We know the past - Homura's past, to be specific. PMAS is set after PMMM's canonical events, with Madoka having made a different wish. As such, it can be said to be roughly concurrent with the wraith arc, with only Rebellion being true knowledge of an alternate future.

Mami: Sabrina... what are you making?

Sabrina: A timeline!

Mami: Isn't that a line normally? ... why is yours um... a box?

Sabrina: People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually — from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint — it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly... timey-wimey... stuff.

Mami: Hence a box?

Sabrina: yep! also multiple looping closed timelike curves and concurrent alternate progressions without exclusivity inside a shared membrane manifold is hard to visualize you know?

not in the S&M sense.

Sabrina cares a lot for Mami. If that makes her 'whipped' aka doing what the other person asks, why is that a bad thing? Yeah it can be a co-dependency problem but I'm pretty sure it won't be.

That's not explained in any of the story-only posts. I read through them all when first getting into the quest, and it's definitely not there.

"So, uh. One way it can play out is that it Witch Kisses Hitomi, who drags Madoka along to a group suicide. I suppose that's no longer a real issue, with Hitomi in the hospital, but something to look out for with regards to Madoka? It's in a warehouse, from what I remember, an-"

"How do you know this?" Homura interrupts you, looking extremely perturbed.

"Uh? I told you, I don't remember anything of myself, just... events," you say truthfully.

Homura is being remarkably accommodating, don't you think?

"So... what exactly happened last loop?" you ask tentatively. "But." You hold up a hand to forestall her answer. "I trust you, Homura, and if you're not comfortable with it, you don't have to tell me."

You let the silence drag again.

Finally, she starts speaking slowly, dredging up painful memories. "Mami died to the sweets Witch. Charlotte, you said? Miki Sayaka made a contract, and saved Madoka from the television Witch. Kyouko Sakura arrived from Kasamino, and I made an agreement with her to gain her assistance for Walpurgisnacht. Miki Sayaka Witched out shortly after."

You stare at her, a chill running down your spine. That sounds remarkably familiar. "Did Kyouko and Sayaka meet and fight in an alleyway? And then you intervened?"

Homura nods slowly, staring back at you. "So you do know about it. You told me that the television Witch might trap Madoka again."

"Wait. I'm sorry, Homura, but this is important - did Madoka make a Wish?" you ask urgently.

She swallows painfully. "Yes. She... she wished that everything could be fixed. And then she killed Walpurgisnacht, and..." Homura trails off, and her shield bearing arm makes a little gesture, grabbing at empty air.

Here.
