Wow, we have our first hero with a negative stat. Yet somehow our boy Dennis stopped as assassination. This does not bode well for Doom. Additionally, Hego is an interesting one. We'll have to be careful about how we use him.
He does have a trait to toss out the first attack stat against him. Also, Hego looks like a shoe-in for building a health plan. Did you guys check out the loyalty stats for the others? There are some interesting tidbits among them.

Have a Sandwich!: The first time Dennis is targeted in combat, the roll automatically fails; Motivates ???

So... from the looks of things... Dennis is awful at everything... besides being a meatshield. So, if he's ever brought on a quest, he will be used to absorb damage. Even the GalFed can't kill Dennis. So... yeah, he's either going to just do personal actions, or he's going to be assigned on missions as a meatshield.

... yeah for having another Toon who can survive almost anything! Even if Dennis sucks at everything!

He also reduces the critical threshold by 10, which means a natural roll of 90+ (10% chance) of exploding die. With a martial of 8, that means he is a decent choice for martial actions if we want our better martial units to go on quests, or take personal actions to get better (Norm upgrading himself, Khan learning English and/or getting a steed, etc.)

Well Dennis is going to be used for every action that won't be screwed by his stats, which basically amounts to.... what exactly?

Hego on the other hand is a decent hero unit. Let's see what's going on for the next turn before we decide to put him somewhere.

To be fair, I get the feeling most of Judge Doom's toon-weasel minions are operating at about the same tier Dennis is... which is kind of the point, I suppose.

The big one is (and we may have known this) Major Monogram's loyalty is eroding at a net -3 per turn, and it's already none to good, plus one of our loyalty bonuses with him has an expiration date.

Going on a quest with him was a good idea; it gives us an opportunity to socialize. Keeping him on-side is going to require active, focused effort.

Wow, Dennis is awful like so bad I'm questioning why we got him as a result of two criticals and a near critical

Genuinely unless he has some really useful personal actions the only things he could be remotely useful for are as a meatshield and to maybe push something over the edge into a guaranteed success if we're close so that we don't have to waste the units that are actually worth a damn

One of my ideas is to get tickets to Syndrome's gala in Las Vegas. I recently re-watched an episode of the show where Monogram was really excited about going on a vacation to Las Vegas and presumably gambling, plus he probably would have good practical experience to be able to assess the tech that people are showing off.

Well, judging by how one of his traits says that it "motivates ???", I imagine that, the more we put him into combat situations, the more said ??? Will be motivated.

I think the main thing we got out of that crit was totally foiling and invalidating the, you know, assassination attempt that Doom almost pulled on us. Dennis is like, a little dollop of cream on top of that.

He's also a hero unit, which recruiting our PMC force didn't have to give.

That's true but it basically means that we have to put him on every quest in the hopes that he gets into fights and becomes worthwhile

Yeah but like I said we got him from an interlude that was a combination of basically two and a half critical successes, stopping an "assassination" attempt wouldn't take up both of those

No it didn't but like I said it was the result of multiple critical successes and it's weird that we'd get a unit as bad as Dennis from it, unless he has some amazing personal actions or late game versatility

Plus it's just weird that Khan would recruit someone that's literally tied with LOVEMUFFIN for our lowest Martial character and actively makes any attempt to stop espionage worse

I think you're underestimating him being able to shrug off any first attack and how good averting that attempt was.

Actually when we first got him @Nystical did some maths and found that his lowest loyalty would be -44 and that he would level out at about -15

But with what we've done already his lowest point is only -24 and he'll eventually level out at +5 and that's before we even do Evil Job Benefits so we don't really need to put that much more effort into him beyond if we want to increase his loyalty some more

Eh, I don't buy that attempt needing two crit is, successes to prevent

We didn't just prevent it, we turned Doom's action into a critical fail.

Fair enough, I still question Dennis' worth but I'll take that
Genghis Khan picked them out, and since that's the case I'm just going to nod and say okay. And hope he doesn't break my spine.

In the meantime we'll just have to figure out what Khan saw in him.
Speaking of Genghis Khan it'll probably be for the best if we have him focus on learning English and for a turn or maybe two.
Then put Doof on spending time with Vanessa, getting those tickets, writing that musical with Monogram and something else.

If we're having Doof use all his personal actions then we should definitely put one into tinkering with Inators
