Who do you guys think will last longer without hugs: Mami or Sabrina?
On one hand, Mumi is in her turbo limpet mod and needs constant reassurance via hugs.
On the other hand, Sabrina the Hughogolic...
We keep a separate list of people we've hugged and have yet to hug.

I was hoping for moar votes to happen so I could hide how bad I'm at votecrafting. :p

[] Share the tale of the Yakuza Boss and The Mop.

[] Ask Sayaka if she could have some birds watching the airport for incoming meguca.
-[] While she's at it, why watch just the airport?

[] After lunch:

[] Take some Sayaklones out Hunting.
-[] Be a good senpai and help Sayaka improve.
-[] Ask her to use one clone solely to watch (with sight powers?). Help point out dangers and mistakes.
-[] Muse about getting her synergetic powers, like multitasking and boosting. Remind her to ask to copy Yuma's powers.

[] Text Shin: When would it be a good time to call to check on Nagisa?

So... I have sort of a hazy idea for the possibility of Witchbombing Sayaka.

Say, we could (after hunting) tell Sayaka about the infohazard, emphasize its danger and ask her to think about whether she wants to know, but ask her to think about it for at least a day.

Then, if she wants to know (because of course), take a trip to Asunaro tomorrow while everyone else is at school, say hi, take Niko aside in private and Witchbomb Sayaka together.

Afterwards, share Clear Seed Happiness notes with Niko.

The only way this would affect this current vote would be that we'd rather take Sayaka Prime + Sayaklones hunting, rather than just Sayaklones.

So, [] Ask Sayaka to leave a clone at school and go hunting, rather than [] Take some Sayaklones out hunting.

Of course, we could also not take the risk of Witchbombing Sayaka right now, but I feel it has to happen at some point, if we're on the Sayagod train.

As far as her friends are concerned Sabrina tends to verb and noun adjectively anyway, and come up with odd neologisms.
Strange new idioms is perfectly cromulent for her.

I will participate more proactively, when finish, or rather, start one thing.

For now though, I'm here to shitpost and vent, and maybe mask it under a thin veneer of context, so that I won't get threadbanned for derailing. :V

Btw, I wonder how Sayaclones feel to her. I mean, whether they are extensions of her body, like our Brinaclones, or it's more of a simulacrum thingy. Has she ever told us?

If they are like Brinaclones, it doesn't really matter if Highlander Prime Sayaka stays at school or goes with us. Statement: In fact, it'll be objectively safer for her to study with her vulnerable meatbag instead of wallowing it around in front of hungry Witches.

How would birds know the difference between a meguca and a normal human? Also, maybe don't encourage birds to hang out around aircraft?
I'm hoping birds can spot the relevant piece of bling. The thought of birds and aircraft flitted through my mind, but I'm so indecisive about what to do about Riona that I don't know. :p

Do we wait for her? Call her first? Say we know she's coming? Pretend we don't? Try to meet her when she arrives? ...

Objection.

Sayaka is safest within our grief control radius. Her meatpuppet needs to stay within 100 meters of her at all times, her other clones are not range limited.

I love how in PMMM, having your soul separate from your body is some big horrible thing, but here, we're calling a magical girl's original biological body her meatpuppet.

Well, apparently birbs can tell when someone's saluting them.
A very clear and obvious arm motion made at close range in clear view versus being able to spot a particular style of ring on a finger in a crowd from a distance....

I still say call Nadia and see if she'd be comfortable opening a dialogue. Worst case scenario, if she's hostile she knows that we know that she's coming, but the tactical advantage of that is fleeting if we have no idea when she might appear. Best case scenario, dangerous misunderstanding averted.

"Alright, then!" you say. "See you later, then! Oh, uh... Two things. I'll probably come by to pick you both up, since I'm guessing you don't really know your way around yet. And I'll be dropping off groceries for you, too? And, er, Miss Watanabe, do you eat for two bodies or just one?"

"Uhm. Thank you?" Akemi says.

"Ah... yes. Thank you?" Noriko echoes. "And just one, Miss Sabrina."

Sneaky Firn sneaky edit.

Birds have very sharp eyesight and some are known to be attracted to shiny objects. So yeah, if Sayaka shows her ring and tell them to look for the very similar things, I don't think we're gonna have a problem.

Okay well I would just like to say that the whole 'given the givens' line made perfect and total sense to me. I'd never heard it before, but it parses well enough as a colloquialism, and if it isn't a thing, then it totally should be.

SV may be slightly more transhumanist positive than the Japanese norm of 2011.
It's also much easier to be blase about it when it's theoretical and fictional rather than your own real physical body. It's much easier to give your Shadowrun character cybereyes on a character sheet than it is to contemplate deliberately having your own eyes plucked out of their sockets and replaced.

Spotting a shiny is one thing. Being able to tell a soul gem ring from the various other sort of rings that people will be wearing is something else.

Hmmm... We know from Nadia that Riona's on the paranoid side of things, I think.

Despite what excuses we could give, maybe calling her ahead would make her suspiiiiciouuuuuus?

Don't give her excuses. Just tell her we know who she is, where she lives, where her parents live and what Wish she made.

And we're waiting. :V
