That makes no sense. If you're in front of someone in need- and Sasa as written in canon does need help, seriously- and just ignore her to go rush off for someone else who you don't even know where to find, that's basically saying that the person you just ran off from doesn't matter to you.
No. Whether someone is in front of us or not should not matter at all in our choices. That's childish.

If you believe Sasa needs help, you should've been voting to find her and help her a long, long while ago.

Seriously, is there some reason we cannot use the timestop to explain things to Mami, in person, before talking with this Sasa girl?
I'm not sure it's worth bothering Homura over it.

To be honest, I don't think Homura will really mind, so we can totally do that.

At the same time, the few minutes it'll take to come back here on our own shouldn't change things.

I wanted to help Sayaka. We didn't do that.
The quest voted to look for Sasa, giving us the chance to help her. You know, the premise and main reason for the MC's being? Helping make the situation better? We found her and now we're not doing that.

This is just an entirely self-inflicted inability to help anyone, and I'm not even talking about the line we told Mami here. If we don't help Sasa, this timestop was a massive waste of votes because nothing has come of it. Before last vote, I felt we hadn't actually gotten anything at all out of these votes that we didn't have before and I think that if we don't help Sasa, that'll actually be the result. Nothing gained.

Your motivation for it is something I consider utterly wrong.

And <30 minutes doesn't matter. What does is that it's throwing Sasa under the bus for Mamihugs.

Wrong. It's to be fussed when we KNOW people are in danger and we can help them.

I am impressed by your dedication to save this one girl that is hard to like.

However contracting is not the only danger in the world. She can be assaulted and killed or put in a coma. She could fall into a witch's barrier and get kissed or eaten. Or she could be bullied into committing suicide.

The world is a dangerous place, and you cannot remove all the risk to all people, but you can lower the risks.

In this particular case, she should contract, just with a different wish than canon! She may not want to turn into a monster, but she'll never be happy as a charity case for a magical girl.

Also I would like if you would realize that most of the posters do indeed wish to help her, they just don't see her in any unreasonable danger, while others may be.

...Other than the idea that Sasa doesn't matter enough to make sure she's safe over hugging Mami some more, none whatsoever.
That's the beauty of it. Prioritizing becomes irrelevant when multitasking, and time stop is multitasking.
We'll hace a hard time explaining why we were searching for her in the first place without metabombing Mami first.
That could actually serve our purposes. We explain to her that we will explain this later, to soften the blow.

She shouldn't contract, honestly. Being a potential is safer.

I don't think the rest of the posters really care about Sasa's wellbeing, never mind the implications for Sabrina's character if she just leaves a bad situation to fester.

Please stop misrepresenting the arguments of others, Ugolino.
This is exactly what it boils down though, Godwinson.

Do we want to go talk to Mami some more instead of just explaining things and apologizing and hugging her a while later...or do we want to help the girl we're right in front of who we know is unstable and who could make a mess if we leave her to slip into her issues?

In other words, Mamihugs or talking to Sasa?

I don't even like Sasa as written in her source material- though I expect Firn to do a decent job with her and making her more 3D, I just think that disregarding her wellbeing borders on character assassination. Of Sabrina.

Completely false. Information was learned, so hardly a waste of time.
Information is useless if you don't use it. We wouldn't have been, and still might not.

The people voting that way aren't doing it just to "talk to Mami some more". That's exactly what I'm talking about when I'm saying you're repeatedly and willfully misrepresenting the arguments of others.

1 - Leave Sasa alone. We've got what we wanted.
Homura way
2 - Leave her a note asking to meet us. Go back to say bye to Mami and Homura and everyone, then come back and meet Sasa on our own time. There's a chance she might run off, there's a chance she'll be intrigued and stay. Anyway we hunt her down and fly her over so she can join us for Kokolunch.
or Sabrina way? :V

Then do explain because that really is how I read it and I don't understand how that's considered a misrepresentation. The "but we promised" doesn't matter in the slightest because that was entirely on us, unprompted and somewhat of a big lipped alligator moment in context, and it would literally take a sentence to get Mami to understand.

We have had conversations with her before...and she more than understands "Sabrina is in a situation where someone needs help". That isn't an excuse here.

And looks like Sabrina way is winning. Predictably. :p
And then Sabrina was Sabrina.

Because we've repeatedly yanked Mami back and forth on various matters, and even with it being unprompted, it was still something we promised. However ill-advised or out of character you might consider it, we literally promised her that we were just going to be talking and be right there an instant later for her.

At this point you've literally argued that going back to tell Mami that something came up in time-stop is unacceptable, despite there being absolutely no risk of Sasa contracting in time-stop.

You're not behaving rationally, and you're accusing everyone else of being irrational and/or evil and/or stupid.

Stop.

We interrupt your regularly scheduled unnecessarily heated argument program to bring you this very important broadcast: Things what I've been doing instead of finishing a badly overdue update for my own quest in my copious free time.

1. We've also built Mami up considerably from when things were worse, and she understands the need for Sabrina to Do Stuff Sometimes. It wouldn't be the ideal answer, but it'd be the least-bad one in this situation.
2. If we explain why we need to break a bad promise and apologize, we can mitigate the effects. Not all promises are good ones, or ones that can be kept.
3. I literally said that I think it's a good idea but that I don't think the quest will vote for it. I would be over the moon if that won instead of the current wagon, if only because "timestop to tell Mami" doesn't show utter contempt for Sasa's wellbeing that I feel goes against everything we've previously voted for in terms of Sabrina's characterization.

To sum up, I would be delighted if we actually voted for telling Mami that something came up in timestop but I don't expect it to actually win instead of a vote I consider less ideal. That it isn't going to come up again, be voted for, or win doesn't mean I think it's a bad (unwritten) vote or a bad idea.

[X] Give your longcoat to Homura. Your magical outfit is pretty much normal clothes without it.
-[x] Take Sasa into timestop. Be patient and wait for her to calm down.
-[x] Explain that she is a potential, that she can become a magical girl, and might be soon contacted by an alien entity who'll offer her the chance.
-[x] She just needs to let it mutilate her Soul.
-[x] Show her your Soul Gem, explain what has been done to you and every other magical girl.
-[x] If that's not enough to keep her from contracting, explain that your soul now naturally becomes corrupted, and if it corrupts absolutely, you'll be condemned to a future of endless suffering.

There. Due diligence done. If she contracts anyway, that's her choice. Not our job to stop her from making an informed decision.

If she goes all mindrapey, we find her and rock her. She may be innocentish at the moment, but she could still become a major threat.

I think i maybe jumping to the point too quickly, since we decide to wait it out first. So i delete the last line.
Damn. Sabrina!Sabrina will have to wait then.

But soon, we'll vote to do as Sabrina would do, which would result in Sabrina doing what Sabrina would do, which is doing what Sabrina would do, so choosing to choose to do as Sabrina would do...

This one is totally Sabrina thinking: "Oh, Sabrina..."
