I think the two votes are actually pretty close - we want to accomplish the same things, and we are all afraid of slighting or damaging an important relationships. We are essentially debating graduations of the same plan worded and acted on slightly differently. Perhaps a compromise plan that uses the best of both. I think both of the main sides have good points.

Maybe something like this:

[X] To Kyouko
[x]...I kind of just want to drop in, if that's okay. Head over if she gives you the go-ahead. And I was wondering...Would you be interested in a possible job? Hypothetically speaking?
[x]If Kyoko asks for details, tell her it'd involve sparring with a new magical girl sometime to help her get better. Just...showing them the ropes, you know? You're good with that spear of yours. Really good, and she could probably use your help. We'll need to run it past the girl in question as well, but we think you'd get along.
-[x]And...we kind of just wanted to hang out for a bit. To talk.
-[x]Ask about Yuma.
[X] To Mami:
-[X] Tell her you talked with Masami; she and her girlfriend agreed to look after Ono. So that's a weight off your mind.
-[X] Does she think Sayaka would be happy to finish healing Kyousuke on her own? We Don't want to bail out on her, but we're pressed for time.
-[X] Ask her what she's planning to do today, besides dinner with everybody. Gently remind her that about Oriko needing our help today as soon as we can manage it.

[x]Check up on Kirika too on the way. Make sure she's okay.
-[X] If need be, you could stand to lose sleep tonight. Just once, it should be fine.

Okay so... Try to convince me.

1) Why you think Kyoko would want to leave Kasamino and with Yuma in order to train a new girl? She's gonna state its our problem, and its us who should train her. Mentioning that it's about Sayaka won't make her change her decision.

2) I don't know what exactly you both wish to accomplish with telling Mami about Oriko's issue (either with luxury of details or not) except when trying to tell her to come over. What you wish to gain with pressing on the matter? Of we tell her, let her decide how much she wants to know. If she asks, we tell her more then but with also a little comment to not stress over it.

3) About Sayaka. Do we know about her powerset? Are we sure healing is the focus of her powers? I was honestly not following the updates (work and RPs are making sure of that, and the same I'd happening with all the quests I follow), and can't tell if it's been mentioned lately.

I'd appreciate if someone can deliver this. Both votes has something right but also something wrong in equal parts, and are painted with point of views I don't particularly share. Thanks in advance.

... Okay. To clarify.

I have no particular objection to going and getting Kyouko a clear seed.
I have no objection to a brief conversation with Sayaka and Madoka, if there are specific, important points to be made laid out which cannot be made either later or over telepathy.
I'm in favor of having Sayaka do healing (with our clear seed), if she's willing. It's important practice, and will take a while.

Her training - I think we should defer everything but the very basics, unless someone else (Homura?) can take charge of it for a couple of hours. It's an open-ended task.

I think giving her a more complete picture of the situation is the only way we can justify changing Mami's plans. Avoiding doing so doesn't spare her the details, in any case; it just means she won't have any idea what she's dealing with - what we've done - until she sees it.
1. Brief is going to come over as uncaring for both conversation and training. This is bad for Sayaka.
2. Same goes for not training her properly. We want to recruit her and get her to trust us. If that means making Kirika wait a bit, so be it.
3. No. We can't afford to neglect Sayaka. She's not going to do well alone, she's a lynchpin, and most of all she matters too much for us to let her slip AGAIN. This time as a guca.

No, we don't. We can just say we think Oriko needs help and nudge her. Mami values our opinion. We don't need to give her a horror story to get her to agree.

1. We're paying her for it. That really is all she'd need. She'd probably enjoy thrashing a newbie and getting paid for it as well. Fighting appeals to her, and she's more idealistic than she lets on.
2. I want to just remind Mami Oriko exists and needs help. This thing about "KIRIKA'S SUFFERING AND ORIKO'S DYING" is just hurting Mami for no reason.
3.No and no.

We're asking for help. From her out of the kindness of her heart, or because she might feel indebted because we're solving her Grief Seed issue.

I simply want to state why I think it's important.

Stopping us from making plans for the day that'd stop us from getting back to Oriko's might be another point there.

3) About Sayaka. Do we know about her powerset? Are we sure healing is the focus of her powers? I was honestly not following the updates (work and RPs are making sure of that, and the same I'd happening with all the quests I follow), and can't tell if it's been mentioned lately.
She's got the same magical healing every meguca does. Don't know if she's got anything more than that, but that's all that's necessary with unlimited magic.

Sabrina can't afford to neglect anyone, but it's going to happen to someone regardless of what she or the thread wants. She's spread far too thin.
Then if it's one or the other?

I think Kirika will live if we leave her alone a little longer to teach Sayaka. In that calculation, Sayaka wins every time since for her training and feeling like she matters/didn't make a horrible mistake/not being ignored is basically life or death while it's unlikely to be true for Kirika being upset and still in constant contact with us.

Kirika being unhappy but getting Oriko healed an hour or two later than she would otherwise is a better outcome than Sayaka feeling like we don't care/not getting with the program/not being trained properly at her first ever session as a magical girl.

Ehhhhh Sayaka's a tragedy waiting to happen. We train her tonight. With timestop if need be. If we just let her run around doing what she thinks megucas do she's gonna die in short order.

before too much longer.

I think this should be "as soon as we can manage it." As it is true, but still doesn't indicate a drop everything else to focus on it priority, but indicates that it is more important to us than "before too much longer" sounds.

I think we should try to incorporate the Delegating of the healing as well.

The rest is something I can vote for.

Sorry for getting a bit snappy these past few pages.

Well, I guess that's reasonable. It is something important.

I...don't really like that line at all. It feels jarring. Off. We should be talking about this with Sayaka there, maybe...

Eh. I guess it's harmless. Added.

I don't like the healing deligation line at all. And I don't like bailing on the hospital visit.
...Eh. How are we supposed to pull off the hospital visit with everything else?

The vital thing is training Sayaka and giving her a pep talk/recruiting her as an equal. The worst thing here after neglecting her training is being PERCEIVED as not caring about her training.

Anyway, removed the healing line again. Flip flopping on it but personally I don't like it much.

Hmm...

Okay, so. Either because debt or because the trill of battle. You guys think it would be enough for her to ignore her... Situation with Mami and come over? Both options are valid expect of what makes Kyoko think of us. Of course this may confirm we lend her seeds for a reason other than helping - being that reason, helping others -, but she might hardly complain.

The Mami part is the tricky part, however. I'm leaning towards Ugo's reasoning because it explains enough and without going into unpleasant territory with her. @Onmur 's intention is good as well, but the reason is not enough.

What else would be happening that you want to avoid in order to make room to deal with Oriko? Please remember about what happened the last time we disregarded something. Granted, Sayaka was in trouble but like in chess we got thrown into a difficult choice to make. This time is different and no one is in apparent danget. At least not atm.

... Actually, what time of the day IC is again? Maybe we can with everything.

[x]Check up on Kirika too on the way. Make sure she's okay.
We just checked on Kirika.

Maybe we could try and distract her? It sounds like she's not taking her eyes off Oriko, and that's not good...

It doesn't have to be anything important, just chat. Like,

[] To Kirika: What do you think it's coolest? Black cats, crows, or flying squirrels?

Or something else inane; she can help us pick the shape of our first familiar? :V

Ehhh. Maybe check up isn't the word, but I don't want to ignore her. Basically talk to her and try and distract her.

Changed wording.

Random reminder we need to somehow inform Sayaka about Oriko at some point.

Without Sayaka murdering Oriko, preferably.

Without Sayaka murdering Oriko, prefereably.
Haven't forgotten.

That's one of the reasons I think it's VITAL we give her the talk about what we're doing and why, and get her on-side with us. We NEED to eventually be able to paint Oriko as one of the well-meaning girls we're trying to help and who just went about things the wrong way or Sayaka will hate her forever. We NEED to have a conversation where we tell her that there's no such thing as a truly "evil" magical girl- that they're all people who have something good about them and who need our help.

I have specific plans for our chat with Sayaka and think that spending time with her ASAP and showing that she matters to us is the best way to get a reliable ally out of her and reduce our headaches later.

Mmm... I was hoping next time we visited Kasamino, we'd use travel time for some Grief tinkering/enchantment practice, but we might need the time to breach the Kyouko subject to Mami...
Or you could just never have significant travel time again. Make an Artifact with three properties/behaviors:
  1. Optically transparent shell enclosing Sabrina.
  2. Applies a gravitational field across the interior to match the acceleration of the contents with the acceleration of the shell.
  3. Produces no propagating disturbances in the atmosphere, no matter how it moves.
    1. Alternative: Exterior surface teleports and re-emits impacting molecules, with unchanged momentum and angular momentum (ie the location of the re-emission should be the same as if the molecule had instantly traveled through the Artifact in the direction of its momentum).
The purpose of Property 1 is general usability. The purpose of Property 2 is to remove the "don't splatter the Meguca" limitation on maximum acceleration. The sole purpose of Property 3 is to avoid sonic booms and loud non-shock noises during movement. Directions for use:
  1. Either form the Artifact, or retrieve it from storage.
  2. Get inside.
  3. Accelerate to... I have no idea how fast you want to move. As many km/s as you want? via Grief telekinesis applied to the Artifact.
  4. Travel to destination at ludicrous speed.
  5. Decelerate. Do not run into anything.
  6. Debark.
  7. Dissolve or store the Artifact.
There. Do that whenever, and you should thereafter be equipped to get from anywhere to anywhere else in only a few seconds, without making sonic booms. It uses no conceptually untested abilities, and will pay for itself in time spent by the end of the day you make it, if you should so choose.

...Use Grief to create an Aperture Portal Gun? Which is modified to work on any surface? :V
