"Big sis was really surprised at how much Miss Sayaka has improved!" Yuma tells you. "She wants to know what you're feeding her. Can Yuma have some?"
That was just too cute.

But really, it's really great seeing how Sayaka has impressed both Homura and Kyouko. The benefits of a healthy mindspace, constructive feedback, and an objective to really focus into. part of a balanced breakfast

Just reread that section to double check - we didn't.

E: Ninjas!
For some reason, I etched it into my mind that we didn't even mention Clear Seeds that time, because they were grieving and we wanted to wait on it. :V

Also, her powers are OP as fuck. :V
And yet she gets beaten up by Kyouko and Kyouko's little sister.

This should help Sayaka. She's realizing she's gonna be OP, yet even the little kid can kick her ass right now.

Akemi's girlfriend has the power to be two people at once? Lucky, indeed!

So first things to bring up, Clear Seed and Sayaka copying their powers if they'll allow it?
I'm cool with it, but we'll need to include the caveat that the Clear Seed will have to wait until we have another Grief Seed to make one with. Our supply is getting rather low.

Mami should have Seeds... Also, maybe this can be their first assignment.

"Akemi, Noriko, I need time to cuddle my Mami, so you two will have to go out there and find a Witch we can use to make you a Clear Seed! Then call me and I'll see if I can contain and destroy the Witch from outside the Barrier... just need to make sure to catch all the familiars before they escape... and make sure to not hurt anybody trapped inside... just make a huge Grief dome...? Wait, where's our guests?"

"They already left to search for a Witch, but they left this Seed they had, asking you to clear it before they're back. Also, I too the liberty to ask them about Sayaka copying their powers."

"Uh. Glad to have you."

*Cuddles*

Oh, btw, I don't think we gave Sayaka the Grief Seed from earlier. Only bird seeds. :p

We should remember to give it to her.

Not a funny joke.

A witch killed their longtime friend, and their immediate reason to us suggesting they help hunt witches strongly implies that they've associated that trauma with the act of witch hunting.
Nyegh.

We should see about Akemi and Noriko helping new refugees settle in. You know what that means? We need to introduce them to Hitomi.

Test one for the ex-Shiogama girls: How will they react to the Shizuki heiress? Will they take her at face value, or recognize the dangerous Yazuka heiress for what she is? Will they feel fear, or not? If they do, will they show it?

:V

"Oh," Mami says, and smiles. "Alright, then. Is everything still warm?"

"Yup," you say, as you guiltily flail around with your Grief, trying to completely muffle the sound of the working microwave. Luckily, you succeed. You wait patiently as they take the elevator, and wait as they walk down the corridor looking for your apartment. And then-

Hora!

(( Sorry, Firnagzen, couldn't resist. ))

Much feelings, so Waff.

Somehow, Sayaka getting smacked on her head and liberated of candy she had intended to use as a bribe is the funniest thing, even though it happened offscreen. Makes me almost regret not going with her to see Koko's and Seykuu's magnificent performance... almost.

By the way, what's up with...

Haruhi's literature club (officially): An info alien, a time traveller, an esper, possibly God, Kyon.

Doki Doki Literature Club: Doki Doki Literature Club.

Now this book club Noriko, Akemi and Misato were part of: Literally meguca.

[] Tentatively have Akemi and Noriko help you sort out refugees. You'll have to introduce them to Hitomi... and everyone else why you're at it.
[] Bop yourself on the head for forgetting:
-[] Offer Clear Seed. Standard disclaimer.
-[Q] Explain Sayaka.
--[Q] How do I being to explain Miki Sayaka?
--[Q] One time, she struck us with lightning. It was awesome.
--[Q] I hear she's best friends with God.
--[Q] ... And is gonna become a God herself over time.
-[] Ask about Sayaka copying their powers?

Wait a minute. Was that... was that manipulation? Let's look at the sequence of events.

We assure them we want nothing from them, but hint about something big which they stew on over a fairly luxurious dinner.

We hit them with knowledge of Walpurgisnacht. But it's okay, they don't have to fight!

Oh and there might be maybe some extra roommates coming in, can they deal with that? (Contrasting to a city-killing witch, yep, they certainly can)

Also, we don't have time to hunt Witches... But it's okay! We don't want you to fight them, but could you at least locate them and let us know about it?

And again, of course they agree.

I mean, is it just me, or was that entire conversation very bait-and-switchy from their perspective? Leading with big things Sabrina could have asked them to do, but she's nice, so she didn't, so could you do some small things instead? It feels kinda... really manipulative.

So I don't know how strong Saito's luck powers are, but just like with Sayaka, I reckon they're quite a lot better in this world, than they would've been in one in which Sabrina didn't exist.

Sayaka: Would probably have witched out by now. Instead, she's becoming God of Justice.

Saito: Good luck has limits. Here? Just needed to point us towards them. :p

The circumstances is what they are. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Maybe a wordsmith would have phrased things in a way that would somehow sound less manipulative, but I'm no wordsmith. :p

If we are moving into Clear Seed deployment, time to iterate the user's manual?

If at all possible, let's teach them to feed just a bi of happiness enchantment to their Clear Seed each day. Explain it away as a ritual that "maintains the balance." We get two things:

First, we have cleverly assigned them a five minute period of positive thinking. They need to select positive things in life, focusing on some is actually pro level.

Second, they will be helping our experiments.

To enable this, we need to find out if they have even heard of enchantment.

[] Show them a map of the city. Narrate as we do. Mention the possibility of double dating touring with them a bit.

Indicate that we value their support efforts, and expect that they will spend time on peaceable pursuits. Traditional Magical Girl stuff is helpful as well - someday we will want actual community relations.

[] Realize Noriko and Akemi want to be protected, rather than fight.

They are normal people, having a normal response to loss. Too bad we gave them a cold feeling by mentioning witches.

[] Find out if they have homes in Shiogama, or not.

We MUST ask if there is any family connection left in their lives. Expect the worst, but allow for the best. Let's try to focus on social positives for now.
Harder without backup from mental health specialists.

[] This week, we want you to spend each day meeting the rest of our friends.

They need to figure out Mitakihara if they will be helping.

[] Ask ex-literature club to become our Prophets, and compile the holy Book of Mami's Teachings.

You know, asking them to make a diary isn't bad, if we do it right?

Uh, how did you want this to go? What would make it all nice in your view?

@Onmur, how good is your explosive girl at enchanting?
Terrible. :p

Enchanting comes with practice, and explosive guca is lucky to not have witched yet, due to needing to heal up a lot after fights.

She's good at healing, though! (Though not as good as Homura).

She's a guca that needs a partner/team with synergetic abilities. Put her with a healer and she becomes OP, at least as far as Witch killing goes. Not that she'd get herself meguca friends, because self steem issues.

I'm pretty sure Ishinomaki will have changed their mind by the next time we drop in on them, especially when they hear that Sendai already has one.
I wonder how we're gonna get Inoue Yuuki to keep helping us, given how useful her power is, we might need her help to help sort out many, many gucas in the future.

Specially since we're giving them a Clear Seed for free as soon as they accept it.

Since she's a gamer, we could maybe work to make some super neat games she'd like to play? :V

I think we should straight up discuss that with her. We want to retain her services, can't really pay in grief seeds (beyond the standing offer of an unconditional clear seed), and while we can pay in cash, hacking powers are very conducive to aquiring arbitrary amounts of money.

So, what would she accept from us in exchange for her services? We're mostly willing to trade favors, as long as the favor doesn't hurt magical girls. Does she want us to have a standing defensive pact covering them?

There's also the fact we kind really want her, specifically her, for her powers. :/

Not that we wouldn't want to help her just for being meguca, but I feel we need to be careful about this.

Maybe we should hang out.

Amusingly enough, having two bodies at once is NOT especially useful when compared to most other MG powers. But Noriko is skilled enough to make it into something pretty damn impressive in combat.

Kind of like how Archer has shitty stats but uses a pair of swords, an ingenious (but risky) sword style, and sheer skill to hold his own far above his weight class in melee.

And it's a shame we couldn't copy Misato's power, because she was basically Utsuho Reiuji (from Touhou).
