The PSP game disagrees.

However the alternative is Sayaka and Hitomi having a fight in the school yard and Hitomi becoming Homura's limpet. So yea let's do it.
Wait, Sayaka/Hitomi can use magic in PSP without contracting then?

Also, that alternative. Miss "girls can't love girls"? Really?

It gives me another thought: Who would be most hilarious person to get to heal Kyosuke?

You say, as if I was providing a metric that was any less vague than Kyubey's. I wasn't.
Er, no, I mean, where does he say that Karmic potential is tied to potential suffering she will create? The only place I recall him talking about Karmic potential is when he was talking about the loops, which as far as I recall are mostly about Homura's looping turning Madoka into a central figure of the world or something. There's nothing about suffering in there. It's been awhile since I last watched the series, but I'm pretty sure a detail such as that would stick out in my mind.

Each loop is 6 weeks: March 16 to April 30.
Blarg. I was assuming exactly one month. Never did have the dates down.

Anyway, outside of healing him to prevent a blueberry contract, why do we give a shit about Kyosuke? It's not like he's a terrible person, but he's perfectly happy just playing his violin and being left the hell alone. He'll be just fine if we heal him and proceed to ignore the hell out of him. Best not to draw him into the circle of people to be exposed to the meguca life, since he'll never be in danger of contracting.

Hitomi's "Girls can't love girls" speech comes across as over acting on the hopes that Sayaka really wouldn't want Kyosuke, or straight-up denial, really.

Also, let's get Kirika to do it. It'll be hilarious.

Er...I didn't say CREATE (or if I did, I sure as hell didn't mean to, sorry); He claims they bear potential equal to the despair they'll experience or be responsible for, and directly brings up the analogy of a commoner and a queen, because a queen bears the weight of so much more karmic responsibility on her shoulders, which Kyubey measures in grief payloads basically.

Madoka's power thus seems to like fucking SQUARE exponentially with each loop because her fate is the only one that matters in the entire goddamn world, period, thanks to Homura invalidating everyone else's ability to shape the future.

That was the route where Hitomi actually beats Sayaka in a fight because of self-defense training, right? That was hilarious.

Right so let's do it.

"Sayaka, I have a broken ar-AH!"
"Ha, I WIN! Kyusiko miiiine~!"

Oh god no.

Hitomi seemed to be joking.

Okay so... my vote forgot to take into account the witch book thats in one of our grief orbs.

Ooops.

*cough*

Anyway votes been adjusted accordingly.

"Homura, do you have another copy of that book?"
"..."
"See, I kind of sort of accidentallyfedthebooktoKyubeyanditsgonenowpleasedon'tshootme..."
"That's OK. By the way, are you a contortionist?"

"N-no..."

"Hhn. That's unfortunate. Because you are going in after it. Do tell me what's on the other side of...Kyubey's backside, I've always been curious."

*Munches on popcorn*
Keep doing... whatever the hell it you're doing. It's entertaining to watch. For me, anyway.

Meanwhile...

"I wonder how Homura Akemi composed this journal. However, it's information seems pretty interesting...based on the sketches."

"..."

"Her penmanship could use some work, I can't read a lick of this shit. Boku wakanai yo."

Actually, what would be cool would be an option in Firn's vote counter to automatically start counting after the last post that has a threadmark on it. Finding where to start counting votes from is always annoying.
I could, in principle. Without too much trouble, too. The problem is people thread marking omakes and the like.
Hmm, I wonder if Xon (he wrote the Threadmarks plugin, right?) also made it accessible in the web API (XenForo does have a web API, right?)
It does, but SV doesn't have it implemented. Apart from the standard http get/post and stuff, anyway, but that goes without saying. :V

Hey @Firnagzen. Just wanted to say how freaking brilliant how you handled Sabrina's personality with the "gimmick" of this quest. Taking the "usual" approach and attitude of SV (inherited from SB) and turning them into legit character strengths and flaws

  • Our LOLzy Internet humor, and Sabrina has a endearing, adorable air-headedness and snark
  • Our tendency to jump into the plot, and Sabrina has a strong desire to help, sometimes bordering on or crossing a hero complex (character strength and flaw)
  • With our usual voting style (long votes, usually low on conditionals), Sabrina tends to be a bit too forceful, preachy, "I know best" attitude (a legit character flaw)
  • Forums rightfully calling us out on this, Sabrina calls herself out on this and realizes what she is doing is something she needs to work on (which puts her ahead of, well, MOST of the PMMM chars). (Self introspection, a character strength)

I just gotta say, this is pretty cool how you've handled this, and I am glad to now be a part of this now. :)

@Mister Bad Guy: What do we gain from including Kyosuke in our circle of friends?
1) Becoming Puella Magi looks less attractive, since there won't be a case of "all my friends are puella".
2) For those who are Puella, they are more closer to the regular people who get eaten by familiars and witches by having common interests with them and also interaction in that sphere of life.
3) We've been talking about Mami making friends for how long? (Also, regarding Mami healing in specific, if Mami can get over her crush of Sabrina I consider it a success - and if she can't, it still works as friendship.)

I mean, sure Kyosuke has his issue in liking Violin instead of gossiping, but that's not all there is to him - or he wouldn't be friends with Sayaka and Hitomi (+how familiar is Madoka with him)?
Not being in danger of contracting is a feature, not a bug.
Also, let's get Kirika to do it. It'll be hilarious.
This plan has Cute Kirika in it. Also confessions. With violin serenades. Also potentially karmic, under redemption/training excuse for healing.

That is pretty hilarious and deserving of an omake.
