Yeah, I really want that Spirit Channel march. Hopefully Txolla doesn't settle too much of it before we can found it...

It's a level two city which means it need a level two bath to ensure our artisans don't stink.

Anyway: List of projects needed to be completed:

1) Redshore bath (3/6)
2) Redshore Level Two Market (0/6)
3) Level One Temple (0/3)
4) Level Two Temple (0/6)

So, we need 18 progress in about two turn.

With 5 infrastructure, we whittle it down to 13 progress. And then another 5 to get to 8 progress.

Yeah, it seems likely we will get another 2 infrastructure policies from our Free Cities to finish all the infrastructure quess, and that isn't including the Great Hall annex we need to build every turn.
As I mentioned, if we can get the same amount of progress if we delay a little, why not push for a full Influence and full Econ tank now? If we have to put in work anyway...

The issue is how short of a deadline we have on the two quests. To get the same value as 2 infrastructures now, we'd need +4 infrastructures next turn. And that's just to equal, we'd need even more if we want to actually get enough to pass the quests.
With only 4 city candidates, we'd be stuck having to swap policies in next turn anyway.
Also the plague is still ongoing, we really don't want all of our cities to reform and make another new plague while we're still dealing with the aftereffects of this one.

Also we're already tanking EE pretty hard with the currently winning vote.

Found March - Sometimes you need an extra buffer between you and hostile powers, or a place to stash excess warriors. Current Target: Spirit Channel
*S: -5 Martial, 2 Econ transfer, founds march to take independent martial actions
...
Raise Army
- More men can be inducted into the ranks of the warriors every year and not face major food shortfalls
* S: -2 Econ, -3 Wealth, +5 Martial, +1 Culture, potential additional effects
I'm still not sure I get how all the game's mechanics work, so let me know if I have this wrong.

But is seems as though so long as we have 5 6 or more Martial, 3 Wealth, and 4 5 or more Econ, we can do this thing next phase for two secondary actions.

Are we going to have those stats? How could I tell for myself?

Look at the front page and you'll find our stat. I doubt we will found a March midturn, because we would be left militarily weak again with the exception of the Banner Companies.

Best way to tell for yourself is sadly kinda arduous, but its done by looking at the tally(I recommend NetTally as it is cleaner) and then totaling up the action costs and our per turn income and our starting stats are on the front page.

We should in theory have the Martial, not sure about the Wealth and Econ, I haven't taken the time to math it out.

[X][Main] Great Dam
[X][Secondary] Trade Mission - Forhuch
[X][Secondary] Influence Subordinate - Tinriver Colony
[X][Secondary] Expand Econ
[X][Secondary] Palace Annex: Great Hall Expansion
[X][Secondary] Change Policy - Passive (Forestry + Forestry -> Infrastructure + Infrastructure)
[X][Guild] Plant Poppies
[X][Guild] Plant Poppies x2
[X][Guild Secondary] Expand Snail Cultivation

Projected income is 11(poppies + snail cultivation + sec snail cultivation) - 4(trade mission + influence) = 7 + 4[+1], which leaves us with 12 wealth, or half of our current wealth stat.

We would not be weak if, as I posted, we also took the Raise Army action. It would replace the lost martial, no?

Thanks. I was hoping it'd be simpler than that, but there you go.

It's not much Econ or Wealth, but I understand it would be competing with other worthy causes.

So long as we don't waste time and resources chasing pointless relationships with the West when we can be building toward something meaningful in the East like this, that going to have to be fine.

Yeah, this is generally why there are so many cries of "OH gah, the action bloat!".

Depends, one of our most important influences is going to be done this update it looks like(though on the one hand I sort of agree with you about the West). So that's one big thing off the list. Most of the competitors at that point are Build Roads, and Docks I think.

However, looking it over I realized we can't actually do both next phase. This is because we usually only get one main reaction in the mid turn during normal operations, which cannot be split. Uvothyn was a bro and gave us three mains because he is an Admin Hero. So you'd have to do a Main Raise Army next phase, and then a Sec Found March on the update after that.

That sounds like too much Martial sitting around. It seems that it would be better to wait another phase and do both as Secondaries.

Why are we shifting our two passives from Forestry to Infrastructure, by the way? I think I missed the conversation on that.

In large part, it's in anticipation of Repeated Actions being added, which will let us generate forests automatically in a better way. Together with our serious need for the infrastructure policies, it makes the switch quite attractive.

Nah, like George says the Martial we gain would be safe. We'd be sitting at 16/37 {36/39}. It's close though, so we might want to unhook one of the Mercs, which is a free action.
Not sure if you know yet but the caps for our stats are also on the front page.

Banner Companies will all be 24 martial together when fully restored to their strength. 27 / 3 = 9 non-primary martial, which means altogether, we can have 33 martial.

A secondary raise army will be safe although we will be dangerously close to our peak unless we unhook a banner company.

Yeah, but that won't be happening next phase. They may all gain one Effectiveness though, so it'd be 16/37 {39/39} post the Main Raise Army unless we unhook one. And we can't take a Secondary Raise Army next update, because we can't split reaction actions, though if we could instead of a Main we would be safe.

Actually, I think they'll be at 30 Martial, not 24. On the stat page, their effectiveness is out of 10, not 8.

Tally still looks ridiculous.

Anyway relevant stats
Economy 15/27 [+4-1]
-Econ Expansion 24 [+1-5] [Overcrowding Min: -4]
Wealth 4/22 [+1]

Guild actions are Plant Poppies, Expand Snail Cultivation, and Expand Snail Cultivation. -3 Econ and +7 Wealth, -3 Econ and +3 Wealth, -1 Econ and +1 Wealth

Economy 8
Wealth 15

Main is an obvious Dam. -2 Econ

Economy 6
Wealth 15

Leading secondaries are Change Policy, Expand Economy, Influence Tinriver, Trade Mission, and Palace Expansion. +5 Econ, -2 Econ and -2 Wealth, -2 Wealth, -2 Econ.

Economy 7
Wealth 11

Passive income +1 Wealth + 4 Econ

Economy 11
Wealth 12

...So by our own actions, we are not good on Wealth. Balance Policy still has to take their turn and they are willing to use up stats that are not 1. Only guarantee there is that they will do a double Expand Econ

Economy 21
Wealth ??

Which barely gives us the two cities...if they do not use any Econ. Highly unlikely.

So no, we are not tanking. There is no guarantee that we will get two cities or even stop from losing a point in Stability. :/

EDIT: Okay better than I imagined, but now confirmed that we will not get two cities.
