[X] Whoever surrenders may join the People (-1 Stability, -1 Legitimacy, -1 RA, 2 temp Econ damage, -2 EE, +2 Light Cavalry, Additional Disease Roll, ???)

Now, normally I'm all for screwing over the nomads, but the political leadership is gone and we just have more plague victims to treat as well as a better chance to understand the animal reservoir.

We also set a precedent that we accept surrender no matter how much we hate you and how undeserving we think you are. Which encourages more surrenders when our enemies see they are outmatched. They can expect that if the Ymaryn forgave those bloody nomads, they can accept their surrender as well.

Also, AFAIK we are now entering the main turn where our super awesome King of Awesomeness can start getting shit back on track in terms of Stability and medical care without the bloody Patricians demanding more pony.

I'm also impressed that our Banners are still mostly operational. The Blood Rain good utterly mauled, but the other two are still fine. Which is odd. @Academia Nut The Blood Rain has gotten it's ass kicked twice now. Is there some general problem with the Companies composition that has become obvious after two debacles or were they just really unlucky to get the brunt of the enemies attention twice?

And while the loss of the Thunder Speakers is horrific, lets try and look at the positive side: It saves us a lot of Influence Actions!

...okay. that was awful.

(Also, some people will hate me for saying it but: Mountain Horse is up for grabs now if anyone is interested. Ahahahaha. Lets see after the Dam and Canal....)

This does mean that we do not have to set our policy to Offensive. Instead our king is likely to do Stability Boosters himself and leave policy on Balanced.

Granted, it was technically only winnable because they also started to die en masse, but I suppose some of our practices transferred when they captured slaves and warriors. We needed to lose enough to have losses, but win enough not to get mauled before they could start dying.
So what you're saying is, even when we lose, we still win? :p

Integrating the Nomads leaves us with a 1 Stab buffer, but we do have a Genius Admin... and it's not like any other choice is going to win, so

Anyone notice our RA has gone up to FIFTEEN?
It was mentioned in text as the Patrician's emergency measures to keep the plague down, and our econ damage low. Pretty smart of them, honestly.
Somewhat fortunately the patricians had decided to throw themselves whole hog into supporting the priests in their efforts to alleviate the disease and starvation. While there were assuredly selfish reasons of pure personal survival and even less honourable expectations of praise afterward, it did warm the heart to see that sort of support.

Disease was always a possibility for them, resisting them was a calculable risk.

Sit by the fire! It's FUCKING WARM!

Good lord, this was ridiculous luck.

Now we need "Nomadic negaverse" omake about it.

*nod*
And that's why nomads are terrifying.
Despite their silly disease rolls they managed to hit, like, all the Lowlands. Not in one turn even - in one phase. While contested by us and vassals.
And wiped Thunder Speakers in process, mind.
They were also one clan at 8 martial as well...we need to start worshipping walls then trees

I think we might want to get our Stab up ASAP before we check upon our colonies and find out that they have gone Rogue
It's likely that our king just doesn't know. He has ordered a complete shutdown of everything, after all, so at best he can get an occasional message to them, and even then it's a long and laborious process.

On the bright side, as I mentioned before, with the plague ravaging the countryside so much, and that meaning there's immense desire for iron tools to improve labour productivity, our colonies on the north and western shores of the Ymaryn Sea.

This does mean we should think very carefully before burning Legimacy, although I can see that we won't.

Also, when news spreads of the gods giving a massive shit kicking to the nomads when all hope seemed lost to bail out the core Ymaryn, I suspect that our colonies will have an extra reason to stay loyal.

Beyond that, with us lacking a march, I wonder how we'll resettle the nomads.
