"We haven't met all of you?" Akemi asks.
"You haven't met all of me, but that's beside the point."
doesn't list gaelic yet - do we have a speaker around?
My brother learned some while studying at Trinity. I wouldn't call him fluent, but there's a good chance Rionna isn't either. I could nag him into making an account if we want?
She talks like she already knows that we're expecting her.
Another time traveler!

So how are we gonna handle working with Rionna? And it should be good to remember that she was likely the person who killed Oriko in a few of her visions if I recall correctly. Woman with blonde hair and green eyes in the currentvtime frame was how Oriko described said person I believe, so it would be good to be careful handling that interaction since we have no idea what the lead up to that was.
Yeah, but like half the people we know were predicted to potentially kill Oriko in a possible future.

Let's not be overly paranoid? We are *very* hard to kill, even alone. Mami would probably feel slighted if we didn't bring her, let's let Homura know what's happening but maybe not ask her to do anything? Or if she does decide to set up a sniper nest, maybe let Rionna know of it beforehand as a gesture of trust?

We should treat this as a diplomatic affair first and foremost, research opportunity second, threat a distant third unless and until evidence suggests that those priorities need to be rearranged.

Hmm. Probably the best way of handling this is to meet up with her with Mami, while keeping Homura and Sayaka on the line with telepathy.

On the off chance that something does happen, Homura can be there with Sayaka's help nigh-instantly.

While this is normally true, a soulguca is an outside-context-problem that we have no real defenses again. I think just having the speckled enchantments would suffice to shield our gem and mind would suffice, however.

I just said...

I think we should meet up with her somewhere (alone), then escort her to where we actually want to have a discussion with her. It's a show of hospitality, and lets us get a read on her before we expose anyone else to her. Whatever protections we want to put on ourselves we can play off as a standard precaution, provided they aren't over-the-top.

Also, you can add C# and Java to the list of languages known

Witness as this meeting is in some way incredibly anticlimactic as compared to the amount of crisis preparedness it's causing us, eh? But yeah, huh, polite and diplomatic with Homura and Sayaka on the telepathy line seems like a good way to go, regardless of the rest of our plans. Keep them updated on our location and... if we're wanting to be paranoid-cautious without immediately conspicuous overkill, give them a shortlist of signal words for if shit hits the fan? Telepathy might be fast, but things can go to heck fast too, particularly if soulguca means we can be insta-gemmed or our bluetooth cut or some other thing that can take us out of the picture almost instantly. A set of single words we can blast for help even if we're cut off half a second later to signal the difference between "kill order, now" and "I fucked up, keep diplomacy if possible" and "I'm brainjacked" and "she's brainjacked" and variations thereupon might be good to have, as much for our future plans as for this particular meeting. And if that's the paranoia speaking, well, is it really paranoia if they're actually out to get you and you're planning a global meguca empire in semi-opposition to magical space Mephistopheles?

Also, is the language list in the Day Planner? Doesn't look like it, but that seems like a place it should probably have a copy. Where's the most updated list at the moment?

If there's any brakes on my paranoia train, they're the fact Nadia didn't give us any reasons to suspect Riona. But still, taking precautions is a smart thing.

I don't have much to contribute to votes right now. RA's vote needs refining but looks to be on the right path.

One thing I would like to try is making that soul protection enchantment, since we got enchanted Grief already (or just try with enchanted grief hax), but I know it probably won't work...

[] Multitask conversations.

[] Telepathy Mami, Homura, Sayaka: Tell them about Riona.
-[] Propose meeting her with Mami, outside. Ask for suggestions for meeting place.
-[] If Homura wants to come, ask her for overwatch.
-[] Ask Sayaka (and Homura if she's not coming) to stay on telepathy line.

[] Akemi, Noriko: Let them know something's come up. It was nice having them over. Invite them to hang out any time.

[] Oriko, Kirika: Let them know about Riona.

[] Riona:
-[] Act somewhat surprised. Answer in english.
-[:V] Introduce yourself, wield politeness as a sword warhammer, ask if she wanted to talk with Mami, instead.

How did she get our telepathy? I thought Kyubey didn't do that.
...wait, how'd she do that? I thought you had to have met somebody to telepathy them. Did Nadia connect her? Is this some soul power of hers? Or has she been watching us?
Doesn't a meguca need to contact both other two meguca at once in order to put them in contact? :/

Riona does match the description.

We also killed Oriko on a few of her visions. Safety precautions are a given, but it would be best to assume she had the best of intentions until proven otherwise.

Riona: "I don't know who this Oriko is, but it sounds pretty aggravating. Murderously so."

Oriko: *Hides a pleased smile*

Riona sure seems direct. I also wonder about her asking if she's talking to Sabrina. Normally you'd know who you're contacting via telepathy. Maybe it's really part of her soul powers that let her sense magical girls and establish her own connection with them.

I get the feeling we're being a tad bit more paranoid than is necessary. Yes, Riona has scary powers with effects we can only guess at, but she had the good grace to contact us. Since most people think she ad-hoced to us without other magical girls as a proxy she obviously already has a connection to us/our soul and as such could have voodooed us into submition without being nearly that nice. (Maybe, we don't know if her powers have a "condition" she needs to activate them, such as a form of consent. Very doubtful, since wish magic doesn't generally work like that and she's known for having terrifying powers.) I doubt she has malicious intent, at least not immediately. I think telling Homura and Sayaka and giving a code word for "time stop, get us out of dodge" should suffice if things go pear-shaped.

The point that she doesn't actually know for certain that she's contacted us is an interesting one, especially since she never actually got introduced to us.

Hm. Maybe she's used her magic to suborn a QB node as a pet?

Maybe she passed by Ishinomaki and hacked the connection between one of their group and us... if that makes sense with however telepathy works. Whatever her method, it seems unlikely for it to mean anything about her trustworthyness, so it's just a curiosity for now. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

At any rate, I don't think having Homumom on overwatch is paranoid, given the mysterious deaths Oriko foresaw, and how well Riona fits the killer's part into them. I guess it'd be up to Homu whether she wants to overwatch or just stay in line, anyway. Only difference if she's watching is that she can see everything as it happens, hopefully out of range of any influence Riona's powers may have.

We could probably ask Sayaka to blast us with a bit of antimagic after this, would that be acceptable paranoia?
