[X] Keep the fight going for a bit, drawing her out step by step; before you settle this down you want to see exactly how much power Maya has socked away.

Before I head to bed:

Y'all know that if nobody votes for what to chat with Maya about, we'll be right back here voting on the exact same thing after the next update, right? Just so we're all cool with that?

[X] Talk about this with Maya.
-[X] Explain ki to Maya, and tell her that while she has more innate power than most, you're not sure you'd call it superpowers, as everyone could get that powerful with proper training.
--[X] Show off a ki blast and explain that physical strength isn't all you can use ki for.
-[X] In order to explain how you know all of this, tell her that you sometimes have visions of both the past, present, future and other things, and that an old man you see in your dreams (probably an ancestor of yours, as you've been calling him grandpa) has been telling you about this since you were little.

I want to give her some information about ki, both to help her make her understand it and to prevent her from later gaining some kind of superiority complex regarding her powers (not that I think this is likely for Maya, but still, almost all super mutants seen in DBZ have been arrogant pricks).

And, well, if we want to explain ki without Maya getting suspicious and possibly finding out about the Saiyans, I think blaming it on an old wise guy we see in our dreams seems like the best bed.
"So Maya... Ever wanted to play tag on the moon?"
I don't think Maya is anywhere near powerful enough to do that. In all likelihood, she's in the low thousands, as she's probably never really trained.

Strange. The one time I kicked a girl in her undoodle doodle (as I called them at the time), she didn't seem to have any reaction.

Maya just revealed to us a huge thing. It's not right for us to lie to her face after her show of trust. At this point, she knows about our power so lying to her would mean we're effectively revealing nothing as opposed to her revealing everything. It's just wrong. Besides, we know damn well how good she is at keeping secrets so that's not a problem.

We're not revealing nothing, we're revealing the existence of ki and our Seer powers (which most Saiyans don't know about).

It depends on the person, some people just dont react to pain or they are just good at hiding their reactions.

And I'm not sure on what to say to maya

We're not "revealing" ki. Maya knows about superpowers already and explaining what the superpowers are isn't a real revelation. As for our Seer powers, what's another superpower to her when she knows they exist? It's certainly not in the same league as Maya revealing that she has powers at all. Not by a long shot.

it's not like the world's ended. You can continue on with business as usual.

An evil smile spreads across your face as you return Sophie's look, and she pales.
"Strong and smart and pretty, and good at fighting.
[jk] "You think I'm pretty?"

It's prime teasing material, you gotta admit. :p

How old was she?

Like men , they get more sensitive with age!
Here's a hint: I called them undoodle doodles back when the incident occurred. As for sensitivity, I remember getting kicked in the balls hurt a lot back then, just as they do now.

Masquerade breach has consequences we aren't ready for yet.
This isn't breaking open the Masquerade and revealing the existence of Saiyans to the world. This is one friend revealing a big secret to another friend who has also just revealed a big secret and is really good at keeping big secrets secret. It's the appropriate and correct thing to do in a cartoon, which Dragon Ball is.

[X] (x0.1) BOW BEFORE KAKARA, PUNY HUMAN! HOW DARE YOU SUGGEST LIKENESS BETWEEN US?! Go saiyan. Put the fear of you into this upstart (my goodness is this out of character, but it amuses me to include it).
-[X] (x0.01) In fact, go whole hog on this. Super Saiyan, now. Clearly this is a warranted and proportional response to the situation at hand.

Bow before living god!
