In any case, here is what we know about whatever is going on with Sycorax.

-Amara is disloyal to the Yokai.
-Sycorax has managed to gain a firm foothold in the food market.
-Amara is visibly very interested in a mind affecting chemical.
-Amara is NOT interested in healing genetic disease.
-Amara is EXTREMELY interested in Lizzie's method to control or train bugs. And possibly things that ain't bugs.

Gotta say, but all that seems to be painting a concerning picture.

I don't know whether I should be excited or concerned. On one hand, Bellewether's power base is degrading rapidly and her outreach to us seems like a desperate attempt to gain control of the situation (probably thanks to our research in climate control, which she either learned thanks to our efforts in dino research or through spies), and her losing control is always a good thing. I think we should start talking with Mr. Big.

On the other, "Liv" doesn't seem all that focused on healing her original's genetic disease (if the real one is even still around, have we considered that?). Rather, she seems more focused on improving her army of monsters and/or taking control of the local populace. This is... concerning, to put it mildly. We should probably poke our heads in over there to be safe.

Judy saved her in Canon. And Judy died on the nighthowler case ( I think) so... I think it's less she died and more mr. Big has yet another reason to hate howler

What makes you say she isn't interested in curing genetic diseases? Just the fact she hasn't done it or is there something else?

Additionally it should be noted that Liv's drug learning hero has a -50 to -75 Loyalty.

Mirage offered a collaboration in genetic disease and was immediately shot down.

"But of course, I should be keeping such things for the conference table, not the dining table. Tell me Ms. Peña, would DEI be interested in a broader collaboration?"
"Certainly," You begin, pleased that Amara is willing to play ball. "Depending on the subject, of course. Perhaps you'd be interested in some of our work on genetic disease, or perhaps a collaboration in comestibles? I know both of our firms have done good work ameliorating the Breadbasket Collapse."
"No." Liv said, her eyes sparkling. "I want to know more about this." She gestures to the ant perfectly perched on the rim of Lizzy's wine glass. "Your representative has suggested a method by which ants could be controlled- or even trained on a massive scale! The implications for this are astonishing, the ecological purposes alone could lead to all sorts of grants…" she trails off, allowing you to fill in the blanks. "Of course, Sycorax is already working with the government to pursue further advances in the field."

In retrospect, I wish wed had a chance to use Tony a bit before his timely demise. Would have made it more impactful. But there hadn't been much call for the NY underworld yet, and we had like 30 other characters to introduce in that plot, so... eh. We did what we could.

Honestly, even in Gargoyles canon itself he was little more than a bit player - kinda fitting that he died in the quest with little fanfare.

Bellwether is somehow being defeated without the players having to do anything
Mr Big taking over from Bellweather could be better but probably not by much.

I expect Mr Big already has a decent idea of who orchestrated the night howler attacks. You just need to ask who benefitted from it.

Maybe he'll give prey supremacists some of their own medicine by orchestrating his own night howler attacks on them.

...did Mr. Big's daughter get killed because of Nighthowler?
No, I believe the 'family friend' is actually Judy Hopps. He declared her such after saving his daughter.
Was that confirmed on screen or are you taking the public "knowledge" of his death as fact.
If he's not dead, for some reason his death was faked in such a way Hego believed it and I find him being dead more likely, though in this universe you never know.

It wouldn't match how things went down in the confrontation with Bellwether. So if he was referring to Judy, either the museum confrontation went differently or Mr. Big found strange evidence. I am inclined to believe that Hopps got mauled by Nick rather than getting shot.

The most likely possibility of what he was referring to in my opinion is the otter whose disappearance Judy was investigating. He was an associate of Mr. Big after all.

I´d say that Judy got mauled by Nick, then after BW unveiled what "happened there" Mr. Big got suspicious because for all his talk of how "we are all wild animals below the skin", he still cared for Nick like a son and the fox "going savage" just rubbbed him the wrong way for some reason - so he dug a bit deeper and found evidence that the "savage syndrome" is induced artifically and realized that someone *murdered his granddaughter´s godmother*

For a don as "big" on Family Values as him, that crossed *several lines* and he decided to hunt down *anyone* in on the conspiracy who didn´t feel remorse.

The original Amara's problem isn't a genetic disease. She is infected with self-modifying adaptive organic nanobots called parasynths. Conventional treatments won't work.

IIRC In the show Hiro adapted his microbot controller tech for nanobots and fought the parasynths with his own nanobots swarm.

If clone Amara is still trying to revive original Amara then it makes sense that she is more interested in our advanced robot control methods than cures for genetic diseases.

...yes? He seemed hurt by Nicks stunt with the skunk butt rug to an extent that just feels *personal* and not just *good business*
It'd be pretty embarrassing if you went to show off your new expensive exotic wool rug to your wealthy friends and associates only to be informed that it is woven from the hair of a common skunk and not an exotic albino unicorn mink or whatever Nick came up with.
