Nope

We have internal problems to take care of.

Legitimacy is still at two, Instability is kicking in, and we need to fortify our northern territories.

If nothing goes wrong,

Main Proclaim Glory
Secondary Extend Forest

The first fixes two of those problems and the last begins long term deterrent as well as boosts our Econ. That leaves another project for whatever pops up.
I'm down with that.

If we have the Econ we might want to grand sacrifice or art patronage or go full hog on TREEEEEEEEEEES!

as well as boosts our Econ
Nope, [Secondary] Expand Forests costs 1 econ and gives 1 econ. Net total: no change. (it does seem to add a few econ slots though)
Assuming we beat the nomads away and nothing else happens, I'm thinking either
[Main] Restore Order
[Secondary] Change Policy - Expansion
[Secondary] Enforce Law or Survey Lands
or
[Main] Restore Order
[Main] Proclaim Glory
(This one would be if we want to continue attacking the nomads and kick them while they're down)

I realized we have a type of nomads within the Ymaryn: peripatetic nomads. Basically, nomads that go around servicing their customers in some form of trade.

I went to bed and AN posted the update five minutes afterward. AN plz

Pretty happy we didn't get any bad effects, so my worries were for naught :D

[X][Main] Build Iron Mine
[X][Secondary] Study Health
[X][Secondary] War Mission - Northern Nomads
[X] Change Policy - Offense

This dips us into negative stability but we get iron, the only worry is our econ will be very low. The mid turn could be expensive as well. If we manage to beat off the nomads I'd be interested in seeing what a double main Expand Forest would do. The sooner we plant forests the sooner we get the defensive bonus for them.

"Da red wunz go fasta!"

I now have an image of the nomads riding on red chariots because they believe this. Meanwhile, the Ymaryn ride on green ones because 'green iz best!'.

I'll be honest and say I'm 90% certain we'll all die and be enslaved.

I wanted to rate this funny but felt it would be tempting the dice gods.

Also, excellent omake @Hangwind!

[X][Main] Build Iron Mine
[X][Secondary] Study Health
[X][Secondary] Enforce Law
[X] Change Policy - Offense

Not enough Econ, Stability, Art, or anything to do what I want.

[X] [Secondary] War Mission - Northern Nomads
[X] Change Policy - Offense

Just gonna lock this in here...
The funny is the only rating I feel that comes closest to a "brace for impact I'm terrified!" rating.

#WanttobuyaTerrifiedRating.

If it was a choice of the first or the second, I would pick second every time. And that is only because it has Proclaim Glory.

I will not play dice with our Stability, especially one that requires us to put down collateral first when we are already in negatives. I'm with BungieONI on this.

I really hope you guys are right about an offensive policy being the answer against a heroic general.

You realize that it's a very specific answer that could mean we jumped over to full on DOOMCON, yeah?
The DEFCON scale only goes from 1 to 5 so we are somewhere in 2 to 5, if he is basing the DOOMCON on DEFCON which it looks like he is. The Herald of Bynwyn probably came knocking.

The real question is what our stats (especially econ) will be. If we're running low on econ I'm definitely doing the first so that we have a bit of buffer to be safe. We won't have the econ necessary to raise our stability above 1-2 so the legitimacy 2 won't really matter. If the Iron Mine gives us as much as I'm hoping, the second is definitely better, no question.
