I'd like to confirm, our plan is flexible enough that we'd get a vote to refine it once we come into contact with Jaffur, correct? We'll get a chance to explain the situation, impose conditions, offer support, receive input et cetra

You would need an action. Your only sorcerer is holed up in Senzu Hall by default, with imprisonment or death as the consequence for leaving.

real talk, what are you expecting to develop from our skill set that is not already obvious via general ki manipulation, telekinesis, flight, telepathy, or multiform?

I would imagine that daily use stuff is easy enough that you dont need to be anywhere near exceptional to develop it or use it. the exact opposite in fact. its the lazy who would want to create/learn/use it primarily.


though i guess it does not hurt to ask @PoptartProdigy does kakara think spending an additional action slot on figuring out more BLTK powers would be worth it or is it pretty tapped out and just needing compilation?

It is lazy like learning how to code in order to get things done faster is lazy. Also you will notice that the Z fighters in the show and Manga rarely used their ki in everyday life. I don't want us to fall into the same trap.

another thing. i think you guys are investing a little too much in soft skills. we know that moderate-big threats are coming. ones that we may very well not be able to talk down.

2 AP spent training our combat skills is not enough.

that disputes my point how? learning the basics is a core part of our culture. they already know how to code. they are just writing some basic scripts to do some common tasks more quickly.

they are not writing million-line monoliths that take years of work and true in-depth knowledge to understand and build.

Whatever plan wins, I'd like to spend an action on Grandma. We need a concrete plan to deal with Dad, preferably in a way that pulls all his levers and doesn't destroy our relationship with him.


Something I noticed about this quest is Mom's lack of presence. She has been decisive in the Lady Vegata arguement way back in the prelude and she imposed the education edict on us. She answered our question with 'organized'. That's three traits.

Poptart, can we get mom's character sheet? She's dad's greatest allies, but Kakara-in-play has pretty much put her to the back role.

There's always something. She's not sure she'll figure out something actionable in a year's time, but she knows there's something out there. There always is somewhere further to innovate.

You'll see more of them if you take a Stewardship action this year. Character sheet'll happen when I have time. :p

And Fenella gives us a bit of an "in" to the Peats, which should hopefully help with reining in the renegade House. And finally, Kakara needs a cool, passionate older sister figure, who she can blow off steam with, without hiding the whole "Masquerade" part, which her friends currently don't help with.

@PoptartProdigy, are we ever going to get a quiet year without something major going on? Because I'm fairly sure most Scions don't have to deal with this much shit until they're in their 20's.
 
Can we even do both Scion actions? It reads to me like a binary choice (well, with the unwritten third being neither).

You got a couple of quiet years relative to this at the start of the quest.

I seem to remember a couple of people complaining about not enough happening, although that may have been in PMs. :lol

But yes, things will settle down. Eventually.

personally, i would rather spend 1 extra ap on raising our grades (as opposed to maintaining) and the other ap training (since we have an enemy fleet coming at the end of the year and we just got warning of a big-bad).

I say that the enemy fleet is not a physical threat. In fact now that we know that they can not turn back we can likely reveal more power.

we dont know their size, so they may very well just be able to sneak enough people through because of numbers to wreak havoc. we saw how much trouble we had dealing with scouts that were not exactly picked because they were sneaky. they are a professional military with a lot of experience. and we are kinda limited in power-level because of the risk of collateral damage and of being detected at interstellar ranges.

and again. we just got told a Big Bad is on its way. why is there no concern about that? we get that warning and the response is "lets do the minimal amount that we can to train our combat skills"
