Should we assassinate the prophet or has he realized we are in a bubble and inflation is rising so he wants us to implement austerity?

I'm tentatively voting for this option because the place he arose from sounds like the perfect place where the negative effects of massive wealth is felt but too distant to feel any of the positive effects, his area may need a GP to represent their interests nationwide. This is also may be a hint that we need to increase our interconnectivity (more roads). Besides we have a trade policy so we should gain that wealth right back.

So, how does the Naval stat work with overflows? Martial can't overflow, is it like that?

Also guys we might be having issues soon because uh, we have a lot of stats coming due next turn, Hoo boy.

My instinct is to ignore the prophet at first, both because I'm greedy and want the GA to continue and because I want to see what he does. Next turn, maybe a proclaim glory if he grows influential enough?

Bro he's the Genius Mystic that we voted in.

[X] [Prophet] Ignore him (???)
e- Having read the argument, I want to see him wreck face first, so switching to Ignore.

Let the prophet cook for a bit.

Study Metal, to take advantage of our genius
Expand Forest, as we need 4 More within the next two years and this gives us two.

Bro he's the Genius Mystic that we voted in.
That does not necessarily mean he is a good thing. Sunk Costs man.

So? Cwird and Rulwyna showed that Heroes could reform our society in a way we did not want so what makes a Genuis Mystic(beyond being OP) differrent? This may be a symptom of our underinvestment, lack of sufficient temples and interconnectivity. It could also be him seeing inflation rising but our leaders not noticing because there's so much gold pouring in. All in all Heroes/Geniuses will differ from our vision if we aren't careful.

Next turn, we need to raise our shield up to maximum with a Proclaim Glory regardless.

Voting without investigating what the hell he is saying is the height of lunacy.

He preached of the nobility of the pursuit of the Universal Truth and how it was being perverted by priests and patricians who were more concerned with the accumulation of material comforts and to trick and confuse the people with sophisticated but False teachings. While initially small in number, the voices of those who listened to this new prophet soon grew loud as they picked up his warning:

Hmmmm he seems to be talking about this Universal Truth.

We seem to be getting Platonism and Aristolism from this guy if I don't miss my guess, with a dash of asceticism likely generated by the Cynicism for extra flavor.

Patricians (4) - Objective: Distribute Land within 2 turns. Success: +1 Stability

Hmm, not sure if we want this to succeed. Theres better uses for Centralization.

Guild (3) - Objective: Lead in a textile type good within 2 turns. Success: Free random technology, Failure: -4 Wealth

Not too hard, but we don't know how much Cotton we need here.

Traders (3) - Objective: Have Naval Power above 5 within 3 turns. Success: Free tech advance

Well, Naval Power 1 revealed. Kek.

Yeomen (3)- Objective: Have 8 or more forest slots unoccupied within 2 turns. Success: +2 Econ

We need 4 more forest slots. Passive policy will provide 3. We need another Main Forest.

Priests (2)- Objective: Build an Observatory within 1 turns. Failure: -1 RA, -1 Legitimacy

Expensive, and we WANT to lose RA

Urban Poor (1)- Objective: Have another faction fail a quest within 1 turns. Failure: -2 Stability

Enjoy your spite and salt guys~

What to do about this new prophet?
[] [Prophet] Embrace his new philosophies (-10 Wealth, -1 RA, -1 Legitimacy, -2 Stability, removes Rule of Gold value, ???)
[] [Prophet] Ignore him (???)
[] [Prophet] Exile him (+1 RA, ???)
[] [Prophet] Silence him (+1 RA, +1 Stability, ???)

Embracing them would end the golden age though. Keep that in mind.

Trying to see if he gives us ONE turn to raise Stability first.
Lets see how much more Cotton we need. Forest should be fine if we plant forest once next turn.
And we got the guy who can breakthrough to Steel. Going for it.

I am afraid that ignoring the prophet will lead to our region developing a cult, and a cult that has a very strong dislike for one of the pillars of Ymaryn lifestyle.

I think we should either exile him or accept his teachings, leaving him running around freely is where he can cause the most damage (and killing him is both a dick move, waste of resources and might raise Religious Authority to levels only Omegahugger wants).

Something else to be aware of is, if we accept the prophet, it brings our Legitimacy down to one. That is not something we want to risk on mode of government. That way leads civil war.

When I binge read this, the last time you guys got a golden age...it was the mad metalsmith that gave Iron to The People on the same turn as getting a Golden Age.

Might be something of similar importance.
This time however, we have time. Since he is a Mysticism Genius, it should not be too difficult for his own ideas to spread on their own. Ignore is not killing him. Accpeting is rushing his acceptance and burning Golden Age for it.

My hope is to get aallllllllll that studying done, I'm honestly not sure about the cotton. I'd be okay with it passing, though I think we can Guild it next turn.

Not sure. Gonna have to think about that.
