We're going to need an "Away Team" soon for crap like this.
So the real question is, are we delegating (tell Kazumi & Co. they can handle it on their own, which is probably true)? Are we taking the supersonic Griefplane? With or Without timestop?
How seriously should we treat this? Hijiri is by no means a weak opponent, but we didn't metabomb the Pleiades, so is it safe to tell them it's her? Should we even do so? What's the risk when Kyuubey overhears?
Mami claims your hand, twining her fingers with yours, and you smile at her before returning your attention to Mrs Shizuki. "Only insofar as it's an aspect of my magic I wanted to test," you say. A thought strikes you. "Ah, if I may... what does your company do?"
"Finance!" Sayaka pipes up. "Right?"
"Indeed," Mrs Shizuki says. "We do finance and technology investment, for most part. It's why we came to Mitakihara, really."
"Ah, I see!" you say, tapping your chin thoughtfully.
to be fair, if Kazumi's manga is correct, we are walking into a fight with a girl who deliberately wished for connection powers instead of getting them tangentially. And she's utter bullshit.
Also, Mami's conceptual powers seem pretty OP. That's a really flexible domain?
Oh, no, it's much worse than that: it's the bullshit Silicon Valley VC wankfest.I am disappointed at Sabrina for not responding with "sounds legitimate!" cause that explanation sounds more like a cover for a Yakuza/Mafia protection racket/Loan Sharks than a real business.
She already had our address from back then."Miss Inoue?" you respond. "Hi, what's up?"
"Just letting you know that your ID has been fabricated," Yuuki says. "I'll need an address to have it sent to?"
"Oh wow, that was fast," you say, blinking in surprise. "I'm impressed!"
"Thank you," Yuuki says. You can practically hear her preening. "Your address?"
"Uhh," you say, and rattle off Mami's address.
(Though I guess it's not exactly a mistake.)"Address?"
"Uh, I'm living with Mami," you say. "So, um..." You rattle off Mami's address.
Squints eyes."You know, I could try and jog your memory," she volunteers. "I've got some mind tricks. Only if you want!"
You manage to suppress your flinch. Having her root around your mind is not the most pleasant thought. "I'll keep it in mind,"
Umika and Kaoru are both freshly showered, leaning against each other and dozing on the other sofa as they wait for their hair to dry. "Say, Mami?"
Darn! Kaoru showered twice! I'm assuming she took poor Kazumi's turn. And I thought she loved her, ha..."Kind of," you agree. You're about to continue when the bathroom door swings open and Kaoru emerges, damp and towelling her hair.
If it's the middle of the night, we could take Mami, the Pleiades, and anyone else who wants to come (without leaving Mitakihara defenseless), and go hunting, probably.
Yeah, I agree. At the very least we need to talk with Niko within a privacy sphere first before divulging anything about her wish. That first line and sub votes is going to cause a major blow up.
Well, the flashback didn't show Kazumi killing Yuuri's Witch with the Saints, so I assume it was after Kazumi died, but before they came up with/enacted the Jyubey plan. It would tie in with the Saints being standoffish after the fight as well, before just ditching Airi.@BlackoutSampler do you know when in the timeline did Airi Anri made her wish? She might be a suspect too for the break-in.
Yeah, I agree. At the very least we need to talk with Niko within a privacy sphere first before divulging anything about her wish.
Someone should draw a fanart from this now!
The bearer of the No-Fun title heeds the call. "It can't be that easy".Now it's time to post this and get a reply from somebody saying "it cant be that easy."
And maybe not. But a catgirl can hope T_T
Isn't Hijiri the girl who could impersonate Niko? If so, then we need to treat this as a full emergency, like timestop-hunting Oriko. We're going to need an "Away Team" soon for crap like this.

We could bring a chibi.Tell Homura that since Mami already missed school yesterday, she can't miss out today,
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU---

Which means we're going to need that lie detector construct for making sure that this Niko is the real, original one.
Beyond that, timestop to deliver a full infodump about Hijiri, as well as metabomb them.
And yes, if we go to Asunaro, we're taking the supersonic Griefplane in timestop. If we're just dropping the Asunaro girls off, then we're still taking the Griefplane in timestop.
Timestop is the only way to deal with this before the Shiogama girls arrive.
I thought about it, but that would end up with Mami Prime being distracted at school...
Unless Hijiri can hack into Niko's telepathy, this should be a safe way to verify Niko is Niko when we meet.
