homura ain't telling anyone else right now) Homura's unwillingness to share her story.
That?
That is so fucking helpful.
God I have to figure out how to tldr this... OH
TLDR: if Mami wasn't here, we wouldn't be seeing Homura sharing her past with someone else right now, we just wouldn't be seeing it at all. And THAT -- THAT is something worth kissing her over.
... But I'm not sure that ends up being accurately conveyed by the boiled down version... Although it's not like we only want to express thanks for [you accepted Homura] or [you got Homura to share this with you]. We want to express thanks for both, because the importance of the two together is what makes this such a big deal.
...
Damn.
Homura hasn't celebrated her birthday in 12 years.
And no one has ever thrown her a party. Ever.
No one has ever celebrated the fact that Homura was born.
Fucking goddammit I'm crying.
yeah, in a real way that's what has stuck with me the most and the most consistently ever since I made the connection that 100 loops of 46 days each makes just over twelve years...

Indeed. Good thing we are in a solid clinch right at this moment, so we should just do that!Massive plans are very Sabrina, but before that I feel like we're not acknowledging what a huge step opening up like this is for Homura. This deserves hugs and some manner of verbal positive reinforcement.
This would play to best ratings upon waking up? Since this is a capital V Victory, repeating the tale tomorrow for emphasis has got to be right. Please bring this back for the morning vote?TLDR: if Mami wasn't here, we wouldn't be seeing Homura sharing her past with someone else right now, we just wouldn't be seeing it at all. that's twelve whole years without a birthday, twelve years without Christmas or summer or anything. no celebrations or anything that's just for her, nothing to look forward too other than the possibility of saving Madoka.
she has almost spent more time replaying and going through the same hellish month and a half then she has existed outside of it. she likely barely remembers a time when it wasn't march or april
the most sobering thought is that homura very well might not know how to deal with simple things like the true and unhindered passage of time anymore
