[X] Planet Zebul. It has absolutely everything you need, if you can just dodge the soldiers.
-[X] While flying to our destination, ask to experiment with transferring Basssoon ki.

Like the add on so we can see if we can give Bassoon a boost if he's outmatched in terms of PL

[X] [ASK] How has Bassoon's anti-psychic measures held up in the past?
[X] [ASK] Basssoon, could you give me a quick rundown of your abilities?
[X] [ASK] How powerful are infantry blasters?
[X] [ASK] What did dandeer promise you Dazazel?

Also like the ASK votes so I'll add them as well.

For what it's worth, Poptart said on the discord that it would be possible to detect the gang by there ki.
That means that we can not arrive in that city, and probably avoid dealing with them entirely, so I think that gets rid of the added risk noted by the vision.

Assuming that that's the only psychic on the planet, and that they can't detect Kakara at the same range as we can detect them, and that they don't come to our new location before we have a chance to leave.

Um... personally, the vision seemed to portray the ambush as opportunistic, not as 'they have a giant network of psychics examining everyone's mind for saiyan mind projections' which is a bit ridiculous. Our ki sense works at interplanetary ranges (in the spirit bomb scene, we felt the energy of Epsis, the sun of Garenhuld's star system), and they only detected kakara once they were within at most a 2 digit number of meters away, and we can still use Bassoon's wards.
I don't think that is a serious risk, though there might be another totally unaffiliated psychic who stumbles across us, but that applies equally to going anywhere else.

There's a lot of room between "massive psychic surveillance network" and "they literally only have the one," you realize. Also, we don't actually know when they first detected Kakara. They could have set up that encounter significantly in advance. Bassoon's wards, on the other hand, are a much more reassuring factor. I'm just skeptical of the notion that the "don't go where we detect these specific people" plan would solve all our problems on its own.

Point. The mentions of how they were suspicious of him because he is a Namekian implies that they noted that first but that definitely decrease my confidence in my conclusion.
Kakara sat and meditated, her sense stretching out into the two worlds around her, letting the distinction between her and the rest of the world fade away as she felt the breeze, the intricate connections between everything around her, though it was almost invisible to her senses, considering the utter emptiness of one of the worlds around her.
But there was one more world around her.
She could feel Bassoon's ki, the energy of his life flowing through the meadow around her, and she could feel his ki flowing through his body and pulsing with his heartbeat.
Everything is part of the great system of ki that connects everything together, but some things are more connected to others.
She knew that the landscape around her and the energy in the material world were both imperfect reflections of each other, each deeply connected together forming one unified will, one person, one life.
She huffed in frustration. Everything was connected, but there were some things that she could not see yet, some limits that she could not yet surpass. Maybe someday she would figure out a way to use the Sight to See every layer of this beautiful working, but for now, it was beyond her reach.
She let herself drop back into the meditation on the world around her, and pondered.
The spirit bomb was all about an impossibly large symphony of voices singing as one, and the life here was almost like that. Each blade of grass felt like it should, but it still sang the tune of Bassoon's ki. This world was all him, millions of distinct signatures playing together to reach a power that they would never be able to accomplish alone.
Maybe the Genki Dama was just an extension of the miracle of life that happened around her everyday.
Or maybe not. She sighed, and returned her awareness to Bassoon's sensory feed.

Compliant, bonus to Genki Dama training.

[X] Planet 42-G. What with the strange characters and the need to time your exit right, this prospect is all about chance. Maybe you can put your thumb on chance's scales.

Heads up: the text of the option has changed slightly.

[X] Planet Pura. The middle-of-the-road option, but prone to cascade failures if you manage the risks poorly. Furthermore, you now know that here you're going to run into a psychic motivated to capture you to turn over to the Enemy. That said, Bassoon has a mind shielding ability; that should hopefully allow you to avoid this specific danger.
- [X] Make sure to Masque yourself, and ask if Bassoon is good enough to apply an additional shield to our mind. Defense in depth is important.
- [X] Try to use your memory of the ki signatures of the ambushers to avoid that city. There is no need to take any unnecessary risks with them.

Oh dear. Hey, folks, beware of vote splitting. Pura voters in particular; if Pura wins, I will give you another vote for your countermeasures.

Sure. This looks good.

I'm also in favor of the subvote about transferring ki, but I don't want to support a split vote.

It's the first Yammar's hearing of it (which is unlikely), why didn't you tell him any of these things at the start of the fight rather than as you start losing,
All very fair. That said, it occurs to me that he doesn't need to have bought it to play along.
how the hell would the aliens have gotten a mage onto Garenhuld in the first place, he has literally never heard of a spell acting as you describe,
I said 'hacked fusion technique', not 'spell'. Could be an alien power, could be a hacked Fusion Dance. I vaguely recall seeing in the thread that one of the Ginyu Force had something like that, but I might be thinking of Sakon and Ukon from Naruto.
he knows as well as you do that while Dandelor and Dandeer are awesome mages Clan Goku has some nine thousand from which you could find another master, why would you be working with traitors for a year (their whole reason for being traitors being bound up in excellent reasons to dislike or disobey Dandeer, Yammar thinks that they are traitors with no justification for their actions)
Ah. I was guessing that it would wipe the whole notion of them being traitors, not just why they turned - it's a pretty obvious connection! Hence why it worked better than expected.
On a similar note, I was assuming Dandeer couldn't be safely kept unconscious for more than a very, very short time. Short enough that finding a very skilled Gokun sorceror would be plausibly more dangerous than just grabbing Dandelor, who now appears to have a motive (disarm the bomb in Dandeer's head without alerting her) for his actions.
you despise Dandeer with every fiber of your being and have been acting like it, etc. Each one of these gives Yammar more circumstance bonuses on the check, and your Deceit is frankly not incredible.
Fair enough. I would have a circumstance bonus for Kakara, given that it's actually a fairly plausible explanation for Dandeer's power and insanity, although it would of course be different aliens than the invasion force.

[X] Planet Pura, but you yourself won't be going. It's time for you and Dazarel to visit one of the other choices on the list.
