-[x] Having gotten their attention, say the following: "You are acting less mature than schoolchildren! There will be order for a decision as important as this or no decision can properly be made." Pause for breath. "I am not a member of the Ancestor Cult, and so I do not feel and can properly express an opinion on how it should organize itself. However, for so important a decision as this I feel it should be made with a full knowledge of the relevant facts. Fenella, I hope you will forgive me, but they must know that your uncle the High Priest is still taking orders from the Head of House Peat."
-[x] Flare power to silence the resulting furor, "SILENCE! THERE WILL BE ORDER! Now, however this sort of decision making is supposed to be done, do it that way instead of shouting at each other like barbarians!"

I like the idea of expising the truth but I don't know if this is the best way. I feel there should be a phrasing that builds up our credibility (and yes, I do realize it is high since we are a demigod in their eyes)

I feel our credibility is as high as we can get it for now. Any attempt to build credibility could backfire as it makes us seem less confident in our assessment of facts.

-[x] Tell them off for acting less mature than your schoolmates, decline to offer a position on the decision because you are not an ancestor cultist, inform them that all the facts should be known before they make a decision, and reveal House Peat's secret.
-[x] If they start acting unruly and disorderly again, flare power to reestablish dominance and insist the decision be made via proper procedure.

Hm...

This is just some brainstorming here, but didn't Poptart say earlier that leaving the meeting could be a powerful statement here? I'm not suggesting it be our whole plan, but it might be something to keep in mind, that we could just leave if things don't go how we want and make some people regret their decision.

[X] Oppose the motion.
-[X] Use Instant Transmission to fetch a giant container of water of some kind, then dump the water over the crowd. Tell them off for their behaviour.
-[X] Instant Transmission behind the Head Priest, and quietly inform him we're aware he's taking orders from his brother. He is to oppose this motion, now and forever, or his house will be charged with treason.

I'm willing to spend my cookie on helping this work!

The daughter of the head of the house in question, yes. She would be in a position to know.
It would also make her both the scapegoat and pariah. Assuming it succeeds, as it rests on the testimony of a child. To be blunt, it is a very dumb thing to do.

Even if you just made the baseless accusation, it would likely be better received than this. I agree with going Super Saiyan and silencing the crowd, but the plan is bad. It drops one scandal to cause another, which still causes a fracture between the Lords and the Faith. Please revise it to not revealing that information without evidence when we are trying to stop a split from forming.

Trade this: "However, for so important a decision as this I feel it should be made with a full knowledge of the relevant facts. Fenella, I hope you will forgive me, but they must know that your uncle the High Priest is still taking orders from the Head of House Peat." for something that embellishes the current system and lambasts them for doubting both it, and Kakara. It is both tradition and necessity. Have they forgotten every hardship the system has suffered through already? That kind of thing.

We need to worry about being too forceful, as it will make the traitorous space pope look better by comparison. But something needs to replace accusing the High Priest on the words of his niece. That's the kind of thing that gets you treated like a child.

Telling them off for shouting by shouting at them will only make us look immature. Comparing them to schoolchildren will make them point out that we ourselves are a school child and ignore us. Saying that there's a decision to be made legitimises the claim that the High Priest should have authority, especially if it's one that needs "full knowledge of the relevant facts." Expecting them to be silent at our behest when they won't be silent at our grandmother's behest is folly. Again, calling them barbarians for shouting while we ourselves shout will just make us look hypocritical.

It's a plan with too many things wrong with it for us to take it.

It could also be worded on a more dramatic fashion. I am on my phone now so don't expect anything great but instead of just throwing the accusation we might want to build momentum to thank any chance if this happening. Phrases like

"Do you want someone who speaks for the faith or someone who speaks the words of the head of Peat?"

"I might not be a member of the faith yet, but I was under the impression before today that the High Priest had to leave his last name behind. I was since informed, by someone close to the head of Peat, enough to witness and hear what happens within their household, that one merely has to pretend, like Celeran, that they don't take orders anymore"

"It might, indeed be possible that it is a misunderstanding. To be fair, regular meetings with house heads behind closed doors do seem suspiscious though. Fortunately, this is easy to dismiss, since yourself told me it is your duty to meet with the heads of clans with lots of members in the faith. We just have to ask the ones present, like the Mato, what their meetings with you are like and how often they happen"

"A child? I am Scion! If my judgement is questioned because of my age, are you not questioning the one of every other before me? Why don't you speakplainly and just say we are not worth being listened to?"

And the like might present the case better than just saying it. Their first reaction would be asking for evidence and then they would imply it is a ploy without saying as much. This being politics, the truth doesn't matter as much as what people believe is the truth and that matters less than what they want to believe is true. Give them a show for them to enjoy or they will make one for themselves and some will claim we are just trying to weaken the faith because we helped the sealing. Some will anyways but it will be the sceptics rather than the bored, normal saiyans.

As a general note, I'm seeing a lot of very detailed write-ins for your exact words. Unless those exact words are very important to your vote, please leave them out; I can write up plausible dialogue from a prompt, and the long write-ins can clutter the vote intimidatingly.

Is this more in line with what you want?

Well, you just removed the quotes and added, "say something to the following effect," so it's just as blocky as before and is in fact the same vote as previously. But it does mean that I can write it in differently if I need to, so it's better.

All you did was remove the quotation marks and add "something to the following effect:". A proper alteration in line with what he wants would be:
[] Go Super Saiyan
- [] Yell at them for yelling, tell them that all the facts should be known before they make a decision, and reveal House Peat's secret.
- [] If they get uppity again, flare our power and yell at them again.

I feel that you are slanting my vote in an unjustly negative light. We aren't "yelling at them for yelling", we are telling them off for acting less mature than our schoolmates.

The way I see it there's no difference and others IC will see it that way too.

I don't agree with this, but...

If you object, respin it yourself in the same general format but as appropriate to your interpretation of the central conceits. No need to complain about being offered an example.

The way I see it there's no difference and others IC will see it that way too.

You are making a rather extreme assumption that all the characters that Poptart is writing will view the world the way you do. Further, there is a difference between yelling and the kind of chaotic eruption that is implicated by what Poptart wrote.

That said, there is a virtue to conciseness.

Currently leaning towards:

[] Go Super Saiyan
-[] Tell them off for acting less mature than your schoolmates, inform them that all the facts should be known before they make a decision, and reveal House Peat's secret.
-[] If they start acting unruly and disorderly again, flare power to reestablish dominance and insist the decision be made via proper procedure.
