Stats!

If you take a quick look at the quests page, and sort the threads by 'Replies', you'll see the PMAS thread is currently the second most largest!

At first place is Torror's "Warhammer Fantasy: Of The Mists", sitting at a huge advantage of 943 pages, and at third place is Moid's "SayakaQuest", with 413 pages!

Nothing against Torroar, but since his quest is currently at a semi-hiatus... *wink*

/derail
Fun fact: By view count, despite having almost twice the number of replies, Of The Mists only has about 150k more views than PMAS, having 680k views to PMAS's 530k. By the looks of things, PMAS will become the most viewed thread on the forum long before it surpasses of the mist in post count.

While we're talking SCIENCE, I want to try and see if it's possible to grief-bend a witch's labyrinth out of her grief seed, without hatching the witch.

Potential pro: Separating a witch from her happy world should make her more like a real person?

The problem with SCIENCE is that about half the things we can do with it would go extremely poorly with anyone were to find out about it. Anything that comes close to Kazumi should be right out, because the Kazumi's are batshit insane.

So we tell no one, except Homura.

Edit: Actually, Telling Mami should be okay, since she's emotionally dependent on us.

Honestly, this is really bothering me: If a magical girl is only the rock containing her soul commanding a meat puppet, shouldn't it be possible to change the meat puppet?
Should be possible. There's a pair of girls that shared a body in Kazumi Magica. I think Niko Kanna had spare(s) as well but that might just be her "rebuilding and reforming" ability.
I don't remember exactly where I've seen it, but I'm fairly certain it's stated somewhere that soul gems can puppet any body, not just their own. So, yes, it's totally possible for a meguca who lost their body to pop over to the morgue and a get themselves a new one.

Again, Kazumi levels of dear god why there.

I feel that sense should take precedent over the SCIENCE!!11!! boners here. And I'm pretty sure some of that stuff would give Homura pause.

The issue is more in the explaining than the doing. I mostly just want to see if they left any research notes. Might be some useful information. Just because they were insane and did terrible things in the name of SCIENCE doesn't mean their data is useless.

We have to try this.

Edit: ...because it would be pretty easy to test. Not just because we could yell "It's Alive!" in a proper context.

Which definitely does not help with the 'I'm Undead/Zombie controlled by a piece of rock' connotations.

Well, if we manage to restore Hildegarde back to sanity we are going to have to find her a body somehow, and a morgue is as good a place as any to pick one up. I mean, it's not like the original owners are using it anymore. :V

I think that was in Kazumi.

Also, I think it has to be a meguca body, not just any body from the morgue.

We could timeshare, though. Trade off 12 hours at a time, spending the other half of the day sleeping.

Wait, what if we TALK to the witches?

I mean, in their grief seed form. Even give them cake or something.

Stick the grief seeds in cake.

Really I just don't understand what the problem is. Like, if you've already done it, and you find out, but you never actually noticed, then that means your life is functionally no different than before, except your get weapons and magic powers and a kickass costume.

Like I mean, really, you get magic fucking powers goddamn.

[actual thought process]
Sayaka, you are an immortal Lich! As long as the soul gem is intact, you are immortal. And unlike an actual lich, you still get to keep all your fleshy bits, so no one will even notice anything different unless you purposefully tell them about it. Hell, you yourself didn't notice anything different until Madoka threw it off a bridge! And this is on top of all the magic and stuff you get as part of being a meguca. Why the hell are you reacting like this?

Incubator brothers brofist!

Beyond the fact that you're a meat puppet of sorts, having one's soul coalesced into a tangible trinket that can be taken sounds like a bad deal to me.
