Hmmm... In the end, we don't know what difference there is between Aurora and Hildegarde, regarding Aurora being more active.

Maybe we should take a good look at Hildegarde to check whether she's still 'quiescent'?

"... So that's what's up regarding de-Witching research. At least on my side, I should check with Niko soon. Wanna try?"

Homura blinks, taken aback. Sabrina presents the toucan Seed towards her, but she shakes her head.

"Come on, Homura," insists the taller girl, pushing the Seed into her hands, "just think happy thoughts."

Purple eyes meet blue ones. After a few seconds, Homura sighs, turning to observe the Clear Seed. She cradles it in her hands, staring at it intently.

Sabrina bites her lip, leaning in expectantly.

A minute passes in silence.

Slowly, hesitantly, Homura looks back up... before her gaze drops to wander around the floor.

"Homura?" worry tinges Sabrina's voice.

"..." Homura's mouth opens and close without sound. She pushes the Seed back into Sabrina's hands. "Doesn't work," she mutters.

The next instant she's enveloped into a warm embrace, Sabrina's arms seemingly trying to choke the life out of her.

Hmm... I'm a bit torn.

On the one hand we could talk now and the advantage there is that we get this all out of the way.

On the other hand, part of me wonders if talking to Homura wouldn't be better placed later tonight when we go shopping at the Yakuza emporium, and involve less back and forth into and out of time stop.

Plus I'd kinda I really would appreciate some more discussion of plans in general. I've had severe blind spots before in this regard, and I'm worried about walking into one here.

I think it's better to not put off talks of possible Witchbombs. We can take moment in stopped time, and if Homu tries to bite our head off for mentioning it, it better happen right now than later when we're supposed to be having fun. :p

Eh, the problem is...
I believe in Onmur who believes in you, The Phoenixian. :V

And I don't really have anything more to add to the vote. So instead I'll just shitpost, thank you.

Oh. We were planning to have a talk with Hitmomi, weren't we? Have we asked Hitomi about that, or did I miss something?

"OK, Homura. Doing better?"

The purple eyed girl shot Sabrina the flattest stare. "I think the hugs were more for your benefit than mine."

"I can not quite deny that..." mused the taller of the two, "Still Homura, I know you can do this, you just have to try."

She received yet another dubious stare for an answer.

Sabrina held Homura's hands, smiling as brightly as she could. "I know there's happiness in you, you just have to let yourself feel it. You deserve to feel happy, Homura."

Faced with the Grief-controller's sheer cheer, the time traveller could only slump in resignation.

Sabrina squeezed Homura's hands once, before pulling away. When she did, Aurora's Seed was back in Homura's slender hands.

Homura played with the Seed, looking at it from every angle, before shooting Sabrina a questioning glance.

"Just..." the white haired girl pushed a lock of hair behind her ear, thinking, "... think of Madoka?"

A very faint splash of colour crept up Homura's cheeks.

"Worth a shot?" smiled Sabrina.

The dark haired girl sighed.

Then she looked down at the Clear Seed in her hands once more, her eyes boring intently into it. With a twist of her lip, she concentrated, a subtle surge of magic emanating from her Soul Gem.

Sabrina's eyes and smile widened, and she leaned in to watch-

A sniff. A whimper tug at Sabrina's heartstrings and her smile vanished replaced by dread and panic as Homura choked out a sob, and then another and the girl shook with tears streaming from her eyes.

The Seed trembled, Grief coiling and rolling and Sabrina spared the slightest amount of attention to pulling it away from Homura's hands before she crushed the girl in an embrace once more.

"This was a bad idea I'm sorry it's OK Homura let it all out it's all gonna be OK we'll save Madoka..." every reassurance she could think of streamed out of Sabrina's mouth while she held and rocked the crying Homura slightly, one hand unconsciously brushing the girl's long dark hair comfortingly.

"̵̡͖̺͚̮̻ͫͅw͈͙̝̪̞͋̏̾̌h̷̡̼̪͙̩̼̬̖̱ͭ̄ẏ̷̭̰͈̜̊̃ͣ̄͆ͯ ̛̠̗̟͉̙ͧ͐̇̽͑̚n͓̮̦̪͆ͥ̽ͫͅö̷͂͂̔ͯ̑̒͏̧̻̦̜͎t̨̝̘͇͖̹̏ͭ̍͑͡͡ ̡̯͖̼̦͔̤̩̳ͣ́͂͒ͥ̎̚ţ̠̺̓̍ͣ͆o̴̗̲̣̗̜ͧ̿̉ͩͨ̂̋ͫͤ͝u̎ͫ͊͋̓͒̔͂ͦ͜͏̧̬̯̥c͇̹̝̼̓͗̉a̷̼͇̫̋̽ņ͈̼͍ͥ̀ͭ͑̚͠s̼͍͇̫̜̬̊̒ͯͤ?̇͌̚͏ͅ"̰̫̗̻̘̙͉̦͑͗ͮ̌ͯ̕

"Shut up, Aurora," snapped Sabrina.

"Deep breaths," murmured Sabrina. "You're doing fine..."

Homura's shaking subsided bit by bit, her head buried against Sabrina's shoulder.

A few minutes passed until the time traveller finished calming down, yet the taller girl still held her close. Homura did not complain.

In the end, she pulled away, and Sabrina let go... mostly, her hands still holding Homura's shoulders.

"You're OK?" she asked, looking straight into Homura's eyes.

Homura nodded, rubbing away at her eyes with the back of her hand.

Then she held up Aurora once more.

"Wait," blinked Sabrina, "I though I had that- when did you..."

A subtle smirk flashed through Homura's lips before the girl stared intently at the Seed once more.

"Stop, that's a bad idea," Sabrina tried to take the Seed but Homura turned around, blocking it from sight. "Homura, what are you doing, you don't have to keep trying, just..." she kept trying to take back the Seed, but her dark haired friend easily dodged her grasping hands, keeping the Seed away while staring at it in concentration.

"I'm fine," murmured the quiet girl.

"Come on, Homura," Sabrina snatched at the Seed, her fingertips grazing only at Homura's hand.

The dark haired girl sighed and, with her back against Sabrina, held the Seed as far away from her body as possible, her off hand helping hold the Grief controller so she couldn't just step around her.

Try as she might, despite her longer limbs, Sabrina could not quite reach the Seed.

Instead, she pulled her arms back, giving Homura a tight hug and a bright smile.

"Can I have the Seed, pleaaaaase?"

Homura looked up, meeting Sabrina's cheerful visage with yet another flat stare.

"No."

Sabrina pouted.

Homura would have crossed her arms, would that action not have brought the Seed into Sabrina's arms' reach.

Of the two, the time traveller was definitely the most patient girl.

So Sabrina relented. "Fine... just one more try, OK?" she let go of Homura yet again.

Homura nodded, turning to examine the Seed once more.

"Happy thoughts..." she murmured.

Sabrina had a flash of anxiety as she felt the surge of magic from Homura's Gem, stronger this time, but held back on physically restraining her friend... again.

Her eyes widened as a brigh pink link emanated from Homura's hands, the focused girl not reacting as the magical, emotion fueled light was quickly absorbed into the Seed.

The light came out brighter and brighter, the feeling of magic weighting on the girls' senses more and more... until with a flash of light it spiked... and slowly died down.

Both girls rubbed at their eyes, blinking away spots.

Once she could see again, Sabrina found the Seed being presented to her, balancing on Homura's palm.

"Uh..." she mumbled, taking it, noticing the physical change first and foremost.

To her magical senses, the inside of the Seed felt... happier, she guessed?

"I guess it's not a Clear Seed any longer," commented Sabrina, smiling. "Congratulations, Homura, you just created the world's first Pink Seed."

Homura shrugged.

After contemplating the pink coloured Seed for a moment, Sabrina hummed in thought. "... You know, if this helps with de-Witching, I might ask you to repeat this process with, uh, every Seed I can get my hands on?"

Homura blinked. Her eyes stared into Sabrina's, finding only complete and total honesty in them, no trace of levity or joking.

Homura gulped.

Wait, wasn't it Old Catherine who was the paranoid one? Though, Nadia did not that Riona was reserved, if somewhat polite, so she may be Homura-ish.
Actually the read I got from Nadia is that Riona was dangerous (personally, I don't trust Riona at face value given Nadia's reservations, although I accept Sabrina does)

[] Ask Homura for a moment in private.
Do we have another Clear Seed for happy homu (or can clear one for her)? Because even more important than results, If anyone needs some excercise in "feeling happy" it's Homura.

That line seems incomplete, what do you want to say?

Also, the vote is missing talk with Hitomi about her mom.

Oh. We were planning to have a talk with Hitmomi, weren't we? Have we asked Hitomi about that, or did I miss something?
We haave not. It keeps getting dropped from the vote.
We decided along with Hitomom to have a longer talk this Saturday.

:Citation Needed: as the wording is about an in-character action.

Otherwise we can still ask Hitomi to schedule the meeting for Saturday.
Quote!
"That makes sense, I suppose. Though I suspect savvy magical girls could make a killing out there," Mrs Shizuki agrees, standing and extending a hand. "Thank you for indulging an old lady's curiosity. I'll ask my daughter to pass a message sometime, possibly this weekend? Fujio -my husband- deserves to know."

Sneaky Firn sneaky edit.

Hmm?

"Alright, then!" you say. "See you later, then! Oh, uh... Two things. I'll probably come by to pick you both up, since I'm guessing you don't really know your way around yet. And I'll be dropping off groceries for you, too? And, er, Miss Watanabe, do you eat for two bodies or just one?"

"Uhm. Thank you?" Akemi says.

"Ah... yes. Thank you?" Noriko echoes. "And just one, Miss Sabrina."
Firn, I'm disappointed. With the edit I was expexting Akemi interrupting Noriko to say her two bodies eat for three. :V

If anything, we'd be expecting Akemi to eat more than usual, seeing as she's tall and muscular.

Maybe we should make sure to cook a little more than we'd expect for... four unless we start inviting people left and right? :V

As opposed to the current situation, where she doesn't know about witches and might make a wish to save friends or family without any grasp of the true consequences?

Which is why I fall on the side of telling her. I just mean to point out that if (when) we tell her about Witches, we can't half-ass it. We must make sure Madoka knows why wishing to fix the Witch issue is not a solution she should pursue, or rather, that she knows that we know it's an option she would be considering, and that we have good reasons for being against it. If and when we reveal the Witchbomb to Madoka, that becomes the point where I would strongly support telling her that part of why she must not wish, aside from the personal danger it puts her in, is because of the threat of her Witch. Just leaving the intel given at "meguca become Witches and it's awful and we're working on fixing it we swear" is not enough information, is what I'm saying.

But that's a discussion for another time, it looks like, at any rate.

[Q] "if you make wish, i disappear from existance in a poof of logic'

[Q] "if you make wish, i disappear from existance in a poof of logic'

Actually, that may be a real issue. If Madoka makes a wish, there's a good chance that that wish'll override her "fix everything" wish from the previous loop. Even if we aren't poofed (seeing as it is very likely we only exist because of that wish), we still lose a major resource, in that the fates are no longer being subverted in our favor.

This is further compounded by the fact that we may or may not be" Ultimate Kriemhild Gretchen", of which, as the name implies, Kriemhild Gretchen forms an important part. We don't know how the hell different versions of the same witch interact. For the purpose of this argument, I'm assuming only one Kriemhild Gretchen can exist at one time. Even if we aren't poofed, a large part of Sabrina's consciousness goes missing- possibly even resulting in her psyche dissolving into an endless cacophony of voices without guide. (Versus our current endless cacophony of voices who actually work together quite well.)

Add it to list of reasons why Madoka Should Not Contract, at the very least until we put Homura through all the therapy, tear the Incubators a new one, and kill karmic destiny.

This reminds me about a thought, that if we are a de-Witched UKG (or Walp), maybe there is a core part of our being that could be analyzed, studied, and replicated and used to de-Witch other Witches.

Niko: "... It isn't every day someone willingly subjects themselves to my operating table."

Sabrina: "Less talking, more science."

I think someone mentioned once that Homura might have a lot of grief seeds in her shield, that are just shy of hatching witches.

Because of the reasons that she despises Kyuubey and doesn't need him to dump grief seeds in as nothing ages in her shield. But she still needed to use grief seeds before we made our wish.

If we want to study the results of multiple iterations of the same witch, well Homura might have duplicate seeds.
