Really I just don't understand what the problem is. Like, if you've already done it, and you find out, but you never actually noticed, then that means your life is functionally no different than before, except your get weapons and magic powers and a kickass costume.

Like I mean, really, you get magic fucking powers goddamn.
As long as one has a means of obviating the Witch problem, I can't help but agree.

Coobie, give me THE GAMER powers. (You little piece of shit.)

You are Tam Lin. You just became a magical girl.

As the light of your soul pulls out of your chest, a wash of green envelopes you. You find yourself standing, gasping, not quite sure what just happened, and clad in a simple white dress with streaks of emerald green rippling up its sides. Your legs are clad in white tights, green startrails spiraling up your legs. On your off arm is a green turtle shell, spikes coming out of its top. On the other is a blue turtle shell with wings. Your hands are clad in white gloves. Flexing them, you somehow realize that the green shell can project shields, and the blue shell fires Laser Beams.

You blink, and realize that a blue visor has crossed your vision, giving you read outs on your body's physical condition and the amount of magic you have available to you. A pipper in the center of your line of sight designates the reading point for a range finder.

Your feet have now been enclosed in green, polished metal boots that go halfway up your calves. Yet, despite their apparent size, as you lift them they feel weightless. Moments later you find yourself floating slightly, before drifting back to the ground. Antigravity? And, you realize as you examine them, Rocket-Boots as well.

You wished for THE GAMER powers. Well, do you like what you see?

You can always reach them by de-transforming.

Now there's a scary thought. Magical girls who transform into little girls, but are actually 20 or 30-something men otherwise.

Actually, that could be an interesting story. AU, or something, where magical boys and girls coexist, but most boys witch out quickly due to being unable to deal with the gender discontinuity and how it might be effecting them in real life. A few of them survive though, and one of them becomes a sensei at his middle school. He runs a club as a "support group" for the girls who contract at his school, and regularly joins them on witch hunts.

The story begins with the school's newest magical girl getting in way over her head with a particularly difficult witch. Senseiguca happens to be nearby and vectors in to help. Cue much "what the hell" after (s)he detransforms.

Crasian, I do believe that you have come up with a solid gold premise there. Have this image to help you along.
