Of course, there's another alternative. Let them all land, blow up their ships, and assimilate them.

Again, I have an almost uncontrollable urge to go drop in on Yammar.

Interception won't work, because they're coming in two waves. If one suddenly vanishes--presumed eaten by the locals, it'll mean the second--actually threatening wave will be more willing to go scorched earth--or just not come and talk about it, which raises attention.

They need to go down, but they need to go down in an understandable fashion. I wouldn't be surprised if secret protector enclaves were fairly common (Relatively speaking). The tricky part is hiding the Saiyan part, and not showing all of our cards.

I'm not so sure about that. They're a refugee warband looking for a new home. They know there's a danger of running into an energy field bigger than their heads, and that's part of why they're sending a scout force. If it becomes clear that the scouts ran into something which casually nommed them there's a good chance that they'd simply decide, "Let's not go that direction."

In any case, when a barely subluminal firefly is hurling petatons of boom at you from a couple AUs away it's kind of hard to notice the tail.

Honestly, the whole secret order of martial artists idea is silly. Let the Garenhulders think what they want if they find out.

The question is, do we want to? This would be a prime opportunity to get the masquerade broken or at least badly shaken. If we're in favor of that, we should work it in. If we're not, we should keep in mind that the Peat may well try something along those lines the moment they find out.
Yes, we do want to. In the two hundred years since the exile, there's been a major war to unify the Saiyan race, an evil dictator bent on world/galactic domination, at least three Super Saiyan rebellions, an attempted coup, a genocide in response to the coup, Vegeta Vegeta, the Sealing, and an attempt to challenge the leadership using religion. It's best not to break the Masquerade until Saiyan society stops being so shit and violent, else our problems will expand and become other peoples' problems as well.

The alliteration amuses me.

[] Plan Secret Martial Artists v3.5
-[ ] Tell Dad. This is his job; he can decide how to deal with it.
--[] Suggest we have a goodly number of Saiyans train up their Masque affinity, and 'reveal' the existence of a secret order of martial artists- without revealing the whole Saiyan thing. 'Attempt to hide' the order, inasmuch as keeping it still hidden to the general public, if possible, over the course of the fights. Bonus points: We may be able to excuse teaching our human friends in earnest this way.
-[ ] Tell Sensei. He'll know what to do.
--[ ] Then Tell your conspirators (Grandma, the Senzus, and anybody else you bring in on things). They need to know this in case it'll impact the plan.
--[] With Dad's permission tell the general Saiyan public.
-[ ] Tell Dad about the Peat's perfidious plots
--[ ] But request he deal with it as quietly as possible, given how we particularly publicly permitted possible-pope Peat a partial pardon.

Thoughts?
Thank you, I liked it myself.

I'm not sure I entirely agree; all the scouts dying doesn't necessarily mean that the main invasion force is no match for whatever they found. If we wanted to go with that, I think we'd have to let a single scout escape and tell them how horribly they're outmatched... and I can't think of a way to do that without breaking the Masquerade. Also, I'm not sure we can fight over distances of lightyears? There's a reason pretty much everyone uses spaceships instead of flying themselves.

So, question. Apparently a Masque will break if you have a high enough power level?

If we start training our human friends, for realzies, won't Jaron shatter?

...so has no one like suggested popping the masque for the planet and warning Garunheld about the incoming invasion?

Increasing the number of fighters and decrease the collateral damage.

Plus the larger the no.be of human fighters the harder it is to spot the Saiyans

1-2 years for the first batch and 3 for the main army means the Garenhulders cannot conceivably be boot camped to real relevancy. Training Masque Affinity and hiding our Saiyan-ness is far more sound.

Huh. I suppose the voting moratorium is up.

Okay. What do you think telling the Garenhulders, who's defining trait is 'doesn't like new', that there is a conspiracy of aliens in their midst, or at least that there are aliens on the way here? They aren't going to be relevant fighters, they have neither the tech nor the ki use nor the magic, so what's the point other than making our lives needlessly hard?

This seems like a bad idea. Why would we do this?

Possible Doc Geros may be hiding about
They deserve to know
They are going to find out in 3 year time anyways
They may be able to help us in small ways
The more humans fighting the mocks the more Saiyans can focus on the bosses

I didn't mean about us, but they definitely deserve to know about the coming Invaders. If only so they can prepare bunkers to hide in.

That's pretty unlikely, given the Garenhulders' disdain for anything approaching novelty
EDIT: I just realised I skipped over " they deserve to know". It doesn't really negatively affect them either way - if we kill all of them before they get here, problem solved, and if we don't they're too wimpy to contribute to a war effort anyway.
Not if we kill them all before getting here!
I'm pretty sure the internal destabilisation caused by the reveal will throw us and the planet into significant disarray, and would thus be more of a hinderance than a help.
Given what we know about Garenhulders, they'd make terrible mooks.

And finally: the Masquerade's ultimate goal is to hide from The Enemy, a force so great it killed all the Super Saiyan Gods etc. The only reason I can see for dropping it would be to train harder for outside context problems, and I suspect that one way or another this war will do that for us; even after it's finished, we'll be able to argue that if people are fleeing the Galactic Centre we're likely to see more incursions; they might even follow these invaders deliberately.

There is no point in the whole martial artist thing as far as I can tell.

We don't need the fighters. After 200 years, saiyan probably outnumber the warband and each of them could slaughter their way through them on average.

We don't need an explanation. If we deal with them fast enough, even if they land in a city we can make it seem like a fraud to the humans.

We don't need a plan. That is Dad's job and he probably know how to deal with the reveal or lack of it better than we can.

We don't need to break the Masquerade either. The most anti masquerade in Goku are the Peats and Balor and most are voting to have dad deal with the Peats.

Heck, you could even have a group dress like Saiyaman and say they are superheroes instead of martial artists if you wanted the Garenhulders to know they have champions! At least that way you don't risk them training to figure out ki techniques that might potentially uncover us or have whatever country the aliens land in trying to recruit the hidden martial artist clan to their army!
