I'm picturing Homura having to wait like a kilometer away and then pause time every ten seconds, get on her motorbike and drive in, check everything is ok and then drive out and unpause time.

Edit: Also, if we really need someone whos soul can't be sensed we might want to go fo Sayakas clones, since their "soul gems" are sort of nonstandard.

Yeaah, that's what I'm worried about. Mami can easily cover half of Asunaro with her Ribbons.

I dunno what range Rionna has with her abilities, but I'm going to bet on "comparable to Mami's" just to be on the safe side.

Under these circumstances, we might be better off with openly acknowledging we have a lookout on our conversation.

Or gamble on Rionna not being aware of Homura's capabilities to reach our position in no time at all if things go south.

Either way, I feel like it's going to make things more complicated.
 
I'm OK with ask Homu to sniper watch. I mean, maybe she'll do it without prompting. :p

Not sure whether to be honest with Riona about sniper watch or not. But I guess if she notices, things could go sour if we don't tell her about Homura.

Hm. I guess the best way to go about it would be to frame it lightly? Like, "oh yeah, one of our friends is watching over us, she's such a mother hen, don't mind her"?

With Homura's response time of instant, does she need to be physically present to provide overwatch? Keep her connected via telepathy, if something happens she'll be be there before we can blink.

Maybe inform O&K that soulguca has arrived. We do want Riona to take a look at Oriko at some point.

Putting Homu on sniper watch and letting Riona know about it, in the opposite of a threatening manner, would be best, as far as precautions go, I think.

Hmmm... if she's not good with social, we can probably convince her it's customary for people meeting us to share hugs. :thonk:

I mean, actually, aren't witchbombs possibly an important part of what we might want to discuss with Riona? I think we'll need to have a private chat with her, but agh, I guess maybe after introductions and after we figure she's trustworthy? Just make sure to hug Mami a lot first.

Honestly I think the overwatch thing is kinda overkill. Be friendly Sabrina. Riona was already accomodating enough to let us know she's here.

I though of not having Mami along, but come on. It's Mami, and we're meeting someone with daaaaangerous powers. I think not having Mami along until we can tell Riona's trustworthy would be kind of insulting to Mami.

We can totally ask if she'd be OK with us meeting Riona alone, but even if she agrees, I'm not certain she'll like it. Also, Mitakihara is her territoty first; Riona might be unsocial enough to not have called ahead and to not know or care to contact Mami first, but Mami... she should be there, you know?

I don't speak Gaelic, but now she also speaks fluent Norwegian, in case THAT will ever be relevant.

And hello everybody. I survived 3000 pages but then decided to switch to the story thread, it took several months to get through @_@
At least I've gotten a solid look into how things work around here, hopefully I'll be some help down the road.

As for security... This is tricky. Dangerous to bring Mami, but it's not easy to tell her she shouldn't come, either. Same for Sayaka, if less so. And we don't know if we can trust Riona to keep away from The dangerous topics, if we ask. If this goes poorly, that just becomes a weapon for her, or at least a threat.

It's almost certainly completely irrelevant, but I'm (slowly, poorly) learning toki pona, if that's worth adding to the langlist.

So how are we gonna handle working with Rionna? And it should be good to remember that she was likely the person who killed Oriko in a few of her visions if I recall correctly. Woman with blonde hair and green eyes in the currentvtime frame was how Oriko described said person I believe, so it would be good to be careful handling that interaction since we have no idea what the lead up to that was.

If Sabrina wants to be paranoid, she could ask Homura to make them on timestop.

Then again soulguca may notice and felt insulted, which would be bad if she does not longer want to help us. Though that's better than someone dying, right?
