So what's the current odds on Maya's reveal? She's somehow noticed we have a tail? She's secretly part of a witches' coven and due to small population sizes this is the first time members of both groups have been in close prolonged social contact, and she's noticed the Masque? She thinks we have the hots for Jaron? It could be anything!
Maya is Dandeer. She made herself a custom masque to investigate Kakara and keep an eye on Jaron, but mostly because she desperately needed some moe time.
No, the timelines don't match up, but it's better than accepting that we may have wasted an action on the eve of an alien invasion on a Class S situation.

I tried, but this was the best I could do. It's not even a completely bad action (if you forget we're preparing for war/running a rebellion) so it could be worse!
EDIT: Actually to be fair, this one was marginal, in that it might actually turn out important. It was sucking up to Jaron (which, nice moment for Jaffur aside, hasn't actually done anything useful except bump our relationship up with Jaron a single stage.) But people wanted on-screen social stuff since it's harder to appreciate a healthy social life when it happens off-screen, so here we are.

Oh. This is not good. Not if Poptart is taking eldar kai's spiel in GT about how Saiyans can't stay super saiyan all the time due to the strain killing them by shortening their lifespan. I don't know if this has been brought up but figured I would point it out.

Goku and Gohan would like a few words with the writers of GT. That is surely non canon given that it contradicts Cell saga and FPSS.
Not really. Goku and gohan only stayed in that state for a few months. And FPSS only reduces the strain. Not completely removes it.

It reduced the strain to the point that they could sleep in that form and what the supreme kai said was only on GT, of which only certain parts are canon. Given that there is nothing in super or Z to indicate it shortens the lifespan in such a way and that Goku and Gohan had no problems after staying in that form for months, I think it is extremely unlikely that what was said there was canon for the quest.

Hell, is he capable of training just in general? If he can, he'll likely come out of this as the strongest super saiyan on the planet given his unique style and a full power level. He has had a perfect opportunity where he can do basically nothing but training or watching Jaron.
