You asked, and he was touched that you thought of him, but he's not really the most qualified to help. He's not a researcher by trade or inclination, and he wouldn't know where to start. Sensei gave you pointers to the best visions for reference purposes, though, and advised you to branch out a bit from them in case they're not actually the best (gotta be some reason nobody has managed it).

Because we don't know if a single training action would have been enough to level them to exceptional and it was better to raise Ki projection to exceptional for sure instead of splitting in two and falling short without increasing either past talented in time for the dragon. Sincé one of the points of increasing the macro-skills to exceptional is that it makes it easier to increase the sub skills to exceptional it doesn't make much sense if we had good chances to increase the skills to exceptional in a single action without it.

It could have been. Write-ins were allowed, and the vote was inherently retroactive. Heck, one of the options was a prize of an all-out battle against Kakara, and there's certainly no standard bracket for that.
