It's more that being too thankful about it right in front of Mami will piss Ono off. On that note, pissing her off on purpose is a bad idea.Somewhat more understated, since I see some people don't want to be blunt about this.
The likely thought is, how many updates are going to be passed by waiting for her to stop freaking out?
We've got to work with what we have: An angry person that doesn't want to listen to us.
That means we can't inform her of anything whatsoever at this current time; we have, in fact, told her she's dying, but she's not in a state of mind to listen to anything we have to say.
My first vote tries to say things that will appeal to her current mindset: She's angry, she wants to be angry, so saying things that'd make her angrier would have an effect.
How about this, instead:
[] Squeeze Mami's shoulder in thanks.
[] To Ono: "Tell me more."
-[] Let her yell at you, try to get her to throw all her frustration at you, while you can keep an eye on her Soul Gem.
-[] Prod her along; mention how rude you've been to her, from your first meeting when you all pulled her into this gray world and bound her, then forced her to make a desicion without much of a choice; remind her how you found yourself more important things to do rather than attend your meeting, so you simple postponed it on a five-minutes notice; tell her how you really want everybody to do things your way, simply because you think it's best, and expect the same out of her.
Somewhat more understated, since I see some people don't want to be blunt about this.
This would be the less aggresive approach to leading Ono into a mindset where she will listen to us. She's angry, so what we can do is use that anger, feed it a little, let it burn through Ono's energy and will, until she's too tired to be angry. Until she can't hold on to it anymore.
Then she'll consider other ideas, but not before.
I don't think we can do anything but weathering it out.
Well, multiple updates of effective negative progress are succeeding in testing mine, that's for sure.
If we haven't gotten any progress, we should change tracks for sure.Well, multiple updates of effective negative progress are succeeding in testing mine, that's for sure.

I know that I don't want Menge to die, but an attitude like her's just rubs me in all the wrong ways, I want to change that attitude so that dealing with her is less painful for all of us.
The quick way is always appealing. Not only appealing, it's also often wrong.Oh, I don't like her attitude either, but I consider it understandable.
And yeah, I'm not angry at her. She has every right to be reacting this way.
I want to shock her out of her anger. As such, Mura's vote appeals to me. That said, I also want to acknowledge that she has every right to react this way. I want to prove that we are actually interested in her as a person. I want her to feel valued rather than pitied or like canon fodder. I also want to show her that we mean business and to give evidence that we're not lying.
[X] Smile at Mami, and nod in appreciation.
[X] If interrupted, allow her to finish, then continue.
[X] Ono, you have every right to to hate me and want me gone. But I cannot leave you alone when it'll kill you.
[X] It's time for you to learn how fragile we are.
[X] Give Homura your gem and ask her to leave with it until Ono has had a chance to check my body. Then to return
She isn't ranting right now. She's glaring. And no. At this point I don't think weathering it out is worthwhile.
Not as a joke. While we're not proving that meguca die when the Gem breaks, we can show her just how badly Soul Gem corruption affects her, and that should be bad enough. Yes, I mean stuffing her Soul with grief until she gets the point. Ugly.Just to play devil's advocate here, but is that really true? Remember that it won't just end after we tell her the truth about soul gems. We have to clean up the fallout and convince her to let us help her. Letting her get what she's feeling all out in the open will probably help her and get us a lot more information and detail about what she thinks of us which might make it easier for us to befriend her. After we tell her about soul gems, there is still a good chance that she'll still demand for us to get lost and perhaps try to deal with it on her own.
I don't really mind Muramasa's vote, but I also don't feel particularly impatient here. This isn't like the situation with Sendai and Akiko.
Seeing how this is going, she probably won't even believe us about the soul gems and that she'd die. We'll probably end having to prove it or something.
The quick way is always appealing. Not only appealing, it's also often wrong.
If we want to do this quick and dirty, just give Ono an Emptied Seed, note down the basic instructions for it, and tell her we'll check on her once a month to cleanse it; otherwise we don't want to see her, and if she's caused trouble or doesn't have the Seed anymore, we'll kick her out of the city, and black list her with all the Magical Girl groups we know.
Then we leave, ask Oriko to check if Ono's gonna cause trouble every other day, and don't worry about her any more.
...
Best Buddy's words on my signature. If we can't do that, we're doing everything wrong.
She just tried to attack us. We're not leaving Mami alone with her. Specially not that way. She won't like this.Sixth, To show her trust and willingness to be vulnerable in front of her, to show that we do not consider her an enemy, but someone we wish to trust
I can't support torturing her, any more than we already are. Ever.
It would just validate everything she's said and thinks about us.
We don't need to prove anything at the moment, or defend ourselves against what she's said. She is opposed to us on an emotional basis, not a logical one.
I know. I like to keep the bad options in mind. Even if they're so bad as to be non-options.Yeah no the torture option is bad. Kind of... what's the word? Evil? And counterproductive, if you're a pragmatist.
I'm the one who proposed it as a serious option.I was more referring to the fact that a soul gem has your soul. Definitely wasn't advocating torture, even as a joke.
If she knows, and chooses the path that kills her, we're kind of justified on whatever forceful option we want, that'll keep her alive.Guys,Those plan are all well thought (Even if the best is the "Pin her to the wall")
But....
What if the point of ours Sabrinaplomacy is wrong?
I mean, if Ono know about how dangerous is being a Magical Girl all what is our plan B?
Evil is the correct word for it, yes.Yeah no the torture option is bad. Kind of... what's the word? Evil? And counterproductive, if you're a pragmatist.
She just tried to attack us. We're not leaving Mami alone with her. Specially not that way. She won't like this.
Also, all this would only prove anything if Ono was in a state of mind to believe us.
Really, we could probably vote to pretend to fall asleep, and get the same result.
I know. I like to keep the bad options in mind. Even if they're so bad as to be non-options.
Still doesn't change that, considering magic and how we hold the dominant position here, it could all be a trick and Megane doesn't have a reason to believe anything we're trying to show. And she doesn't want to believe or listen to us, so it won't work.I'm willing to switch Mami and Homura's roles around if you think that'd be better.
Also, we wouldn't gt the same result. The intention is to let her find that we don't have a pulse.
And again, the idea is to o something so shocking, it opens her mid to explanations and puts her in a state of mind to believe us.
She's not going to believe us without evidence. This is the evidence.Still doesn't change that, considering magic and how we hold the dominant position here, it could all be a trick and Megane doesn't have a reason to believe anything we're trying to show. And she doesn't want to believe or listen to us, so it won't work.
