Could you give us some arguments our advisors/merchants have for the various companies? As is I have no idea regarding the benefit differences between Monsoon Sea, Hung Sea, and Far East.

[] Ymaryn Crown Bank (1x) -> Centralized banking
[] Monsoon Sea Trading Company (1.2x) -> Not!Indian Ocean trading
[] Greater Khem Trading Company (1x) -> Not!African coast trading
[] Ymaryn-Khemtri Canal Company (1.1x) -> Improve Khemetri infrastructure for profit, maybe one day make a Not!Suez
[] Hung Sea Trading Company (1x) -> Trade with China
[] Far East Trading Company (0.8x) -> Trade with Inca
[] North-East Fur Trading Company (0.8x)[/QUOTE] -> Further expansion into Not!Siberia

Man that sounds juicy.

@Academia Nut what do we know about Nohon and Hung? Are they expansionist in the northward direction?

Hung seem most interested in securing their northern borders but not really entering the steppes, and also pushing into the Undikus kingdoms directly bordering them.

The Nohon are busy attempting to hold down the Chesun (Korea) after invading and realizing that taking on the Hung was a bad idea but they already had the territory anyway...

They may also be doing some colonizing in far eastern Siberia and possibly into the Not!Americas, as they keep finding new reasons to kick members of their warrior and peasant classes somewhere else.

Huh. So what I'm getting from this is that on Not!Earth, Not!South-American is the "far east" instead of the "far west"?
My guess is the Vortuga will massacre us in the Atlantic.

[X] North-East Fur Trading Company (0.8x)

Siberia get. My ideal outcome for this vote is:
Primary: Crown Bank
Secondary: Khemetri Canal Company
Secondary: Fur Trading Company

I got what they are. I'm just stumped as to why we should go with one over the other, especially when it comes to the differences between companies that would be employed East of us, what with me not being a geoeconomic expert from an alternate universe that actually knows the benefits and difficulties each of those are probably entailing. Some time in the past you would sometimes tell us what our priests, governors or advisors thought of one idea or the other. I was hoping for something similar.
Also, how is the Patriarch of Gylruv passing this time? Any grand plans or schemes he hasn't kept secret from us?

Central Bank is unlikely to increase the amount of resources you directly gain, but can make things much more efficient.
Anything where you have to sail against Not!Europe is going to be risky, so all of the sea trading companies have risks, with the longer you sail having a higher risk, but also potentially more payoff.
The canal company will most benefit a neighbour and is likely to have start up issues, but could potentially make your trading partner very rich and very happy with you, giving you cheap and easy access to a number of very profitable goods.
The fur trading company will likely have low returns for moderate risk, but will accelerate the colonization of the Not!Siberia.

The Patriarchs have largely been trying to consolidate central control and colonize the eastern forests and steppes.

Just because you disagree with someone doesn't mean you can call them inexperienced

Looking from my lack of profile picture, aren't you :V

HEY YOU ARE INEXPERIENCED, so I AM RIGHT. :V

This just shows how you didn't intend to debate it instead you try to make my point moot by calling me inexperienced, which shows your true intentions of writing that, which is to moot my point by accusing me inexperienced. :)
because I been in sv for quite some time and been in this quest since it's fucking start thank you :)

Not to mention, You didn't exactly refute my point that black sheep's western and Northern Territory is prone to rebellion and their hold over them is shaky.

Which means we are losing access to India and China soon regardless, which is why we should try to secure it. That is why we must seize it now.

Sigh, these kind of purposeful ignorance and calling people inexperienced instead of good debating that led to the previous great salt and thread lock.

People calling each other stupid was what led to the previous lock, and what I was referring to. Your ~300 message count supports the interpretation.

If you'll recall the post you originally replied to, it mentioned that the Mughals needed help avoid collapse. That doesn't mean that the collapse should be forced. The reasons why it should not be forced are in both the original and the very post you are here accusing of not engaging you.

Just to keep us from becoming too monofocused, since putting all of your eggs in one basket is usually a bad idea.

So, the world is looking brighter than our timeline, indeed. There are multiple empires that are prosperous, stable, and trading, while the Europeans' effort are largely being opposed at every turn(except North America), in particular, Voguta.

Additionally, there's no "Great Divergence", less slavery and less European colonization and less extractive behaviors.
