Man, I'm not even going to quest that until my current one finishes, since I'm not too good at heavy duty writing.

While we're talking SCIENCE, I want to try and see if it's possible to grief-bend a witch's labyrinth out of her grief seed, without hatching the witch.

Potential pro: Separating a witch from her happy world should make her more like a real person?

Another pro: Again reinforcing a certain image, that apparently in our vicincity theres apparently a barrier with no witch inside. But were just a Magical girl, definitely.

Also, do you really think that taking a depressed-to-insanitiys beings tolerable surroundings away will make them better?

Living in their comfort zone is not good for them!

Thinking about it, Hildegard's alone in her seed. Since the grief Sabrina can bend is the same one the labyrinth's made out of, I guess Hildegard is without a labyrinth right now. We can't remove her from there unfortunately, but I wonder if we can make her hatch somehow.

The fact that we have a goal of changing the nature of the world means that, in some sense, it could be argued that we're trying to put the whole world in a barrier.

Science idea: See if we can create autonomous entities that totally are not familiars that can cleanse gems/seeds.

But Sabrina's barrier's only so big: a 100m radius, I think.

I can't tell how serious you all are and a lot of these things are bad ideas if done seriously.

I don't want Sabrina to suffer SCIENCE induced bad ends as they are possible.

But it won't be a barrier that creates a cheap survival horror setting, it'll be one that creates a world where megucas never have to fight each other for territory or turn into witches. There's a difference.

Actually, thiiiinking about it... A couple of days ago there was a (hopefully joking) idea of going to Sendai in a giant floating spheric grief fortress. Wouldn't that be a barrier?

Why not make a barrier that makes everyone happy? What could be wrong with that? And then we were gretchen.

And while we should be somewhat carefull with our Science, we dont want to go overboard with our caution and let that paralyze us. Our abilities offer infinite possibilities, and if we want to help the world without madokami gretchen or homucifer, we need to do it ourselves. Hell, given our abilities even witch out for superpowers may be a way to go, IF we can confirm what will happen and have a solid grip on witchsanity etc. Which were far away from but it may not be impossible. Dedolere is IIRC confirmed for potentially worldaltering, so theres a theoretical option.
Of course if witchdom with sanity proves to be impossible, we need other ways...

In short, dont go crazy risky, but dont do nothing either.
Maybe puttung it something like.... we should do Science, not SCIENCE.

Can we use Oriko there? Maybe just with something like "Is what im about to do going to destroy the world"? That she should be able to see even past disrupting properties we may have.

(And everyone will certainly approve of us doing things that require constantly asking this question seriously)^^

Well if we're trying to raise Oriko's blood pressure...

Dedolere being world-ending is a warning, not a how-to manual. :p
We raise her blood pressure every time we do anything. Might as well have some fun with it and eliminate some potential Bad Ends at the same time.

I feel like making ourselves a sane witch would be like trying to be the surgeon for our own brain transplant.

I'm not advocating actually becoming a witch, just going along with the already-pointed-out similarities between our activities and those of witches.

What was that one comic page showing how Mami about to witch out looked from the inside? With Candeloro telling her to make her own world where her friends can never leave her? We're trying to make the world into how we want it to be too, we're just doing it with the real world. Because we are so much more awesome than a witch.

That analogy stops working when people start considering self cloning.

Not self-cloning. Just... not-familiars. We need to come up with a better name for the concept, since they're definitely not familiars. Witches have familiars.

They can go around cleaning soul gems because we can't be everywhere at once. They'd be more analogous to Kyubey's bunnycat body, which surely he doesn't have only one active at a time (since he couldn't be everywhere at once either)... only not evil.
