Love it, its uncommon to something like this!
We should go all out to see how brutal we can go since Yuma is here with the healing.

[ ] Hound Sayaka as she would've hounded you. It's only fair.

:p

EDIT: Actually, I mean it. We should remain up close and pester Sayaka as much as we can. We're just to stop her from switching powers, after all.

We should probably at least use nanogrief as a method of second sight to augment our capabilities I think. It give us a chance to practice reacting to that input and it's not an active use of grief.

Don't softball it. We're garbage at melee, with Sayaka having defeated us in it on multiple occasions already. If there's a lesson to teach here, we can't teach it by going easy on her.

Odds are the best we can do here is try to push Sayaka from an "objective vs obstacle" sort of setup. If she's fighting us she's missing the objective; if she's tunnel-visioning Kyouko she's, well, tunnel-visioning. Of course, given how shite we are at melee, this'll be as hard for us as for Sayaka...

And on top of that, Kyouko wants us to try to stop Sayaka from swapping powers.

...

Oh.

Hey, I think I see a way for us to win this. I'm not sure we'd want to go for it -- in fact, I don't think we do -- but if we wanted to we could aim for Sayaka's keychain-thing. I don't think I like that idea -- might damage important stuff, might get us sworded.

Eh, perhaps we'll just do our best?

Kyoko's trying to make a point here with us not using any form of Grief. Let's stick to what Melee-Senpai wants, instead of taking every opportunity to SCIENCE!!11!!oneone! It's her show, not ours.

If we hound Sayaka well enough, she will be forced to fight us seriously instead of going at Kyouko. While that would almost surely be a loss for Sayaka, we'd still have to actually fight Sayaka at pure melee. :V

So we should keep that in mind.

-[ ] Her Swords are faster than your Hammer, and you need to keep up the pressure. Remember to make liberal use of attacks that are not heavy swings with the head; Use the shaft, grapple with the shaft, jab with the head, punches and kicks, use the weight of the hammer as counterweight to aid in movement, etc.
--[ ] Can we use rock baseballs as a ranged attack? Or can we summon non-grief baseballs as extension of our weapon?

Thoughts?

You know, I still want to try lenghtening the shaft of the warhammer and attempt to use it as a poleaxe... but we just happen to in a place where short weapons are better. :V

Can just,

[ ] Pressure Sayaka constantly. Force her to fight you instead of Kyouko.

We've been doing less micro.

Okay. The core idea is to remember that a hammer is more versatile than simply swinging it. What's your thoughts on the baseball idea? Or we could try throwing hammers.

And I'm pretty sure that's called a Lucern Hammer, not a Poleaxe.

Why strategize this much? A standard "Go all out" vote is enough. Our goal here isn't to win, it's to help Kyoko test Sayaka, and for that, a super specific and optimized strategy isn't really needed.

Right, I meant to write 'polearm'.

I don't think we'd do much by trying to throw things at Sayaka. It's not really a skill we have, and Sayaka's better at melee than us, so she'd dodge any non magical projectile we throw, most of the time.

Is Sabrina any good with her fists? Warhammers don't seem ideal for this.
Magical girls, dude.

Can we dual-wield one-handed hammers?
We could, but we're probably better off with a single warhammer. :p

We shall become PunchGuca, our long lost cousin.

That out of the way, no. Sabrina is horrible in melee even with her Mace. I doubt she'd fare better with her fists.
To help ourselves in improving? This is training, a time to experiment and practice.
It's not our training. This is Sayaka's. It's her time to learn and improve, and we shouldn't muck the lesson up by doing something unorthodox.

There's a time and place for everything, and it's not this.
