Everyone, All the geniuses are good options. I think we should just keep it random and save on Culture. We don't need to specify. I would rather not make Red Shore a Free City due to the troubles is has until we make sure the Shadow King doesn't exist.
 
Yeah, and the Khemetri are probably our only local competitor for the title. If they've only got two True Cities, tops, they're not in the running.

Primalshadow was addressing my concern about us hitting our subordinate cap with the idea that if we took another free city for the last spot we'd get the legacy though, so wouldn't be maxed like I was assuming.

So, what I am attempting with this:

DIPLOMACY! ALL OF IT!

I still want to reduce the shenanigans the HK can send our way, and bringing these minors into our warm and scaly hugs is a nice bonus. So, I figure a Diplo Genius, who I want to see what is like just like @ctulhuslp, and trading missions will help. This course will also do subtle pushes on Nemesis Fashion, different from the GA stuff. Do I expect diplo annexation right off the bat. Nah. But getting the HK cordial with us will alleviate much of the concerns I have with them. I'm thinking their negaverse is just waiting to die and is super salty, so lets make nice and reduce the inter-universal salt content.

On FC's I'd rather just dip our toesies in. Not much other reasons, Redshore is fine as a FC but I really do want to test the things out. I'd expect narrative issues and mid turn decisions from picking two at once and I'd like to avoid that.

The PttS should get us to 7/7-8 actions and I figure that is enough to complete it. TorTor-chan is awesome.

Oh also, Tech will stay at Red 18 so GA is fine.

E: Also also AN has spoken and said a Diplo Genius could also fork into Intrigue, which is hella good for tamping down on HK shenanigans.

Anyone remember what schedule our forest policy was on? Are we at 17 slots yet? The way midturns mix with mains under our admin hero and how it's never on the policy line have caused me to lose track.

What possible corruption issues? The demographic issues that caused the initial corruption problems are ending, and we have no reason to think that the Shadow King will be more convenienced by there being local administration than they are by there being a hideously overworked centralized administration that will overlook the hypothetical corruption because of the sheer amount of information they need to go over.

Weird.

Ymaryn catamarans should look weird. This is because the design started as slapping longship hulls together, built using the Clinker method. So long and thin with a large deck over the two hulls and lanteen triangle sails. Really fast, really stable, and darn near unsinkable. For some perspective longship variants made it to america and the south pacific catamarans were used to travel thousands of miles over the open ocean and could get big.

When we finally develop ranged siege weapons like the ballista they can be mounted on these catamarans, which means we will have really fast, really stable, firing platforms.

Trelli is probably a peer on quality of ship building and in their particular tree, but out numbered and out manuevered and soon to be out teched.

Didn't we not make it a free city because we believe it would make things worse? You could be right, I just hope whoever takes over would be competent. I don't really trust the Shadow King.
