TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands.
To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.
I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.
I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.
I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all.
You know, we could still do our script about Napoleon, just with some slight adjustments.
The one made by Kubrick sounds like it's going to be one of those grand affairs, a movie huge in scope, and as such we could benefit by making ours a bit of a more intimate one.
I recall a saying once in a book by Colleen McCullough: "When in the presence of the sun, be a shadow". Basically, it means that instead of trying to go head to head against someone, or something, which alrady dazzles the eye, you would stand more by being the shadowy place, or the small being compared to the big.
As such, since our movie is about Napoleon and his life, instead of one from Napoleon or his opponents perspective, we could perhaps have it be from the perspective of one, or many, of the soldiers who fought with him, getting to see how his army evolved and changed, the campaigns he lead through the eyes of a simple soldier with all the different small and big problems that came with it, their perspective on Napoleon, all the way to his final battle.
You know, if Blues Brothers is made and Carrie still ends up in the movie, part of me wants for Bruce to be involved in a comedic plot point where he's a John Wick like assassin who tries to hunt the Brothers down and decimates everyone in his way, only for the punchline to be him catching up to the two and realizing he's got the wrong guys. This occurs in the sewers right before they have the climax with Carrie's character, and when the Brothers run away, Carrie trips and stumbles onto Bruce's character where it's love at first sight.
What about Hardcore, All the President's Men and Dracula? Have they finished with them?

Historical Epic but Napoleon is basically treated as a Horror villain as an unstoppable killing machine and the plot is about the Coalition trying to find ways to beat the invincible conqueror? I'm down.
Yeah I'm really hoping that Director request is retconned to Bruce just being the Action Director as that's all he needs to be and we got a lot on our plate as a Dad, prepping for Ali, and Star Wars pre-production. @Duke William of Why the Director Request?

Well, I would not mind, but we want to make this movie a success, and we have to be aware of our limits. This Pitch and script was made with the intention of being similar in tone to Miller's Batman: Year One, and we are not ready to get to that level just yet.

Well, at least we didn't say we would be the only director, and we do have other responsabilities with Empire. We could certainly work together into making this movie as great as it deserves.
Robin Williams is having a good day while staying at Bruce and Carrie's place for help dealing with his cocaine addiction. Hearing sounds from the gym and with little Mary O'Brain settled, he goes to see if he can help Bruce. Inside is Bruce hammering away at a bag suspended from the ceiling. Robin asks if he can help and wraps it in a joke, startling the Grim expression off Bruce's face. Looks thoughtful and then asks if Robin would be willing to use the pads. Robin agrees, cracking another joke that Bruce in the ring will hit far stronger than his last dose of cocaine as he puts the pads on.
It is a different exercise for Bruce than the fighting under Bruce Lees's watchful eye. Usually, the one working the pads usually calls out strike sequences and states how the other fighter could improve. Robin lacks both the skill and sheer power of Bruce Lee, requiring each of Bruce's strikes to be as much a teaching moment for Robin as it is a learning opportunity for Bruce. Robin is a quick study for the technique and physical action and improves quickly. His primary value is that his endless humour makes it easy to continue practising a little longer. Robin's jokes lighten in tone and become less self-critical as Robins's mood improves as he feels he is giving something back.
Bruce enjoys the experience. A training session with a friend improves the feeling from a grim duty to an enjoyable experience. A second set of eyes catches mistakes before they become habits. While it may only help a little with preparations for the fight against Ali, it significantly helps Robins's Mood. It reminds him that fighting can be More, and if it feels like Bruce Lee is watching him with approval for a moment, there is no one to say the tear in his eye was anything but sweat.
Kathleen Kennedy is focused on the Production of Batman and the gamble she has made. Her career is on the line. She has no time to entertain an ego-driven fight. Her future is literally in Bruce's hands. That doesn't mean she is unobservant. She notices a bruise while working with Bruce O'Brian on Batmen and says nothing. Bruise relieving cream is silently placed next to the most recent script revision and left for Bruce. She turns off a TV that is mindlessly repeating Ali's most recent call out before Bruce enters the room and says nothing about how he relaxes in the silence. A costuming request for a Bat suit crosses her desk and is sent back with red ink indicating that allowances need to be allowed for bigger muscles like a boxer working hard might develop. Gossip in the tearoom about Bruce's chances against Ali, if he is too busy to prepare, is ignored as she does her business. A bag and some gloves appear in Bruce's temporary directors' office, along with an updated schedule that will allow Bruce some practice between Duties. She endures multiple hours of meetings with mid-level executives questioning choices being made for extras and personnel working on the film. She fights hard for the choices and gets them all approved for Bruce's final say-so. The list of potential hires lands on Bruce's desk for stunt work is eclectic. The only thing in common is they all have past boxing experience. When questioned, She tells everyone that Batman is her First focus, and she has no opinion about the Boxing match. The shadows behind her eyes say a lot about false accusations and having achievements belittled. As far as she is concerned, the only outcome of that match against that Liar is of Bruce knocking that mocking smirk off from Ali's face.
Lucasfilm is behind Bruce. If it wasn't for him being a decent boss and or that they are avid fans of his work, it is because many are professionally offended by Ali's lack of effort during his acceptance of the challenge. They have seen better acting from a trashcan. They should know because they were the ones who brought the trashcan to life in the form of R2-D2. Departments spin up small side projects under the excuse of experimentation.
The prop department makes a new type of punching target. Shaped like the upper torso of a man and weighted base, it is vigorously tested by several stunt workers and more than a few passers-by. It is agreed that the shape and exotic mix of chemicals that went into the construction of its skin makes it both durable and feel like punching a person. It is agreed that it is an excellent practice tool. Any resemblance to a specific Professional boxer is undoubtedly a coincidence. Likewise, the proposed name Clay is simply because of its slightly waxy texture resembling a block of clay, not a reference to the name of an abolitionist a boxer refuses to acknowledge any connection to.
The writer's room has a new villain for a comedy short about kitchen tools. A Grater that repeats other wiser tools statements and takes them out of context without understanding them fully. The Grater whips up a crowd of otherwise situational tools and convinces them that the devices should be used more often. This leads to chaos in the kitchen as tools are used or the wrong job or just improperly. This culminates in the Grater ruining their meal by cutting into the chef's fingers and making him bleed on the food. The situational tools are removed and put back into storage, and the Grater job is replaced by a knife. It is a low-quality script that isn't working, but it has far more traction and staying power than most rejected works, with writers going back to tinker with it more than once. Oddly, none of those in supervising roles seems upset with the lost time attempting to make the Grater the villain of the piece.
Lucasfilm has a sudden animation issue led by Tomino but supported by much of the animation department. There is a sudden urgent need for some good Stunt footage, particularly some boxing maneuvers. Bruce is needed to show some boxing moves in front of cameras against the standard boxing equipment but also against a few stuntmen dressed up in particular outfits to help track movement. As a bonus, a few math nerds can watch each punch frame by frame and do some math to help Bruce work on his form and identify his most potent, least tiring punches. They have it all ready to go the instant Bruce has some time.
The editing department also has a few rolls of footage they would like Bruces opinion on. Nothing important, just Clips of Ali fighting other opponents and how they got out of Ali's traps and tricks. They think some moves will be both effective and look good. They just need to have an expert review and practice them to ensure their viability before they send them on to the animation or prop department.
A few secretive directors are a little less mysterious and more blatant in their actions. Noticing a lack of time Bruce appears to have, A Batman script is stolen and gone over line by line with annotations from each added for What they would put in and how to make awe-inspiring scenes. It is a how-to masterclass that any director would want to get their hands on. One that could potentially save vast amounts of time in planning and preproduction. Oddly, no Director comments much on the specifics of the action scenes, just general notes about the plot direction and key points in character development the fight could be used to emphasize. The resulting work is returned to Bruce's desk with a read me note on the top.
A boxer approaches a martial arts academy in the LA hills, specifically The Bruce Lee Memorial Gymnasium. The man is known to be a veteran of the armed forces, interested in charity work and, more importantly, has an interest in coaching. Suppose he happens to teach a bunch of young men with a skill for martial arts about boxing and, in particular, how he dealt with a technique popularized as Rope A Dope well that cannot be controversial. In that case, Ali is on his way out, and none of these men will be anywhere near title contenders, even with a lot of luck for years yet. It's not like he holds a personal grudge against a specific Boxer for slander and misrepresentation. Sure, Cassius had stated that it was all a part of hyping their matches, but he had never received an apology from the man. He had suffered real Loss and hardship for being considered a sellout to the white man, even though an objective observer would say he had lost far more and had far better reasons to be bitter than Cassius ever did. If those students also happen to work for Lucasfilm, everybody needs a job indeed no one in the black or boxing communities can argue if they even notice. So if Bruce O'Brian suddenly knows Several tricks that Cassius would like to keep secret, Bruce would have had to to pay attention to the stunt workers and be willing to learn from those less skilled than himself. It's a small test of character, but it is something Smokin' Joe feels comfortable doing.
An article Appears in Pravda, the Soviet State newspaper, about a fight between a Draft dodging boxer and the warrior who defeated the Soviet champion. The column notes how the actor who faced the Soviets gave respect to the Soviet champion and built his business by challenging and beating the Bourgeois who created false propaganda to keep the working man down. It goes on to lament that he is a good worker but undirected spending time and effort on such a frivolous industry as entertainment when he could be working in a factory for the good of all American people and how much more he could have accomplished had he been blessed to have been born in the Soviet Union. Another paragraph follows on how the Soviet distribution of resources is superior rather than forcing a Laborer to stumble his way to enrich society.
His opponent, the boxer, is noted as a draft dodger and analysis is given that his response was read off a script. The article concludes that he is a witless Puppet manipulated by the Capitalist Dogs to challenge the closest thing they have to an honest labourer. More contrast is given, noting the boxer has debts and is poor at managing money. That boxer Has changed his name from that respecting a proto-revolutionary who helped save the boxer's people to that of a Muslim he has no connection to. The article itself is on page three, where it could be overlooked or be stated as an error if it's content proves inconvenient to the Soviet leadership in the future and both individual's names are misspelled.
Analysists read the paper on both sides of the Atlantic. They consider the appropriateness of Leonid Brezhnev meeting Muhammad Ali in person and what Ali might say in response. The documents are well-researched and seemingly Apolitical. The fact that both analyses have just finished watching Solomon Kane and been impressed favourably and been reminded of Star Wars should not have altered recommended outcomes. It is undoubtedly a coincidence that both reports suggest that Ali be quietly sidelined.
Carrie merely sighs at the ongoing chaos before insisting Bruce come down to the beach with her. Robin is happy to look after Little Mary for a few hours until her mother returns. They can surf and relax. If Bruce insists on continuing to prepare for the bout, he can try punching underwater or something. Either way he will be made to relax and be reminded that others care about him and can help if he is willing to Reach out a little.
Yeah I'm really hoping that Director request is retconned to Bruce just being the Action Director as that's all he needs to be and we got a lot on our plate as a Dad, prepping for Ali, and Star Wars pre-production. @Duke William of Why the Director Request?
I was dumb, someone told me that Magoose said that we could go for the director's chair, I went power-hungry, and I subsequently got us in this mess.
My deepest apologies to everyone in this quest for the mistake, and I'll leave the planning to everyone else from now on.

No worries man, it's ultimately not that big of a deal. And besides, Ali's challenge gives us an opportunity to bring in another director to assist because of the conflicting time commitments if we really want to.

Except that Batman won't begin production till September. Which is after our bout with Ali.
We're in the preproduction stage right now, and while that may take time away, two actions are needed for the thing, but its not like we are entirely stuck.
And honestly. Bruce could possibly make a point of highlighting a certain aspect of Batman's character that might resonate with him.
Because one thing that is a big part of Batman's character is there are rules he holds himself to, and touching into the backstory and trauma Batman had experienced in such a subtle but telling way could add layers to the character.

This is Ali any advantage is needed. Sure he has just lost to Leon Sprinks but Ali was out of shape and not fighting fit. Ali will be trying to get back into shape and may well be in his final peak for the fight.
or he may underestimate Bruce not take it seriously and get punished.
Hey man you're the original GM, the whole reason this wonderful story exists. If anyone has a right to make plans it's you. Oh well, I guess if Batman becomes super successful then at least we can take massive credit and it'll improve our Directing skills for Empire, plus this makes Batman eligible for the -40 production disaster buff.

Ah, if that's the case then things are actually a lot better than I thought it'd be and this is managable. For now we just help with pre-production of Batman and Star Wars and for both we got great producers to help us out with Kathleen for Batman and George and Mike for Star Wars. We train for most of the work day and then come home and be a loving husband and dad. Plus with our Director debuff, we can finish Batman by Christmas and after a small break with our family head to Hokkaido to film the Hoth scenes. Good schedule.

The fun thing about the potential Hokkaido filming is that it won't be dangerous for us to be there in winter... not like in Norway. Cause oh boy, that winter production in norway.

While it does mess with the aesthetic of Hoth to make it more mountainous and have forests, I'll take that over the cast and crew nearly dying from frostbite. Hokkaido is a pretty beautiful island which will make for some gorgeous scenery and it's cool to do more stuff with Japan. Although it's gonna make for some interesting lore to explain why the Rebellion suddenly went from all white to Japanese dominant in three years, lol.
OTL Spielberg was George's first choice for Return of the Jedi but a ton of conflicts kept the dream from happening. Works out for the best since Return's Adventure and Epic Finale plot work well with Steve's strengths while Empire's character driven story is great material with Bruce. Plus Bruce gets another movie where he gets to direct romance with his wife so you know the Han and Leia scenes are gonna be GOATed

Actually, I have already come up with a rather good reason for that. Remember that the Rebels are evacuating Hoth during the beginning of the film, and we can easily just handwave it, that many of those people are staying in the defense just the local forces that are staying to protect their home, while everyone else evacuates.

You looked at the directors and Mike. "Mike they asked for a break, will all the animators at work, and all the money we're making, we are not in any danger of losing any money this year."
Mike was a bit deflated as he looked at them. "I'm offering full creative control, letting you all do whatever the hell you want for another film this year, how can you all give that up?"
Martin started. "Well, I'm wanting to work with one of the guys in the Writer's room to get a script I want to do done. And there is nothing in any contract we signed that requires us to work on two films. We already got the one film for this year."
Brian spoke next. "I want to enjoy a nice vacation that I've been planning with my girlfriend for a few months."
Steve glared daggers at Mike. "I spent five months on Conan with Bruce, I deserve a break for the rest of the year Mike."
At all those answers, Mike turned to you. "You're kidding me Bruce, even you?"
"I'm about to work on two films at the same time Mike, one for Colombia because some lady was being rather generous with Batman, and George has Star Wars he needs to work on and since I'm directing it, it will be… very much needed… are you really asking me to try to do a third? I'm not Steve!"
Steve was happy at the compliment, but instead, he just said. "Leave me out of this Bruce."
Mike sighed and shook his head. "We have so much talent right now, it would be a shame to waste all of it."
"Well, maybe you can try to hire some more directors." You asked.
"With our luck at hiring producers and the iron contracts that are currently holding most of them down?" Mike asked.
"Make do then." You smiled. "I'm going to the writer's room, they said they finally had those scripts ready."
Reward: The director Crew has gone on rest for the rest of the year. The next Action plan will be done at the beginning of next year before the main turn.

You went to the program with a simple message. How to be better. And you think that it worked.
In fact, Fred was in tears after your monologue over how you changed yourself over time, with the help of your family and friends. How you chose to become better through effort and exercise, not because it was easy, but because it was hard… And how it made you a far calmer, and more collected person.

Mary was fascinated. There was a new person in the house. He talked fast and made different voices. His hair didn't taste as interesting as Mummy's, but he had a fascinating hand. Any chance Mary had, she grasped onto the fingers and held tight. The Man or Robin as Daddy called him made funny, panicked looks on his face and tried to get her to let go without doing so. It made Mary giggle. He was oftenawake at odd times too. Robin would be awake before Mummy or Daddy when she woke up in the middle of the night because she was hungry or wet. He was also often asleep during the day when she had her naps. She didn't understand why he did not change her or get her a bottle from the fridge. He was awake. Why did he have to wait? Eventually, after Robin watched Mummy and Daddy a few times, he talked with them and started helping, as well. Mary approved because she got her Diaper changed faster and got another go at his fascinating hand.
Learning to crawl also had some entertaining moments. Daddy made panicky faces whenever she got near sharp edges or long drops like the stairs, but that was nothing compared to the look on Robin's Face when she found the white powder.
Robin and Daddy talked to each other in the lounge while Mommy cooked in the kitchen. By pulling herself up using a leg of the table, Mary could stand tall, pull a bag of flour all over herself, and then escaped to the lounge before Mommy could stop her. When Robin saw her covered in white powder, gigging and Moving as fast as she could, the look of Fear and horror on his face was the best ever. The squeaking noise he made was even funnier. He then moved faster than she had ever seen before, scooped her up, and started removing all the flower with his shirt starting with her nose, eyes, and mouth. She didn't like that as much. He didn't even give her his hand to Play with.
Mummy started laughing until Robin said something about her getting into his coke, and her expression moved to horror, too. Then Robin started to cry. Mary didn't like that so she tried to kiss him better. It sort of worked for a bit, but he began to cry again, so she turned to Mummy and Looked at her, trying to get her to come over and Help. Eventually, Mummy got the idea and Mummy came over and hugged Robin and Mary. Then Daddy came over and hugged all of them.
See, Mummy Daddy is very clever. He knew an extra big special hug was needed without prompting from Mary. Mary decided she liked being in the middle of a big hug and giggled. Then Robin gave a very watery smile. Mission accomplished; now she could play with his hand again. And even better mummys hair was within grab too but which to choose? Then Mary had the best idea ever. She had two hands. So she grabbed both.
Whatever conversation Mummy, Daddy, and Robin were now Having was unimportant. She had hair and a hand, and Daddy made his very focused face. Surrounded by safe people, Mary was happy.
Robin collapsed onto his bed, staring unthinkingly at the Ceiling. What had just happened was unbelievable but absolutely real. He had a Cocaine addiction, and instead of turning him away as a potential risk to their new daughter. Bruce O'Brian had let him in and offered silent support. Carrie Bruce's wife had quietly set up the room he was in and made it clear that he was welcome no matter how many bad memories Robins addiction had brought up in her. And little Mary O'Brian had instantly decided he was her new best friend and wanted to share whatever new delight she found with him.
Bruce was a wall and a shield and an endless well of non-judgmental support. It didn't matter how bad Robin was feeling or if he got angry or was difficult to deal with. Bruce just repeated that he, Bruce O'Brian, valued Robin's friendship over any temporary inconvenience that the addiction was causing. "Well-wishers" and "friends" were firmly diverted by Bruce's scowling visage, making it easier to be out and stay out of circles where Cocaine was available and acceptable. Bruce asked nothing in return. No jokes, no need to entertain or make laugh, no need to be funny or even interact if Robin was not up to it. The only requirement for his stay was that Robin was honest with him.
Carrie was confusing. Her tolerance and even acceptance of his presence were often at odds with the feelings he knew he was bringing up in her. She freely admitted having problems with Marijuana and understood his feelings of wanting something to make the world stop to allow him to be quiet and turn himself off. Understood the need for something, anything to make the world feel better. She was sympathetic to the issues with paranoia and knew the call of waiting for just one more hit but knowing that one was already too many. She was determined to remain supportive even as he could see he was hurting her. He had tried to leave once he noticed how much his presence was costing her, and she had all but shouted at him that he was staying. Then she did the impossible: picked up little Mary, put her in his arms, and walked out the door, telling him that he was responsible and she would be back in a few hours and then left before he could protest.
Mary's reaction to being abandoned by her mother was to just blink at him with those big brown eyes and started trying to play with his hand.
Robin was lost. Here was this tiny, defenseless child that his friends implicitly trusted him with, who showed no fear of a drug addict with mood swings and paranoia. What did she want from him? Not his comedy or boundless energy that he could barely pull out these days, not an impression or a joke, she barely understood basic words and knew few people beyond her parents and grandmother. All she seemed to want was interesting fingers for her to grip and a warm body to fall asleep on.
Robin was trapped, not daring to move and wake the baby until Bruce returned from some work on the Batman movie a few hours later. Bruce looked over and, despite what Robin's Cocaine fueled, paranoia was screaming at him that Bruce would do to him for daring to touch his child. Bruce just nodded in seeming approval and left him be. Mary briefly looked at her father, snuggled back into Robin, and settled again.
Coming back to himself, Robin looked across to a small box in which a small amount of white powder rested. He forced himself up, collected the box, plaster a smile on his face, and went downstairs to find a way to dispose of something completely.
Getting over Cocaine meant doing normal things without it running through your system. Like going down to the shops. When Carrie commented that they were running low on diapers Robin was feeling pretty good and offered to go and get them for her. Carries smile in thanks and the nod he received from Bruce felt better to receive than either of their laughter at any of the jokes he had made during the meal. That didn't mean the task was easy especially has he found his mood dropping suddenly as he dove to the store.
Entering the store, he could feel all eyes on him, and the customers and staff instantly started whispering about him. It wasn't true, he told himself. It's just the paranoia from the Cocaine getting to you. He gritted his teeth and continued in. A packet of Pampers was added to the growing collection of items. He ground his teeth and forced himself to complete an everyday task that anyone could do, that he used to be able to do without thinking. At the checkout, the cashier had a smile on her face as she scanned the items and commented that when he arrived, they were concerned he might have been a druggie, but these, she wiggled the packet of diapers as she rang them up, gave a much clearer explanation for his look. Sleep deprivation from looking after a new child really took it out of you, didn't it? He laughed and commented that she only woke up two or three times a night these days, and that was a significant improvement even as the room began to warp and stretch away from him.
He found himself back at Bruces place before he properly came back to himself, he knew he had made a joke about how having a cocaine habit might be cheaper and less nerve-wracking than being trusted with your best friend's baby daughter. He remembered paying and being told that it was hard with children but the wonder of watching them grow made it all worth it.
He went to put the packet of Pampers away in Mary's nursery and found he had to sit down. For the next hour, he found himself watching Mary in her crib, delighting in her fascination with a soft toy unable to tear himself away and enthralled in her delight. Then Mary turned her head enough to see him, and an enormous grin split her face. She immediately abandoned the toy she had been so enthralled in a moment before before and begged him to pick her up.
The cashier was right. Being part of this was worth whatever it cost.
Bruce had a gym and workout equipment in the mansion, and he didn't understand why he was so surprised that both Bruce and Carrie used it regularly. Bruce was somewhat obsessed with getting back into fighting shape for an upcoming Match with Ali
Initially, Insomnia was hard to deal with, but Bruce was there for him again. Whenever he found himself restless and unable to sleep and Bruce was still awake, Bruce wordlessly invited him to the gym for a brief workout. It turned out that the home gym had good silencing and could be used at all times of the day or night without disturbing the house's other inhabitants.
It was initially intimidating as Bruce was literally an Olympic-class athlete getting himself into fighting shape, and Carrie was also very fit, even with the recent baby. The expected condemnation never came. Just help with the machines and routines. Enough to get his muscles pleasantly sore and himself tired. He rested well that night.
Subsequent nights didn't have that level of success, but Bruce's quiet encouragement made the times he worked with Robin deeply enjoyable, even if it meant pad work against a gold-winning boxer.
As his confidence grew, Robin started trying the other machines in the gym, originally with Bruce but eventually on his own. Robin found he liked the stationary bike the most but was happier going for an actual bike ride. Something he could do with Bruce running alongside doing the road training part of his boxing preparations. The best part of the exercise was the "runners high," something that felt almost like a Cocaine hit but not. Cleaner, better and far more sustainable. The runner's high felt like the truth to Cocaine's lie.
At the end of every ride, there would be little Mary with a big grin, always happy to see and wanting to be held by him. Bruce was an nonjudgmental rock and Carrie understood the generalities of addiction, if not the practicalities and approved of his efforts. Both would understand if he relapsed and died of an overdose. Mary wouldn't. Mary looked at him with those big brown eyes and gripped his fingers tight whenever he accidentally let his hand Drift close. He had seen Mary get restless when she couldn't find him and well, with her growing mobility and curiosity, there was no way he was going to have Cocaine anywhere near Her. And if that meant never having Cocaine again, then that's a price that he would willingly pay. He had a responsibility that was more than him and he would live up to it.
Robin Williams was very open with his issues with alcohol and Cocaine, often talking about his experiences even when it was evident that it cost him emotionally to do so.
In interviews, he credits exercise, specifically Cycling, to be what he used to replace Cocaine. While acknowledging his friend's death, he cites wanting to be a part of his children's lives to be the Why he gave up on Cocaine.
In this world, Robin has supportive, non-judgmental friends and a Small Baby fascinated with his hand. As long as Mary is fascinated with that hand, it is never going to willingly touch Cocaine again.
