No hard proof, but there's enough circumstantial evidence to accept that Jaffur really did attack her. There is some doubt as to whether Jaffur attacked her because she prevented him from getting revenge on Vegeta or if he freaked out and thought he was next.
Fair enough. What did we decide was the most likely candidate for her "deceiving" Berra then?

You appear in their midst -- Head Raditz, Betarel, three warriors you don't recognize, and a figure wearing a black, hooded cape.

Your blood chills as you get your first sight of Dandelor Senzu, the only other Vegetan Sorcerer. Him aside, all of them are wearing armor.

As you appear, they spring away from you, assuming combat stances. Despite that, they keep their energy suppressed so that nobody else can sense them -- it would seem they learned from the fight with your father.

Raditz is giving you a level, calculating look. Betarel looks conflicted. The three warriors all appear focused on what they appear to be assuming is an impending fight.

Dandelor's hands are flipping through a series of seals already, his body facing towards you.

This update really had no excuse for taking so long given how short it, by necessity, is. The reason for how busy I've been, though, is that the past couple days have basically been recovery mode from the hosting. But it took a while and that's all there is to it at the end of the day.

To make up for lost time, the next update will probably be along tomorrow to help me get back into the swing of things. As such there is no moratorium on voting this time around; by all means, do discuss, but decide on an approach quickly. I'll extend voting if there's significant ongoing debate tomorrow, but let's make sure we keep this thing moving.

Fighting's not exactly gonna get us many allies here, I think. Not being in the path of the Sorcerer should be something we do immediately, but other than that, we want to talk so let's not throw the first punch.

Powering down is mostly just to prove we don't want to start anything, but that could backfire if they attack use immediately...

I'm worried that if we Transmission away, we might lose them. It's also not certain that the sorcerer is actually targeting us with a spell - we were extremely loud just then, and he might be trying to cover the group back up before someone coughDadcough comes looking. Similarly, I think we can probably take them in a fight, even if the sorcerer hits us with his spell? We're pretty badass.

In the sort term, I think we're all agreed that we want to power down and talk civilly. In the longer term though, we have to consider the fact that while we may agree on unsealing Jaffur, not only might they insist on unsealing Vegeta2​ but Raditz was reaching for the Super Saiyan transformation at the time, and the entire house Senzu has been in open rebellion ever since - they might not want to simply return to the status quo, and we have to decide what our opinion is of this.

On a meta level, it seems pretty likely that at some point we're going to be getting in a fight with the outside galaxy, the universe, and the enemy, and as such wouldn't necessarily be against other people going Super Saiyan, but I'm not sure we can justify that in-character; as far as Kakara knows, allowing other Super Saiyans might lead to massive societal unrest and further threaten the Masquerade.

That's... not a bad plan, actually. The only thing is, we'd win if it came to a fight, and diplomacy is easier face-to-face than over the phone. If they posed a serious threat I'd agree with you, but Raditz is clearly not sure we're here to fight, so I don't think it's quite necessary.

EDIT, because thinking of more stuff shortly after posting seems to be happening a lot lately:
I don't think we want to lead with "I want to undo the sealing." We should be able to get them to talk without throwing all of our cards down at once, and it would probably be better to sound them out first, get a feel of what they want and how best to convince them to help us out.

Traits we might want to use:

Compelling Presence: When you speak, people listen. Something about your words draws and fascinates those around you. You have an almost indefinable charisma about you that draws people's attention whenever you have something to say. Minor bonus to all Communication checks and moderate boosts to take charge of a situation.

Convictions: A fearful whisper, let loose by Dandeer Vegeta, made you fear for your integrity and possible likeness to Lord Vegeta. Upon confronting this, you found...nothing. You aren't like him, and your behavior was not out of line. You were in the right, and the knowledge of this has strengthened your faith in yourself. Gain a small bonus to all actions taken in what you believe to be in the service of right.

Decisive: While level-headed, you recognize that when a crisis beckons the time for waiting has passed and the time for action has come. In a time-critical situation, gain a small bonus to all actions that resolve or defuse the situation swiftly.

Inquisitive: You like to know things and are none too shy about poking around until you find them out. Gain a small bonus to all actions to gather information.

Oddball: What everybody can agree on is that your mind works in strange ways. You tend to take people off-balance. Gain a slight bonus to any check involving you acting in unconventional ways, and a moderate bonus to take others off-guard in doing so.

Edit: Serioussly though, it is a bit risky to move that fast since it might startle them but it should benefit from all our traits, except maybe inquisitive.
