Acceptable.

All in favor of refering to @Karakazam with increasingly incorrect spellings of his name, say "Aye"!
Aye aye! @Kuraizu the catgirl shall be the butt of this short-lived joke!

[X] "Jeeze... you can't end a picnic without ice cream."
-[X] Don't move for a few seconds
-[X] "I'm too fat to get the ice cream." Sadface.
-[X] Consider making Chibi-Brina get the ice cream; remember you can't do that right now. File away the 'Chibi-Brina as food server / maid' idea for later.
[X] Help out with ice cream and packing leftovers.

Acceptable.

Or we could just call them Kyosuke. I mean it's not like there's any character in the quest named that, so it won't be confusing at all.

-[X] Consider making Chibi-Brina get the ice cream; remember you can't do that right now.

Why? It's not like there's anyone important present who doesn't know about magic. :V

[x] Welp. Looks like we brought a bit too much stuff. How d'we wanna split the leftovers?
-[x] Slowly start packing up. Escort Nagisa back to Shin, and after a last call for ice-cream, shove the remainder back into Homura's shield, to be retrieved later.

[x] Ask Sayaka if she has some time to discuss a couple of things privately once Kyousuke's back. Hitomi too, this also concerns her.
-[x] They can talk to Madoka about it later, if they wish, but they should be able to make an informed decision about whether to share it, first.
--[x] If they do, telepathy Mami and Homura: Go or no-go on the discussion?
---[x] If Mami and Homura okay it, telepathy Kirika and Oriko. Fair warning, you're about to discuss the situation with Sayaka. You'll tell them how it goes.

[x] Accompany Hitomi and Sayaka back to the hospital with Kyousuke, along with Mami, while Homura escorts Madoka home.
-[x] Once that's settled, get to a more private setting and start talking.

[X] There's another group of magical girls in the city we'd like Sayaka to meet. Oriko Mikuni, a precognitive, and the one who warned us about Sayaka getting witch kissed, and her girlfriend, Kirika.
-[X] We're keeping them under strict house arrest - because Oriko was the one who burned down Sayaka's house, and Kirika was the one who pushed Hitomi down the stairs.

-[X] Answer any answer Sayaka or Hitomi ask:
--[X] If they asks why we didn't tell them sooner, apologize; we were going to tell her, but then found KB wiped Sayaka's parents memories... and we kind of let it be, and didn't bring it up in the end. Apologize again.
--[X] If they ask about motives: Oriko is a precognitive. When we confronted her about it, she made some claims that this was for "the greater good". Which I rejected, of course - whatever 'good' she saw in the future, she was hurting people in the present.
--[X] On the topic of punishment: The legal system isn't built to handle magical girls. No mundane prison can hold a determined magical girl - and even if it could be managed, without access to cleansing for soul gems, it would be a death sentence. We - I - offered them an ultimatum, of remaining under house arrest and using their abilities for actual good... or else. They accepted.
--[X] On the topic of what happened, exactly: When we confirmed that Oriko was behind burning your house down, we used Homura's ability to stop time, and then scoured all of Mitakihara until we found her. Homura was really the one who found Oriko, and... shot her head clean off her head. You had a hard time convincing her to heal up Oriko and putting her under house arrest.

It's the return of the HYUUUGE votes for simple topics! :V

You can't fool me into voting for you Redshirt! This time, we'll vote for someone else besides you!

We can do this entire section later when they actually ask the questions. No need to do everything right now.

---[x] If Mami and Homura okay it, telepathy Kirika and Oriko. Fair warning, you're about to discuss the situation with Sayaka. You'll keep them filled in on how it goes.
I don't know. Did we make a promise with the two to keep them filled in?

I feel like this is a betrayal of Sayaka's trust. It's supposed to be a private conversation, so why are we giving O&K a recording of a private conversation without Sayaka knowing about it? We can warn them, sure, but anything more is too much.

It is telepathy, and Kyubey could use it against us.

I'm not planning a line-by-line transcript. We'll tell O&K if Sayaka is stuck in murderblender mode or not, and that should be sufficient for their purposes.

We can talk about the beginning of the conversation (We're gonna talk to Sayaka!) and the end of the conversation (Good/Bad News!), but that isn't exactly what the wording of the vote conveyed. "Keep them filled in" sounds like we're gonna tell them how everything proceeds. You probably should replace it with "We'll tell them how it goes." or something similar instead for the sake of clarity.

Modified Redshirt's vote and combined it with the earlier votes because it's just too cute not to.

I removed the lower portion entirely. We'll deal with it when it comes. They're pretty unnecessary right now. We first need to see how the two react before we'll be able to calm them down.

[X] Hannz

Let me try and think something up to explain that. Plot Holes inbound. *Missile noises*

Violin!Mom wished that she would someday have a child that was a musical prodigy. She didn't wish for the child right then and there, but someday when she's married Violin!Dad.

Years passed, the wish ultimately became meaningless to her and she lost whatever passion she had for music as family, her profession and MGing took priority. True to PMMM fashion, the wish came back to bite her.

She got what she wished for, a Musical Prodigy, a modern Mozart, and a musical genius by all accounts, but she didn't get a son.

Violin Boy and Violin Mom are related by blood, but the relationship remains cool. He never talks about anything besides his craft and has clearly surpassed her in terms of pure skill so she really has nothing to contribute to his growth besides the same stories and lessons over and over again. He stays locked up inside his room playing the Violin all day and hurriedly finishes his meals with the family so he could go back and practice, and whatever family outings and bondings they have hardly deserve to be called such.

One of the worst feelings a parent could ever experience is the feeling that their's a untenable rift between them and their children.

Violin Mom doesn't want to stiffle Kyosuke's talent, hence the lessons, but when an accident broke his hand and the doctors told them recovery is impossible, she didn't act.

Maybe it's because she's sworn off the MG lifestyle, living off several years worth of Grief Seeds or only occasionally hunting, but Violin Mom believes that this is ultimately good for Kyosuke even if it does break her heart to see him like that.

She can secretly heal him at a later date once he's learned that there's more to life than his Violin. Besides, there's that nice pair of girls that keep on visiting him, so he's sure to get back up from his bout with depression with their help.

Maybe then, Kyosuke would finally spend some time with dear old mom. A MG's life is fragile, and she doesn't want to end it without ever getting to know who her son is.
Actually, Violin Boy is even more distant from his family... because they're not his real family!

That's right, Violin Mom decided she didn't want to risk becoming a Witch and killing her family, so she turned her Soul... into a Violin!

And Violin Boy now forever holds Violin Mom's Soul in his hands whenever he plays.

Gon' steal redshirts shirt, alter it, make it short because it doesn't actually need to be long, an then ppl can put hitomi back in if they want.

[X] There's two more meguca in mitakihara proper that Sayaka hasn't met. But, she probably should meet them, because they're responsible for burning down her house and for saving her life.

[X] Let Sayaka ask questions and try to get a grip on things. Answer them. Maintain a firm voice -- we don't regret our actions in these matters. Fit in the events of the night that Sayaka's house was torched (whitewash the witch-Kirika threat to just a Kirika threat), Kirika fighting with us in the war, Oriko's actions that saved Sayaka's life, and Oriko's current state.
-[X] Fit in our theory about Oriko's precog: that until Oriko stops being depressed, the only timelines her precog will show that include her "finding the meaning of her life" will also have her dying to fulfill that meaning.

[X] Apologize for not having told Sayaka sooner. Suggest strongly that she should talk to Madoka about this.

...not a fan of that wording, Redshirt. Seems like it's likely to end very badly. Will go into more detail when I get home and have a real computer to work with.

Weren't we going to talk to Homura and Madoka about the potentialbomb at some point, too?

I disagree that Hitomi needs to know right now, she is not a MG and she is not the one it affected. If we aren't telling Madoka as well Hitomi does not need to be included.
Also we don't need Mami and Houmrua to OK telling Kirika and Oriko that we are discussing it with Sayaka

Weren't we going to talk to Homura and Madoka about the potentialbomb at some point, too?

Just Homura, but tbh we can seriously deal with that on a fucking miniature timescale. My vision of that is "Homura? QB may tell you X. If / when he does, please remember that he is your enemy and wants you to despair, and so is prone to witholding any positive details and fabricating by implication negative ones."

Like is there something more to say about it besides warning her to ignore the bastard? We could say something about the possibilities afforded by anomalous timelines ig.

We really need to put a lot more of that crucial information about Oriko's reasons out there before we tell Sayaka that Oriko burned her house down. If we put it afterwards, she is never going to hear it because she's going to be too busy flipping the fuck out to listen.

This is exactly the same thing that caused the metabomb to go wrong for us. Let's not repeat that mistake.

Context first before the bomb.

Sayaka tends to judge people quickly, and she tends to hold that judgement for long.

Aaaaand I'm going to repeat myself.

There is a difference between "they burned your house down" and "they burned your house down and saved your life", just like there would have been a difference between "I didn't know we could be friends" and "I didn't know that we could be friends but now that we are I want to keep it."

Context first before the bomb.

Sayaka tends to judge people quickly, and she tends to hold that judgement for long.

And how do you judge based on "they hurt you but they also saved your life"?

God it's like people aren't seeing this.

Not to mention we really need to show a little delicacy in delivering this news. Right now it comes off like, "Oh, BTW, she burned your house down," and I don't think she'll respond well to that.

I believe that she'll respond with stuttering and exclamations, yes. Absolutely.

But if we simply continue to respond to her with a level tone and full explanations, I think she'll level off. And moreover, I don't see how you expect any other reaction from any other way of stating this.

And I disagree that this comes off as "BTW", because the way that the proper voicing will play the sentence will put the focus on their actions rather than their existences, and furthermore the sentence is saying "you should meet these people because," which already puts more value on the reasons anyways.

It would be BTW if we kept talking after that. But by stopping there we make it obvious that we're expecting a reaction to that.

And I'm going to repeat myself: in the time between the first and second half of that statement, Sayaka will have become upset enough to not hear the rest of it. Just like what happened to Mami during the metabomb.

And how do you judge based on "they hurt you but they also saved your life"?

God it's like people aren't seeing this.
Because Sayaka is not going to be seeing your point. She's not going to be thinking rationally about the pros and cons of Oriko's actions. She's going to be responding emotionally, based on snap judgments. Just like she did when she decided to refuse to use Grief Seeds and wound up killing herself.

More sympathy for The Devil Sayaka, maybe?

[ ] There's another group of magical girls in the city we'd like Sayaka to meet. Oriko Mikuni, a precognitive and the one who warned us about Sayaka getting witch kissed, and her girlfriend, Kirika.
-[ ] We're keeping them under strict house arrest - because Oriko was the one who burned down Sayaka's house, and Kirika was the one who pushed Hitomi down the stairs.

--[ ] Yes, she was the one. We had to hunt her down and stuff. Let me explain: Oriko's power allowed her to see the future, and she foresaw your death, Sayaka, your death as long as you stayed at your home. So, Oriko being the traumatized, abandoned, little melodramatic teenager she is, she tried to change that and figured, "hey, let's do this in the most dastardly, ending sort of way possible, if she can't stay in the house, I'll make sure she can't be in the house because the house doesn't exist anymore MUAHAHAHA!"
---[ ] Ahem. I'm not defending her actions; we've all agreed her methods were plain terrible, but, hold on.
----[ ] Pull out a cigarette, lit it and and start smoking.
-----[ ] Actually, Oriko's just kind of a bitch. Her only redeemable quality is her girlfriend, now she's cool, she's basically a nice, cute, edgy murderblob of brain damage, did you know she pushed Hitomi down the stairs? Did it before becoming a meguca, too!

I think this takes care of everything.

:)

The difference is that one buries the lead while the other doesn't mention the lead at all.

Lead with the lead. That's what leads are for.
