So, people, before voting, what do you think about voting for pastures as a compromise between food and preparation to war?
Because I do not really want to vote before discussion.
It won't have enough of an effect to matter in the war, not unless we paired it up with Build War Carts. The problem is that we need at least one pure Economy action which means either Expand Fishing or Step-Farms.

Expanding pastures would allow more horses for our chariots (remember that we're switching over to the new design). It'll give us food as well as prepare us for building more chariots. If we completely switch over to chariots, we'll be able to catch his forces much more easily.

Oh, and sorry for kinda almost triple post:
@Academia Nut , how many more turns left to finish fighting blight?
They won't provide as much food back home, but they improve logistics and warfighting capabilities.

Well, yes, this is a compromise: not as good at feeding as step farms or fishery (presumably), not as good at war things as expanding warriors or war wagons, but offers a bit to both, while giving a tiny bit more of manure for Black Soil.

I fe like we should expand our warriors or charriets and take the hit to our economy anyway.

We will burn at the very least 1 Economy this turn, maybe 2. We are likely to go into negatives as it is even without pouring resources into this.
Of course, losing the war will tank economy much more, so maybe you have a point.

Well losing the war will likely mean we get pillaged and fucked and probably lose the game but ya.

If we formalize leaving our enemies behind, it could lead to them being rescued and spilling information on our movements.

I feel that we shouldn't ask for aid from the Confederacy. It'll strain our economy past the breaking point (which we can't afford obviously). If we last just this turn without starving then the Blight will be fixed and our economy will rocket back to safety. If fight by our self and choose to expand pastures it won't tank our economy and will still provide more horses for the chariots.

[X] Formalize breaking and exposure

We are tree people. Therefore we will break there bodies and decorate are trees with them!

As for the action? Way to much debate fermenting for me to take a stance for now, so blegh.

can we make the punishment putting them in the Black Soil? Then use our mysticism Elders to spread the story that we're eating their souls?

Nope. All of these punishments are calibrated to things the People would actually accept. The People do not like the handling of dead bodies, especially not long dead ones. Suggesting that would probably trigger a riot, at least among the half-exiles.

Pillage us? If anything, the Northern Nomads are suffering as much as our warriors, and our warriors are only the expeditionary force. The one who has the most to worry is the Northern Settlers, who are suffering the blunt of the attack, and they're one who's feeding our warriors.

Were guaranteed to lose our economy to zero, we need to expand our military so were most likely going into negatives

I thought about [] Weighting and sea disposal but I think there would be logistical problems with this method

We need help, but I don't think that we want to give the Dead Priest too big an opportunity

Getting too deep into negative economy can do the similar things, I feel.
Of course, negative Economy -> Stability hit -> Pioneers -> lower Centralization for Economy boost, so...

We don't eat them directly. Instead, we erase them from the everything.

Look at the list of traits.
We are fundamentally just. We are totally okay with killing the killers, but not with cruelty, and 'eat their souls' is a cultural thing more fitting to the likes of DP.

If we expand our military we'll have even more people to feed that aren't making food. Why should we expand our warriors? If we take the Expand Pastures and don't ask for help from the WC it'll keep us from starving.

Well we have no choice, were going to lose income No Matter what. The blight will take us down at least One, any war effort is going to take another 1

As I said, were guaranteed to go down no matter what, and this horde is going to fuck with our trade

Kill them, defile the bodies and raze the villages.
