...how is he a demon exactly? He's been considered a trickster god mainly.
He isn't a demon yet. But given a few more generations without a prominent place of spiritual worship and he will turn into our Adversary equivalent.

He makes people uncomfortable, is different from all of our other spirits (and is thus Other), his nature is to challenge the established order, and his boons are not as applicable to the average life as his curses.

Hey @Academia Nut can we get physical descriptions of Fythhagyna and Mathulmyn since we have not seen them before in quest?

I have this really wack image of Fythagyna as a woman having multiple arms all wielding different farming tools.

That's only going to happen if Trickster is chosen, as otherwise he will be seen as a central part of our people anyway. Saying that he's going to be turned into a demon and seen as an Adversary is disingenuous and wrong.

Picking Gwy and Gyo will emphasise the whole "everyone is related" thing, which makes us less hostile to the concept of "other people who are not us". Upgrading Cosmopolitan Acceptance would be a good thing, the most easily identifiable benefit of doing so means less Stability loss from bringing people in. Divine Stewards is fine as it is, but CA still has that bit where there's only a chance of not suffering from a Stability loss when taking in the minimum amount of people.

So is anyone else wondering what the '???' under Strategic Resources in the trade status is?
Yeah I am too... It might be brass but... we know the Thunder Horse have that so...

Hmm... maybe Tin? Yeah that may work as strategic since it is needed for Bronze and the other ingredient for Bronze, Copper, is also on there.

That's terrifying. We need to make friends who have that and steal all of their shinnies.

How many people think that Gwy and Gyo are the King of Gods?

Very few. Although worthy of veneration, they are seen as being somewhat distant from common events as their significance is more primordial, although in some communities that place greater emphasis on ancestral veneration they become the ancestors of ancestors and thus have authority through being the most elder of spirits.

Hey @Academia Nut can we get physical descriptions of Fythhagyna and Mathulmyn since we have not seen them before in quest?

Hmmm... Fythhagyna is usually depicted as a woman of about late twenties to early thirties holding a sickle in one hand and a fistful of wheat in another. The degree of dress varies from place to place, as well as whether or not she is pregnant and/or breastfeeding a child. Slap fights between shamans who think it disrespectful to show her naked and those who think it disrespectful to not show her naked are common.

Mathulmyn is almost more a common name for an idea than a proper god. There are three depictions depending on location: the first is a thoughtful man of middle age with elaborately braided hair and a full beard; the second is an elderly man with a truly long beard and bald held, hunched over either with age or to whisper advice into an ear; the third is a noble, matronly woman in fine dress reclining upon a chair and with a knowing smile.

I know want to hear about and have other gods grow in prominance, but I just really like the concept of Crow and I don't want his overall importance to the cosmology of the People to drift. Crow, being a Trickster, feels vulnerable to to this because he's a weird god/primordial/demon and not an entity easy to connect or relate to.

On that note I really hope we can keep our religion Shinto-like concerning the spirits and the gods like it currenty is. I find it very refreshing.

That honestly sounds like a variation on Teacher Crow that got spun off and split three ways again. Huh. Neat.

Also on naked vs not naked. Hehehehehehehe. Gods that's hilarious. I'd be totally for naked version though, how about you @Omegahugger? Want our chief Farming lady to be a naked earth goddess? :ogles:

Pfft. I can't take myself seriously. I just can't. Not with this!:rofl::rofl:

We can also get tech with those actions we'd have to spend recovering every time we took in a big refugee wave.
Before losing GS and gaining Iron it was ~neutral in terms of stats between the different options. It also would've given us the first true city and the correspondingly larger prestige boost.

But no, we didn't due to fears of hygiene in our city (clearly a major problem as we've seen thus far /s) and the idea that our women leader having to restore our stability via actions instead of starting high would lead to a worse narrative somehow...

It's kinda a useless argument now since we definitely don't want to grab the larger one now, but it's definitely a loss about as large as not saccing our diplo king.
