Can I just say that I no longer think we'll have trouble defeating Walpurgisnacht? I think that, rather, we'll have trouble doing it without causing so much collateral damage that Mitakihara would've been better off letting WPN rampage.

There's always the option of creating a grief shield and aim up. Or timestop+sloooooooooooooow disintegration.

Ooor we can commit insurance fraud and make it look like storm damage and not, say, the effects of several detonations in the hight KT - low MT range.

And it's not like some cobalt-60 is that bad for health.

We can have Grief radiate photons. What's stopping us from having it radiate anything we want in exactly the same fashion?

Grab a bunch of air and use Grief to compress it a whole bunch, enough to get fusion going, then open a pinhole facing Walpurgisnacht and watch it evaporate in nuclear fire.

Someone's probably had that idea before, but it just struck me how creative we're having to be to not obliterate the planet.

[x] Ah, I just talked with Homura. She said she's willing to come for Sayaka's training today, and might show up a little early to catch the tail end of our practice session. She declined to let Sayaka copy her power for now, though. I kinda get it - her power's scary, even just the obvious part - but I'm hoping she'll warm to the idea eventually.

Uhh....does Mami know about the non-obvious part of Homura's power, and if she does, should we be discussing the fact she has a non-obvious aspect to her power so openly?

This idea just had horrifying offspring with some of the Worm-thread ideas on how to nuke the Endbringers using Clockblocker and Vista. I just realized that Sabrina can do the same thing. By that same token, why not use antimatter instead? :V :V

Strictly speaking, there's no reason Sabs can't surround herself in a grief shell that constantly emits high-power gamma rays directly and murder all life for miles around her. We are fucking OP like that. It's just not something we have any reason to ever do.

It's a hint I'm okay with dropping in this context. If we're going to agree with Homura, we have to imply that there's more to her power then Mami's seen.

It's either:
A). Agree with Homura, hint to Mami that Homu's power is extra bullshit. Increases risk of QB potentialbombing Homura later, will need to mitigate.

B). Disagree with Homura, but ask Mami to respect Homura's boundary anyway.

That's my nickname IRL, which made reading that pretty surreal. :V

woe onto anyone who managed to kill Mami.... Sabrina witching out and eating you is not the worst fate to befall you.

I mean she could boil you with radiation or tear you apart with high level infrasonics.

Then she will kill you.

I disagree. We can agree that a magical girl's power can be a very personal thing and support Homura's decision without conceding that Sayaka could accidentally into a different timeline or something major. When a friend says "I'm not comfortable with doing that" you do not need to come up with a justification for their feelings.

Vote 6: Homus Are Not For Bullying

[x] Okay then! Hug Mami, then close your eyes and concentrate.
-[x] Unleash... the chibi.
--[x] See if you can look through the chibi's eyes. Try and get the hang of piloting/controlling it. Have Chibi Brina hug Chibi Mami.

[x] Ah, I just talked with Homura. She said she's willing to come for Sayaka's training today, and might show up a little early to catch the tail end of our practice session. She declined to let Sayaka copy her power for now, though. Hopefully she'll warm to the idea eventually.
-[x] Any thoughts on what we should cover in today's session for Sayaka? I was thinking we could cover positioning and approach options. Sayaka was far too eager to rush into melee yesterday. And with Homura here, we could also cover teamwork - do a 2v2. I asked, and she said she has airsoft guns. What do you think?
-[x] Heh. Should we prank Homura and have just our chibis greet her? Or Sayaka? How much concentration does the chibi take? Getting some progress is more important than a silly prank - but both would be nice.

[x] Once that discussion wraps up: GOOD MORNING MITAKIHARA!
-[x] How is everyone? Everyone set for the picnic?
--[x] Sayaka, is that training this morning still on?

[x] Privately message Sayaka.
-[x] Sorry about the early wakeup call. It's just, I screwed up, and wanted to make sure you were okay. Clear seeds can dump the grief in them into normal grief seeds on contact. It's not an issue on its own, but if a normal grief seed overfills... the witch in it can rehatch. I am very, very, very sorry about not mentioning it earlier.

[x] Call Nagisa's uncle. Let him know about the plans for the picnic. Ask if Nagisa can attend.

[x] Offer to try working on a tandem attack with Mami. Start by seeing if you can cooperate to make a automatic firing mechanism compatible with Mami's muskets. Look into what she actually uses for propellant, and how she wants to feed the ammunition.
-[x] If it works, try with a scale model of Tiro Finale, to work out placement of various components, before scaling it up to full Tiro Finale size. Keep in mind the fine control you have over grief, and abuse it liberally to avoid issues common to big guns.
-[x] Confer with Mami on other possible things that can be improved with a combination design. Applying additional electromagnetic acceleration, maybe, if she can make her projectiles conductive, or with a conductive sabot?
--[x] If you do fire it, aim downward, because the ground is pretty much the only backstop that can withstand this thing. Take appropriate safety precautions.
--[x] Let Mami name it.

[x] Greet Homura when she arrives, potentially as two chibis tinkering with a massive autocannon.

If radiation is involved, not lethal is the best option, followed by inmediatly lethal. You do not want to fall in the middle ground. At all.

Well I doubt a MG would be dead even when her BODY is dead.

Plus Sabrina can grief bend so you the MG in question won't witch out due to her magic trying to heal her racking up corruption.

But I'm going to leave it at that otherwise this is going to head into rather more... gruesome territory.
