Oh, wow.

I applaud whoever archived the past quest events on the planner.
Thanks! Feel free to point out any errors.

Also bleh I think the objection is silly but I took out the gold bar line. What's the point of hanging onto the gold if we're never going to use it to actually do good?
No one is ever going to accept our gold bars as payment, it's a totally impractical form of currency that no one else accepts. If we want to get use out of it we should sell them for cash, in another country if we have too. We haven't done this yet because we haven't even come close to running out of cash.

I mean, in good conscience? We could heist a large bank. They have insurance. Money is far from our biggest problem right now.
I strongly dispute the idea that theft insurance make robbery costless. The point of insurance is to make the burden of some uncommon but expensive event bearable by spreading it out over time, it doesn't make it any less costly.

I feel any meguca that would readily accept gold bars as payment, would later be mad at us when they realize they can't do anything with them. :p

They useless for bater because no one else has any use for them either. What could we possibly do with gold (other than sell it for cash) that we couldn't do with much smaller amounts of cash?

Melt it down into smaller chunks, pawn for cash. once you melt down gold, its basically untraceable. Pawning it in small portions avoids raising any flags.

Well, gold is a good electrical conductor. It is also resistant to oxidation, meaning we can gold-plate stuff that is vulnerable to it help it last longer (there are better materials than gold for that purpose, but well, we got gold right now, so, why not?). If done right, it can also be a pretty good reflector of electromagnetic radiation.

EDIT: Oh, and it is also extremely malleable; you can hammer and stretch is REALLY thin.

Really, just check out the Wikipedia page for gold to see some uses for gold beyond economic and ornamental. There is actually some pretty interesting stuff there.

Gold is expensive. Our unique abilities (easy reshaping of metal, grief disguises, rapid transportation, fluency in a shit-ton of languages) let us hock gold for cash more easily than most other magical girls. This means that selling the gold ourselves and then giving the other girls the equivalent amount of cash instead is more efficient, more convenient, and safer than giving them the gold directly.

This isn't exactly hard.

Can we please agree that we took the gold out of greed for shiny things, rather than out of belief in its potential usefulness?

Oh yes, we totally took it because it was "shiny". The fact it belonged to the Yakuza was merely the reason we didn't stop ourselves from doing so.

Probably the most morally questionable thing we have done after threatening to Witch-out Kirika.

Nothing dubious about it. The Yakuza had gold, which they were going to use for Evil Yakuza Stuff. We took the gold, and now they cannot do Evil Yakuza Stuff, and we can use it for Good Protagonist Stuff, like, er, blinging out Mami's apartment.

That's Chaotic Neutral at best. An act is never Good if it isn't self-sacrificing. Ever. People being wealthy does not make them deserving of the stress of having been stolen from. And stealing the goods directly is worse. As the shopkeepers are likely less wealthy than the insurance brokers and we're affecting their supply, which means they have to raise prices, which punishes everyone.
Well, the bank was just an example. And you can totally be good without being self sacrificing.
Thats not in good conscience.
Alright, then back to my original point: We really aren't hurting for money. Who cares? We have like, no financial obligations and abandoned warehouses are free.
